  1. Good luck finding these ! Just a tip for Ortol: he fires the rockets every time he drops by 10% of his health, then I have found it best to wait for the rockets to actually ignite before DPSing again
  2. I don't buy the "He was sorta guilty in the end" about Aric, wasn't he just coordinating Havoc Squad and the Ord Mantell Army's efforts ? Playing "liaison" ? Plus, if you wanna be a bit... something... Maybe Garza's more in fault ? I mean, with us, she's constantly telling us "Do not reveal anything to the SIS, do not say anything to the Senate, do not say anything to our allies on other planets, do not..." You know, kinda screwing everything ?
  3. Well, Sages, by way of their mirror, Sorcerors, are usually considered overpowered by quite a few posters on this site so... maybe there's a little bit of truth in that ? ormaybe it just means Commandos are underpowered ?
  4. It's just Commandos that get do not an interrupt, Vanguards get one
  5. Personnellement, je les trouve tous tellement creux que j'aimerais pouvoir les balancer dans le bureau de Garza avec une étiquette: " Adoptez-les vous-même ! "
  6. I guess the low ammo cost of gut could be one of the reasons people like it.
  7. I just say my guy taps on the gun's invisible buttons to activate a cheat code or two
  9. I'va had those, too. Two days straight of Imperials with healers, tanks, and overall better synergy than my PuGs, which always incorporated at least one of those guys who yells "WE'RE SCREWED! ABANDON SHiP! REPUBLIC SUCKS!" right at the sart. I wonder if these guys were part of the opposing team, put there to kill our mood ? But after those two days it went "normal", you win some, you lose some ! I guess a combination of holidays (lotsa kids in my team, maybe ?) and me playing right after the daily quest reset ("Let's get it over with, guys...") ? Or maybe I just slacked more than usual and just got what I deserved ? And the thing about going on an Imp' Alt to play with those good teams just to get stuck with the same loosers but wearing red and black instead of white and blue... Priceless, yeah ! Got those each time I tried that "technique".
  10. I promoted Aric but, frankly, I would have promoted Forex if possible, at least the droid's got override codec somewhere ! I never liked Elara nor Aric, both seem to me like they got some problems "up there", Aric being and idiot and Elara having some sorta issue with her defection and finding comfort in the study of the Republic Army's Regulations. Creepy. So, why Aric in the end ? I guess because he didn't lecture me every time I executed a surrendered enemy. Hell, even if I don't trust him, I still trust him more than Elara to do "what's right".
  11. Dunno, it's always been the way I described since I started playing (second or third day of Early Access, so, no Beta).
  12. Smoke grenade is pretty good against Melee and Ranged attacks, it's RNG-ish but it does hinder the Warriors/Knights and the 'slingers/Snipers. It just does, it debuffs their accuracy and they need it to hit you with most of their attacks. And, remember, it's instant cast and does not need you to stop moving, it just debuffs the guys in the area of effect when you cast it. I'm gonna say that again: Smoke Grenade doesn't require you to stop moving, it just puts a debuff on the players in its area of effect. And it's freaking free to cast, it doesn't use a single energy cell ! And the debuff lasts 18 seconds ! You might wanna use that point for something else and that's perfectly viable but, please, do not spread erroneous information
  13. I'd say "Go with whatever cell your spec uses", like High Energy if you take the talents for it in Tactics, Plasma to proc neat stuff in Assault and Ion for the tanking tree
  14. Weird ! Haven't had that happen to me... yet. But, sometimes, when I'm in the middle of... anything, something similar happens, my guy just runs off in that one direction until I press that specific key myself.
  15. Funny, I actually prefer Stockstrike to Rocket Punch, I think RP just looks silly... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFtw7qW7Vcw&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PLBCC8EED4B298355D Amusing at first but then... Oh well, that's just my opinion ! I like things to be vaguely... "realistically humane". If that makes sense.
  16. He's a Republic-friendly Hutt ! That might explain something...
  17. Gault was awesome, I wish you could get him as a smuggler (might become redundant though...). Risha was quite good, too. T7 was a bit bland but still makes for an amazing coffee machi- I mean, astromech droid !
  18. It's more like commanding a squad of Mass Effect SPECTREs than anything, I found myself thinking.
  19. Although I understand the sentiment, didn't you notice that kind of... all quests promising power, money, twi'lek slave girls and bundles of that funny weed Jawas smoke around their campfire were... full of what comes out bulls' behinds ? The more it looks like a pact with TEH DEVIL! the less likely it is to get you something good.
  20. Un peu d'afflux c'est marrant aussi, pour les critiques de "cross'dantaydents " qui tombent touts seuls via les talents !
  21. I like it as a tank, a bit slow but quite reliable, with Aric Jorgan to help on the DPS'ing or Elara to make sure I don't die (but then it's not just slow, it's SNAIL slow). I tried very briefly to do it as a DPS but didn't like it, felt it was a bit too stressful, but I might just suck with Tactics and Assault.
  22. Yeah, I can't remember having any problems with the "gun smack", you probably encountered people specced for some kinda immunity like suggested above.
  23. I haven't experienced the 5O bracket yet, so I might say weird stuff. I tank. With a PvE build. It's pretty good ! Just remember that those sorcerous Sith have an advantage against you where their more brutish friends and their sniper pals will have it a bit rougher with you, especially when debuffed by the smoke grenade, yaknow, Force and Tech attacks versus Ranged and Melee ? One important thing to do is using guard dynamically, putting it on the guy getting molested the hardest and not just leaving it on that one guy who looked like a healer to you at the start with his grey robe... And keep a couple of CDs ready to survive some of the bigger damage. Guard and taunts really help the team ! Taunts are mostly ignored by the enemy since they're so sneaky and guard really only seemed to get noticed by the more experienced players. And, although our damage is lowish, I find myself soloing people from time to time (CDs help when the guy trying to **** you is somewhat skilled) because I'm so sturdy. Then there is the charge, mostly fun for those Huttball games with oblivious adversaries and TEH HARPOON-O-SAURUS ! It glitches sometimes but it's still an awesome tool: pulling the guy grabbing the ball at the start of a game in the acid (works quite often in the pre-50 bracket, dunno about max level), making roasted Sith and even creating some "MacGyver" moments, like jumping in the pit in front of your team's goal and pulling the guy at the right time so he doesn't score ! Taking knockback junkies with you in Voidstar and that horrid bridge, but you gotta be fast ! Charge is also cool a way to say "NO !" to knockbacks and interrupting cast time abilities. I'd say, as a tank, you gotta be a "support" guy, debuffing the enemy and flushing 'em out of their ledges with the grapple, and, well, just being a pain in the *** to kill, spamming Explosive Surge when they're trying to cap a node to gain a couple of seconds of breathing room. Also, DPS'ing them a bit ! Might not be much but it's still Tech-Lightning in their face.
  24. Like has already been said, HIB is on a different CD than Demo Round and I think even uses a different stackable buff.
  25. Yeah, animation tweaks and "improvements" are usually pretty far down the " to do " list of MMO crews, which is understandable. Then again, storm's animation can get so bad so easily... On a lil' more serious note, I do think something related to our ion cell would be nice and contribute to the "electric" theme the tanking tree, heck, the Vanguard AC in general, as going on. As for your reverse harpoon, I don't know, it doesn't seem... "physics" enough for my tastes ! Troopers are usually beefy, wearing heavy armor, lotsa gunny gun gun stuff: it feels like grappling a wiry sith sorceror of doom and evilish blackness from the void of the deepest corners of the Dark Side of the Force woulf just pull the guy to us, so I thought an "Ion Charge" would be more appropriate, like overloading the armor's servos or hydraulics or what-do-I-know and jump in a burst of blue sparks of Freedom and Republican Justice. And that's without taking into account the "glictchy" nature of that cheap huttese harpoon they gave us... So often do the Sith get pulled on the freaking ramp above the acid pit in Huttball because the game couldn't handle the stress of PvP combat...
