  1. This is a fantastic idea. I've been looking for social gear for my smuggler that looks like trooper/bounty hunter armor (as part of his story is that he has a Mandalorian background, he SHOULD have his armor!) Additions like this would solve my problem. Great selection in the pics!
  2. I realize this is gonna sound a bit like I'm shaking my cane and croaking out "Well back in MY day...." But here is a little perspective for you. I ended up on a variety of low pop servers in "that other game that shall not be named". I played since beta. Rerolled several times before transfers existed. Never ONCE did they offer a free transfer off the realm I was on, or respond to the repeated requests to merge low pop servers together. All those low pop servers still exist. My characters aren't on them anymore, but to get them elsewhere I had to pay. And pay. And pay. Each character. $25. Each time. That happened three separate times when the server I was on died from lack of a reasonable population. Honestly, so far from what I've seen, Bioware is rolling this out both quickly and effectively, targeting appropriate source and destination servers. (Do you know how long it was before you could even *have* paid server transfers in That Other Game? It was 2 YEARS after launch, and if you didn't like your destination you had to wait 6 months before trying again.) I don't see my server listed yet, but since this has only been a few hours since the service went live I look forward to seeing where my server pops up. This is a great game. I am reminded of that every time I log in to play, even with a low population. With the transfers, we will get our communities built.
  3. Here is a list from Bioware: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=477706 I don't see my server listed on there as either a source or destination server, but since this has only been a few hours since the service went live I look forward to seeing where my server pops up.
  4. I would just like to second (or third or fourth) the request for more character slots on the same server. I understand that currently there are probably technical issues involved with this, but solving them needs to be a pretty high priority. I'm already starting to feel the pinch of having only 8 slots and the game is less than 3 months old. 6 of mine are already spoken for with characters that are part of my legacy/story. I want to experience the stories for both factions and tie those together, but currently this is impossible--at least on the same server. I have played That Other Game for the last 7 years and even with 10 character slots and no real legacy or reason to tie characters together, people wanted more slots per server. You want to keep your characters together for story reasons, for legacy reasons, for simply practical reasons of profession and monetary support. You do not want to have your characters scattered across 5 different servers. Not to mention with new story options coming up (like same-sex romances etc) there are elements of the game I want to be able to experience with characters and it would be sad to have them on another server away from not only my other characters but also from the players in my guild. So please please please! Work on more Character Slots!!! ps. for the above poster, I did play the West End Games Star Wars RPG for probably about 5-6 years straight. Since it was set in the Original Trilogy timeframe we had almost no Jedi characters--certainly none that were trained. But characters could have Force abilities, and certainly Force sensitivity, which could manifest itself in different ways and I know several of my characters did, even though officially they were classed as Brash Pilots or Tongue-Tied Engineers (they had such funny class names!)
  5. Last week Daniel Erickson mentioned new species as part of the legacy system and also, with regards to server transfers, that "The Legacy System will take some first steps towards incentivizing players to look at what the other side has to offer..." I'm one of those people who likes to call one sever "home" and if I create characters of the other faction I would like to have them on the same server. Are there any plans to open more character slots per server so we can have more options for gameplay?
  6. I also like the changes proposed here, though I can live with how it is now. However I definitely want to put in my vote for seeing a male body type 2.5: tall but lean. I had an idea for an Agent who is a tall rangey fellow... and just couldn't do it with the body types offered. Along the same lines I would also like to see a body type... er 4.5? for females. While I like the fact that they have a "fuller-figured" option, and I like the cute rounded face you can get with that type, she's too tall, imo. Being a female player myself, I would like to have the option of playing a shorter girl who also has some curves instead of just being a stick. (not saying, but just sayin, I might have played a female dwarf in other games....) =)
  7. Yep, I realize I can give her the Rank 2 gift for 24 each. But if I'm buying the things... I can spend 600 credits and get 24 affection or I can spend 200x3 credits (600) and get 12x3 affection (36). So sadly it is still more cost effective to give her rank 1 tokens. What bothers me is that she is past this magical 2k mark yet I'm not getting standard rep gains as some people have said. Rank 2 still only gives 24. She did not go up to the usual 54 (or whatever it is) that it should be for a most liked gift. A rank 2 Blue republic memorabilia (supposedly her highest liked gift) only gave me 40 affection. I guess all I'm saying is, I'm not seeing any appreciable difference for having gotten her to 2k affection.
  8. I stuffed vendor bought rank 1 gifts down her throat for 24 affection until the 2k mark after which she moved on to only gaining 12 affection. *sigh* I can buy the more expensive rank 2 gifts but it's still only 24 affection. A rank 2 blue I got from the auction house only gave 40. I do not have the option of flirting with her as I'm a female character. I don't particularly want to run with her out in my conversations so this is going to be annoying and expensive. There does seem to be a bug with the companion UI that displays the ship icon even when they don't want to talk (I've noticed it with all companions). However, if you right click on them to get their response dialog, if they really DO want to talk to you, they will say so. If they just give you one of their standard responses, then they have nothing to say.
