  1. Actually, I'm pretty sure his words were more like he was tired of people on the internet bashing him. I point out the difference simply because critics were much nicer in what they had to say about his movies than most of the people in this thread.
  2. To be fair wasn't that issue fixed? And more importantly it didn't affect everyone as I finished my storyline as BH before it was fixed. So yes it was a problem for a some but not all, that doesn't make it acceptable but it was fixed as soon as it was possible to do so. It seems like people think these fixes happen instantly. Patience is a virtue
  3. Last time I checked I got that tax money back whenever an item failed to sell or on top of what I charged for it. Only time I didn't was when I removed something... Somehow you are referring to where does the money go when you remove something. If it is I think you are using the GTM wrong.
  4. They didn't hear that a ranking system is coming. And why wait for it to come when it's already avaliable in that other game that's infinitely better in every way than this one. Guaranteed I'll be flamed from someone who cannot read sarcasm and can't take the hint with the eyes.
  5. Shhhhhhhh they were told they were so the believe it. Don't break the image they have of themselves that since they did it once in the game they don't need to do it again.
  6. Doesn't the op's point prove this wrong? He just got done saying how it was fun on his server.( one I am happily apart of) Why was this posted in a thread about how fun it is now?
  7. Except I just raided with your mirror in a marauder in EV and he undoubtedly led in dps and you can't do that with cool downs not working properly. Just because you are having an issue doesn't mean everyone is having said issue. I do hope you get to enjoy the game soon however that may
  8. Wait.....what? On a side note, why do people make their problems sound like everyone is having the same problem? Has it occurred to the OP that the way it is now helps more people that it's hurt?
  9. So when I declare "This is a bad game" that is obviously an opinion? I didn't take Internet 201 so I guess I missed that lesson.
  10. Patience is a virtue. Good things come to those that wait. Leave and come back in a year. This game will have the things you want then. But take this as a learning experience,do not buy an MMO at launch if you are not prepared for things not to be perfect.
  11. They didn't spend that much...but even if they did, it's not like that money went to buying the rights to the IP, or paying the composers or musicians, or to the writers and voice over actors. Nope the money went all into game design, not advertising either.
  12. I lvld a BH first nd Mako is OP. Heals rock. Only thing I can think of is making sure your gear is up to par for your marauder. I've had the misfortune of being ***** by level 50 marauders so that tells me it is able to get past that part. As far as your sorc, again idk I've seen many sorcs past level 19 so idk what's going on with your game. Hopefully it get resolves soon. I wish you well in your gaming endeavors.
  13. No it's not. The problem I have with these complaints is that they are to extreme. People make it out to seem like the game is unplayable when that's false. I haven't experienced one road block either. Are there bugs? Yes. Are they annoying? Yes. Is the game still fun/enjoyable for me? Yes. So I'll still be playing. If it's not for you maybe you shouldn't play it? The difference is I recognize that this game came out during the holidays when people are on break. I also recognize that an MMO is an investment more that any other type of genre. So I am happy with what I have thou I expect it to improve. What roadblock did u experience though, that made it impossible to get to the next stage of the game?
  14. I disagree. I dint think a casual is QQing over the lack of target of target. I'm not a casual and didn't know what that was or that the game was missing it until I came here to see the reaction the forums were getting, only to find people complaining about features that weren't in an MMO and the lack of a customizable UI. Those complaints are not casual complaints I don't think. What I am seeing is people who got used to certain things in other MMOs and when they got here and didn't see them they proceeded to complain about them not being in immediately. I don't think these people are casuals. I thought a casual just moves on to the next one? That's what happened with the wii. People didn't go on nintendo's forums and complain there was nothing to do on it. Hardcore gamers did. Casuals put it away and didn't look at it again unless it was a party or something. Bottom line these complains are not from casuals and I have a feeling casuals are enjoying this game.
  15. Why go to forums to tell people you aren't having fun?
  16. But STO isn't dead if it's on life support is it. And the small population disagrees with you about whether or not it's worth playing. Numbers do not tell whether or not something is good or bad. Millions love Justin Beiber does that mean he makes good music? The movie Dick Tracy didn't do well finically and I don't think most people think it's a good movie. But it is if you know anything about the makings of a film. Maybe the dictionary got updated again and I missed this memo again, but last time I checked dead meant not living ceasing to exist. The only MMO that ceases to exist is SWG. All these other "dead" MMOs still have a player base and are making someone some kind of money otherwise they wouldn't be around anymore.
  17. I disagree with your premise because how do you know they have the same story as you? This could only conceivably be a problem if you were role playing, and if you are you should already know how to get around that. Unless two bounty hunters are in the same story area there really isn't a way to know what happened in there except for out of game knowledge. And if you use that you can already say goodbye to Star Wars because pretty much everything in this universe can't happen. Suspension of disbelief is needed and if you aren't willing to give it then maybe this isn't the game for you? I have a max level bounty hunter and enjoyed my class story from beginning to end. Yet I have not wondered ever about the other level 50 bounty hunters on my server and the fact that they must have completed a similar story to mine. I dontt because it's not important, I simply played to enjoy the game which I did. There's nothing in the overall world to indicate that other people experienced a similar story to you so why is this a problem?
  18. In response to the OP, before Steve Jobs came a long no one wanted an iPod, we all had cd players. To me that simply says that people don't always know what they want. I like the added story. The thing that impresses me the most about this MMO is that I'm never pushing myself to play. I really am just experiencing my story. And that's fun. I think that it'll be hard for me to play another MMO that doesn't have that story because I will feel like I'm pushing myself to play. That's been my past experiences with other MMOs. At 50 it's been slightly different. While my class story is done I still have bonus series and other story lines to complete. Just like any other MMO thou there is a gear grind at the top. But I think that's just how MMOs operate as I havn't played an MMO that didn't have that. So yes I do think story is something MMO players want if only to get from 1-max level without feeling like a grind. One you complete all the companion quests and bonus stories on each planet you are left in the place every MMO leaves you. The catch with this game is that your story will continue whenever BW releases the next chapter. I think it will work out in the end in a positive fashion for bioware.
