  1. ./signed Unsubbing due to Corso Riggs
  2. Tiggs was awesome, didn't she resign or lose her job when she made a comment regarding the NGE.
  3. Tony obviously you don't know much regarding the Gaming/IT industry from your narrow minded approach. As I am sure there are many sub teams that are working on server moves / mergers within Bioware and not 1 single Team/Area. UI developers will be needed for the call center support people to implement server moves, even call center scripts will need to be updated if you decide to do it via phone. Technical Database Engineers will need to build out the correct SQL scripts or whatever database system they are using for the 'server trasnfer client' that the support teams will use. im sure some form of java developers will need to build out a client / tool that will allow the support teams to move people easily. Web Developers for the web Frontend to select a character transfer. Graphic designers for the web sites front end interface too.... needless to say do you really think that there is only '1' single team working on server transfers.... narrow minded. Resources will get moved about from project to project. Some of the work on the server transfers might have a knock on effect on some of the bug fixes, content that some of the other teams are trying to implement.. Trolling is Trolling. Its a poll for priority, nothing more nothing else, but by all means... 'Carry on'.
  4. There is a lot of debate in the community about server population. Any insight on how you guys feel about the population distribution? JO: We always take feedback from the community and from all kinds of different sources like our telemetry metrics, and take it very seriously. When we hear that from the community, we are listening. We have the plan to allow for character transfers in the future. The legacy system actually is another reason why character transfer is becoming more important. It is one of our biggest priorities right now; that and group finder are essentially are biggest priorities coming in the near future after Update 1.2. Is there any discussion of merging servers or adding incentives to move players to low pop servers? JO: No, we’re not going to. Merging servers is not something we are looking at. We have a very healthy game right now, so that is not something we are looking at in the near future. We're always going to look at ways to make sure a server is healthy. There are a whole bunch of different ways you can do that. We're discussing them. We want to make sure players feel like there are enough players on their server to play with. Doesn't look as if merges will happen going by the comments from the Q&A session at Pax. I will update the results shortly.

So my question to the community is -Do you think the delay in server transfers and the announcement that server mergers will not be considered will be detrimental to the game and the decline in some servers populations? Please keep it civil.
  6. Updated first post with Accurate and latest results. Those questioning the accuracy, feel free to double check
  7. Sorry to Disappoint you but its very very simply to update the poll accurately. If you haven't already noticed that I usually post every 2-3 pages which means 'at most' its 20 posts I need to read from the last time I posted in the thread.. Wow, 20-25 posts that I need to read and tabulate to the 1st page results, so to the poster, just because 'YOU' cannot be bothered to read 22 pages worth, doesn't mean that some of the rest of us could not be bothered to read 22 pages worth. If anyone who hasn't answered with one of the 3 categories I have placed at the start or have only posted things like 'yes' then they are not tabulated into any of the results. Simples. I will be updating the results of the front page shortly.
  8. Sandbox gaming was where the fun was - You made your own content... simple as that.
  9. "So sure of Biowares inner working you are? hmmmmm" Do you not think it would be reasonable that they pull and combine resources across multiple teams to work on a common goal? Is it not be possible to pull someone who is a DBA working in the game environment and plug them into a task with the server maintenance team? Are we even certain the server maintenance team are responable for coding the ability to do server mergers or are they only responsible for the physical server / connectivity / stability? I'm afraid you or I simply don't know how Bioware have their teams structured. Coming from an Engineering background in a Voice / Telephony area, DBA's / Voice Engineers work collaboratively on a number of different projects - so to say that 1 team is solely responsible for working on 1 aspect of the game should never be the case - there will always be resource overlap. Updated the original post with your selections so far.
  10. *Poll Updated* Keep using the format of 1. 2. or 3. Thanks for your input so far!
  11. 1 - Yes, Their top Priority should be on Server Merges / Transfers 2 - No, Their top Priority should be more content 3 - Don't really care about either option / I have another opinion Lets see if we can get a Poll going. What do you think Bioware's top priority should be at the moment.. Content, Server Merges/Transfers or do you have another opinion? Current Priority Poll Results 119 Votes - Mergers/Transfers 30 Vote - Content (from 1.2 Onwards) 29 Vote - Not Concerned / Other Suggestions / Game Polishing (Ill try and keep it as up to date as possible) *Edit* Re-Tabulated this from page 1 through to page 23 and read every single post. Poll is accurate as of 7th of April 12:24PM
  12. Couldn't have said it any better myself - Customer Experience should be 'key' to what Bioware do. Their Silence on this matter is only adding fuel to the fires as there have been discussions regarding server population that have went all the way back to Jan, which were frankly ignored. I can guarantee that Bioware will not doing a thing about this until somewhere in July, but by then, I fear it will be a little too late as most disgruntled players on the majority of low population servers will have left to go play Diablo or GW2 beta or something else to spend their time on instead of not paying for a product that is not offering a MMO experience (massively Multiplayer being the key words)
  13. OP really does come across as an ***. You put your post out into the public domain for people to reply and that is the sort of response you give... Pfft. After reading 1/2 way down the page you are only looking for people to agree with you, you are not looking at people breaking down and proving otherwise. Thread is a waste of time.
  14. Sorry should have clarified.... no rollback..... should have had a question mark at the end of it. Haven't played in a few days /sadpanda
  15. I support the use of the phase "Clueless Monkeys". That is all
