  1. I play a scoundrel, split spec between healer and dps. I use Corso Riggs, the ranged tank companion, exclusively and it works just fine. Versus 3-4 normal mobs my level I dont have to heal him, and he keeps aggro. Vs a single Strong enemy i dont have to heal if i keep up my own dps, vs 2 strong I will heal and dps. Vs 1 Elite I will mostly heal and throw in dps when he is high on hitpoints. I have no complaints . Ive geared him up every chanse I get, often taking small upgrades for him over badges as quest rewards, and using badges for gear for him when available. He uses several orange items that i keep updated with new mods etc. He has quite a lot more hitpoints than my healer/dps character and much better damage mitigation. When I get aggro from mobs I die *much* more quickly than he does, thats for sure.
  2. Im not going to argue the bottleneck issue past this post since peoples milage may vary - I'm just going to say that my upgrade from a 8800GT to a GTX460 raised my fps in all games significantly on my E8800 cpu based setup. I did some research before the upgrade about the bottlenecking, and from tests and theory on overclocking sites etc came to the conclusion that it mostly wont happen on a dual core clocked around 3ghz or higher - its got all the bandwidth and processing power needed for a 460-470 GTX card, and shouldn't seriously bottleneck a system until you start putting in 560Ti cards and higher. Yes, some bottlenecking will occur, but it will still be a worthwhile and simple upgrade compared to a new motherboard, cpu, memory, and a new install etc. Have fun upgrading, and good luck!
  3. I upgraded my aging system with a GTX460 and it runs the game very well. Coupled with a E8400 (core2duo) cpu at 3.0ghz and 4 gigs of 800mhz ram. My fps can drop to the high 20s but usually stay between 30-40, with everything maxed.
  4. Ive had this problem too. In my case the reward window poped up again randomly later, after about 10-15 min while doing something else.
  5. Well said, this is definetly the way to handle such a big launch. Couldn't care less if I get in one or five days early for a game I'm likely going to play for years. The important thing is that the launch is smooth. People need to remember the staggered launch is for the benefit of us, the players, not something done out of spite.
