I think this would be a good thing to do... A NAME check BEFORE creating character. Many times players make a character look the way they do because of their name. It would be cool to have a name check BEFORE we finish creating the character. Basically a name check that if available locks the name in for you giving you time to create the character the way you want. Not just jumping into the game the moment a name is available. So, I want to name my guy Bill and have him look a certain way. The only way I know if bill is taken is to Type in Bill and if it's available it throws you right in game. What I am suggesting is that it checks to see if the name Bill is available and IF so, lock it for you for a few minutes giving you time to create the character without having to worry about what to name it or being forced into the game just to know if the name is available. And likely the moment I hit send this will be on page 4 and nobody will ever see it. hahaha
Names.....find a way. (Jurassic park anyone?)
I would say there is a zero percent chance the name I want will be taken......but if an ALTS name is taken I will flip a table for making me think of something else.
The only problem though is that 80% of the posts were the same and they passed so quickly by the time you replied to one thread, all the new ones were on page 4.
I will rage, Wait another day, and continue to rage until I get in.
Actually I will only wait another day. I don't rage.
I just feel their method is majorly flawed, but I will not rage.
In beta you could turn it off in the menu. I can't access a menu to tell you exactly what it is, but there IS an option to turn ON and OFF the hover over, AND to turn it on to show up without having to hover over....Just look around in the settings....probably interface menu and you should locate it.
