  1. Thanks. Out of the multiple posts here, yours was one of the few that wasn't QQ, and was actually helpful. I sincerely wish a happy weekend to you and the ones you care about, and thanks for posting this information.
  2. You can go further than this, but it's pretty shallow.
  3. You get the healer on Hoth, so 38~40ish.
  4. Glad to know I wasn't the only who thought that thing was overly difficult. I'm not averse to difficulty or anything, I just wasn't expecting more elites than a flashpoint throws at you.
  5. Thanks for the reply! And sorry for the wall of text. And actually what you said is what I'm hearing from other people too - DPS aren't really "squishy" in this game. They can handle the trash and strong mobs. So yah, maybe I did try too hard to have EVERYTHING on me.
  6. The Heroic, on Taris, was called "The Fathers of Taris" or something like that. I was 33, with the quest being labled a level 34 quest. I'm obviously a shield tech Bounty Hunter, and I've never had trouble "tanking" before. I've run every flashpoint so far multiple times, and a few Heroics, too. I have all of my survivability traits/talents/skills and I have about a 45% damage reduction along with a 24% shield chance (Just got access to Empowered Tech to boost shield chance) and a 30% or so Absorption rating. We wiped hard multiple times, but eventually trucked through it. Here were the problems: - Waves of mobs including 4 Silvers/2~3 Golds at a time. - Golds don't come down until AFTER you pull, meaning only OOC CC we could use (And we only had 2 OOC CCs) was on the Silver mobs. - I would pop my defensives/Oil Slick/Sonic Missile and proceed to pull mobs off of people. I couldn't use Death from Above nor my other AoE damagers for fear of breaking CC. So I spent a lot of time pulling individual mobs off of people. - After doing all of the above I would look down and be almost dead. The healer could keep me up for a short while (Operative healing, I'll put the party comp down below) but the DPSes were getting damaged too. - DPS would be on separate mobs, sometimes on Golds before silvers. I witnessed while dead one DPS attacking a gold with 20% health, while the other DPS next to him was attacking a Gold with over 80% health. The good news is I was always the first one to die. That generally means to me I had the most attention of the mobs. The bad news is I died. Every pull pretty much. I couldn't keep tabs on what the healer was doing, but she also had to heal the DPSes who weren't getting ROCKED, but were still taking damage. No icons were used, which I thought was silly. But the healer and one DPS were in the same guild so they kept track of who to CC. The party Composition: Powertech Tank (Me) Operative Healer Mercenary DPS Juggernaut DPS I'm honestly depressed. After doing so good in flashpoints, this Heroic kind of shocked me. FPs tend to throw trash, 1 or 2 silvers, and a gold or two. It's really not hard. But this one was a full company of silvers and golds. Where do things sound like they went wrong? Not focus firing the silvers was obviously a problem, but I doubt I would have stayed alive the entirety of each pull if we did, considering how many blaster bolts I was taking. Also, the boss went swimmingly. Held threat the entire time and wasn't ever close to dying. Is the Fathers of Taris Heroic just a pain in the ***? Or will flashpoints/heroics be like that from now on?
  7. Figured it out. After I killed his companion she "stayed alive" for when I need to talk to her - Only Bioware decided they would allow her to heal her master after she's been defeated. If it happens to you just pull him away from her.
  8. So I finally get to Kellian Jarro. I take out his companion, and start wailing on him. He CONSTANTLY recovers HP once his life gets below 40~50%. No spells being cast. Nothing I notice is healing him. But he recovers CHUNKS of it at a time, about 20% per tick. And it's getting REALLY annoying. I'm typing this as I'm fighting him and I've been fighting him for *20* minutes as a Shield tech BH. Yes, literally 20 minutes. Heroic moment just got off cooldown. I'm not sure what to do. The lowest I've gotten him before he recovered was about 14%. This is getting stupid. Is there a fight mechanic that I'm missing here? I'm not noticing any green beams of light healing him, and no pixies either. What the hell do I do? ><
  9. The answer is to bump operative survivability, nerf their damage. Do you see why the ONLY argument operatives make is "We need our damage because our survivability sucks!"? It's because you LOVE having twice the damage done as any other class in a Warzone. You don't care that you don't have any utility. That doesn't mean the class isn't broken. Lower the damage burst, raise the utility/survivability. It makes no sense when an Operative is the highest in a Warzone by 2~3x damage of the second place person. It just doesn't. No one's saying Operative can't be the highest burst, but it's TOO high. But operatives don't see that. They see the damage, love it, and don't want anything to change because they can pull out ye old "But we can't do anything else! QQ" card. And you know what? Everyone else knows you guys suck at other stuff. That's why it needs to change.
  10. Topic. I was never an EG raider in WoW, hit 85 and quit. As a Marauder, I'm making my own purple mods/armor that don't match up to the stuff I can buy off Ilum's commendations, but I've only ever found two repeatable quests there. I can't complete the PVP dailies on Ilum because the Empire controls all the areas and there are no republics taking them back. So how do I gear myself up for progression? Can I enter the hard mode flashpoints as I am?
  11. Why should a healer be allowed to smash a DPS in a Warzone? I stun healers all the time and they manage to keep themselves alive long enough for support to come. They can also sprint away, knock me away, whirlwind me, etc. The point to being a healer is team support. Not solo kills.
  12. I enjoy Cybertech. You make your own mounts, grenades, and mods. Granted, most mods can be gotten from commendations, so it's not good while leveling. But I'm also pretty sure you can't get Purple mods from vendors, so you can make those at 50 to buff yourself out which I am currently in the process of doing. Disassemble green mods for blue mod schematics. Farm materials for blue mods, then disassemble blue mods for purple mod schematics. Still trying for my purple mod schematics for my top mods Anyhoo, I like the fact that I make my own mounts that no one else can use. Sure I wish I could sell them, but hey, only those who take cybertech can use them and they look pretty awesome.
  13. I'm curious on this. I recently hit 45 and tried out all 3 specs on the way up. I respecced to carnage just now and tried it out in PVP. I melted faces. Anyhoo, my topic title is my question. Massacre and Vicious Slash both have the same rage cost, and no cooldown. Massacre does more damage (I do believe) when you take into account the Ataru form strike, and the extra ataru strikes you might proc on your further hits. I also believe (Though I could be wrong) they share the same talents except for Brutality in the Rage tree that increases the critical chance of Vicious Slash by 15%. Is that enough to warrant using it over Massacre? Does Massacre replace Vicious slash?
  14. Stupid me. I just saw the topic down below. Well, another topic asking to make Savage Kick useable in PVP. >: | Also make it knockback the target. I'm asking for too much, aren't I? Bleh. Marauder is still fun as hell.
  15. I haven't tried it in PvE, but in PvP I've used Crippling Slash, slowed the Assassin down, and it won't let me use Savage Kick. Apparently Juggernauts get another movement reducing ability that works with it, but Crippling Slash -> Savage Kick should work, right?
