  1. Yeah, rip the mods and augment a shell that you like.
  2. Yeah, let's flip that coin and say that field respecs can't be used in ops, when that extra heal or tank would be useful, and let the QQ'ing begin. Why wouldn't you allow a respec? When the random group builder puts 5 healers on a team or none, wouldn't it be convenient to swap over to dps, or vice versa? No, let's take away options for a team because a few people get excited when they see a team with no healers, and then rage when one pops up.

    MVP Why?

My MVP pecking order is highest objectives>significant protection>effective heals>kills>highest damage
  4. Haha, this guy rules! Then he'll un-ignore to get in another couple of rage whispers before re-ignoring. My favorite is Mr. Under-achieving General. You know, the guy who starts barking... I mean.... offering suggestions on strategies, followed by a polite "DON'T SUCK U F'IN NOOBS. He then spends his time in the warzone calling out commands and strats, chastising the failures. Because of his dedication to communication, he sacrfices his own performance; having 2 medals, <100k damage, 12k prot, and 873 healing. The stress of being a warzone leader never gets to him though, as he kindly reminds you that TOR may not be your game, and that you should unsub...
  5. I've only used Tharan on my Shadow. He's a good healer, and Holiday CC's mobs.
  6. If you want to get a feel for it, PVP while you level. Pay attention to what the objectives of each wz are and learn what to and not to do (ie...Calling incoming while guarding nodes, not deserting nodes, getting tunnel vision). At 55, you'll be able to compete if you're knowledgeable about PVP. You won't roflstomp people without the gear, but the gear disparity isn't what it was pre-2.0 either. Also, if you play a class that can heal or taunt, it doesn't hurt to step back and support your team if that's needed. Hope this helps you.
  7. I personally love Huttballers bringing the ball to their own endzone, especially when there's about 3 or 4 respawners waiting on him...
  8. I think diminishing returns on cc's would be a good idea, but cover is fine the way it is. A sniper is a stationary class. Taking away cover significantly hinders their ability to deal damage: whether through LOS'ing or keeping them moving. They can already be bunted out of cover and cc'd in cover (sans entrench). Making them chargable would make them near worthless. They pack high damage at the cost of mobility. Edited for better clarity.
  9. I find that a lot of the buffs and triggers from procs are only signified by a faint glow and of course, the buff itself. I'm not sure if this has been requested before, but I think more visible procs would be beneficial.
  10. Yeah, this can't be as intended. Yet, I haven't seen a gold post on this, even though there have been numerous threads on it.
  11. Have you thought about a Naga or Logitech mouse? 12 buttons on the side helped me out a lot. I started very simply: I added using the letter "r". It became my "smash" button on my jugg. I also decided to use "t" for "throw huttball", and that is bound to my huttball on all my toons. I went one at a time, and that helped tons. Also, I only use numbers 1-5 because I find it a waste to start reaching across the keyboard for something. Just add one at a time and see what happens. Hope this helps!
  12. No, he was comparing low greens to not having anything, I believe. I was in the same boat though. Hit 55 on my Inf Shadow with about 2000 rwz's and maxed wz's. I bought my Conqueror Earpiece and my Partisan MH/OH. I queue'd up expecting to get roflstomped, as I did when I hit 50, and to my surprise, I was competitive. As a fresh 55, with base bolster, you should be happy with competitive. It's not discouraging, like entering your first wz and getting plowed over and over again by some tard fotm mouth-breather with enough free time to power grind comms, and if you even remotely have skill or know what you're doing, you can make a difference. Maxing out your gear will give you a competitive advantage. This system works great, it's the learning curve reality-check that people are hating.
  13. Two thumbs up! Great job, I'd play this character.
  14. To further go down this rabbit hole, let's just say we lower the amount of resolve in this diminishing returns system by half. Just for argument's sake, let's make the diminishing returns linear at 10% chance to miss per 100 resolve. A 4 sec CC gives a 40% chance to miss, but your chances of cc'ing the target are still pretty good. This, combined with smart use of interrupts, bunts, etc... gives you that effectiveness against healers, but the increasing chance to miss would still allow resolve to work. EDIT: For Clarity.
  15. What say you gents about having diminishing returns on resolve? The higher your actual resolve (x/1000) the less chance of a CC applying. Then you can keep the full resolve duration as is and have limited effectiveness the higher the resolve. I think that the binary concept of CC (off or on) is what's excessive. But if you're CC'd for four seconds and the next one has a 50% chance to hit (example percentage), then I think that would go a long way towards fixing the system.
  16. I got to 51 last night. Enjoyed the heck out of the story and cutscenes. I primarily PVP, but I haven't even queued for a WZ yet. I understand some want to hit 55 as fast as possible, but IMO, they're missing out. Everything's well done.
