The Red Eclipse Post consolidation Operation Progression Status The primary thread for this is on the unofficial forums and can be found at; http://www.redeclipse.eu/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=451 I will endeavor to update from both threads. Firstly, thank you to the authors of the originally thread. However as it is no longer being updated and has not for a long while regally I have started a new thread for 1.4 and beyond Please post all kills with: Guild Name, Faction Boss,difficulty(8/16/Story/Hard/Nightmare),Date(DD/MM/YY),Time (in GMT if poss, SS or stream link with time) Boss,difficulty(8/16/Story/Hard/Nightmare),Date(DD/MM/YY),Time (in GMT if poss, SS or stream link with time) I will endeavor to have the kills in the right order, I will make mistakes, don't get angry just point it out please. If there is a dispute over a kill time I will use the proof provided. If anyone wants to help with the thread and one of the admins can let them edit this as well it woudl be helpful. I will (and anyone else who help) post when we have updated the thread. I will try and do this at least once a week and let you know if I am away for a while. Edit: For easy of reading and to keep it formal could I please get times in GMT if possible, make sure you have your timezone at least or I wont rank it other than last on that day. and can we get dates in DD/MM/YY format. Cheers all Quote from lmarinen to help with anyone confused with timezones, Thank you lmarinen
  2. Its fun. I love the PvE and PvP(hated PvP on wow). I think of going back to wow... and .. well no I just couldn't now, and GW2 bored me within about 2 days. I do like the setting, but if the game was bad that would not be enough to keep me. I just love the game play and the feel of the game in general, its a pleasure to play unlike others to me.
  3. Well I have done it this week, and that says working as intended, me thinks you did it already and forgot , I guess we will see next week. EDIT: Just went on my alt, You are quite right I don't seem to be able to get the weekly, sorry for doubting. As the below posts states, guess it kinda makes since for F2P as we don't want F2Pers in full BH gear.
  4. But then you also get threads like this. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=539483 So obv everyone does not agree. I love the worlds in SWTOR
  5. Hang on did they say it was no longer there or working as intended (which could mean you did it already this reset)?
  6. One of my guildies had this. Well one of my guidlies thought he had this. Did them all on tues before 1.4 and due to the patch got confused with days so had done them but thought he had not. Any chance you completed these on Tues before the patch
  7. Update your driver if you have not to the very latest. One of my guildies had issues, this fixed it. If it does not work you can always roll back and then at least you have tried that.
  8. The resolve system has always worked completely fine for me. And once explained to my guildies it has always worked fine for them. If you run off on your own your dead, no class should be able to take on multiple opponents. If you rush in to a class with lots of stuns on your own, again you will probably die. The resolve system tells you when you wont be CCed (sorry I have NEVER had it not work). This is critical for huttball for example where you can use it to time moves and when you should not run but pass. I see players regally complaining about it after being killed, and they tried to cross the fire with no resolve, or ran into a large group on their own. I disagree that is not fit for purpose, players just don't understand it or think they should not be able to ever be stunned by other players. No effective stuns (WoW system after what 2 stuns?) and stuns are irrelevant on PvP. Maybe they need to balance some of the PvP stuns better. I will say that, but they don't need to change resolve, if you use it well it is vastly beneficial.
  9. You however paint a very bleak picture with few positives. The way the F2P option has been done cant really harm the game as the f2per will have very limited access to endgame. So long as the cartel coin stuff is just cosmetic and utility it will not negatively impact the game. They wont go P2W as that is a recipe for disaster and they will know this, they would have to be idiots to do it as they would make less money that way Other games, notably LOTRO actually did far better after F2P (never played myself so cant comment to much). As a subscriber I cant see this being bad for me and as a guild leader I think its great as if a guildie cant play for a month or 2 due to monetary reasons he is still there to do other stuff with which means he will be more likely to stay engaged. Also if you look at TOR status and the Population trends its still in normal weekly flux, we have had 2 big things happen close together so its up. Keep an eye on it for a while after all this to see what the result is.
  10. An interesting read of a thread. Personally I disagree and enjoy SWTOR with an active guild who play, we have had a reasonable content rate (hell better than wow), maybe not as fast as Bioware wanted but still good IMO. PvP IMO is also good. The WoW PvPers don't like it in the main. Most of my guild now PvP regually (we are a PvE guild) and enjoy the PvP more than any of us did in wow or whatever MMO we came from. Chatting to others I get the same feeling, so they have pitched PvP right as it captures a different group than WoW, I also know a lot of player who went to GW2 who have come back unimpressed with its PvP and no real end game PvE content. I would have to disagree on mine, I have been watching TRE's pop and it has before and since merge on fleet slowly been rising (OK post merge may have been players coming back and ofc you will now have the 1.4 bubble so it is harder to tell atm) There are issues, ofc there are it is to be expected, some could have been dealt with better some worse, what you have to ask is do you enjoy playing SWTOR more than you would X, Y or Z, and I do, the only other game I lay regally atm is DayZ.
  11. Not sure what you expect here, the only option you have left open is straight grinding mobs so ill suggest that (sarcasm here). Sorry dailies once a week and you will have enough creds to repair/respec. Repairs are not expensive and gearing does not involve much in the way of credits unless you want custom gear.
  12. A true PvPers perspective. PvP and PvE make up the game equally. Some players just PvP, some just PvE, most do both to a greater or lesser extent. One without the other leads to bored players (look at GW2 already) who will then look for the next best thing. Having both means you can do more things at end game.
  13. In a geared group it does not matter. Under geared. Commander (frees up the others so they can be tanked) Big guy (pins occasionally) Other one Never ever had an issue with the big one causing massive damage by leaving him even with really under geared groups
  14. Cut Scenes are in the high def graphics are they not? settings for the gear does it change it? EDIT: Just looked in game for what its called. Character texture atlasing. Pop that on high and it should be the same as cut scenes. they added it as players were miffed cut scenes had better graphics.
  15. Telling my guild not to stand in the AOE on Kephiss as he started AOEing me, I was streaming it as well.
  16. This http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=535047
  17. I have been discussing a similar idea with my mates for ages. Make it a legacy perk charge a mill credits (or some cartel coins) or something to reset it all and make it 50. Also possible give 2 options. Normal mode or Hard mode where you need 4 players so you can get a group of 4 players and play through all the class stories at once, and make the hard mode very challenging and reward a special title for completing. This would be a bunch of extra contend for not much work. I would support it in any way however, Great idea, thanks OP! Edit; Sorry missed you post not stealing your ideas
  18. OP That's all it says in any fleet at prime time. Sat on TRE but we have 3 fleets, I would think you server is the same. To check just hit M and above the area map bit you should see how many phases there are. Dunno if that's the case with you but I woudl think it is

  20. But these are still grind, and even worse there grind where you can be unlucky and miss/not find it in time. At least if I have a mission I pick up its always there when I want it.
  21. There is always grinding in one form or another. Dailies are just a way of trying to make it more fun while you do it. Anything you have to do repeatedly is technical a grind. What would be good is far more dailies and to cap how many you can so you can chop and change which ones you do. But this ofc takes time, and tbh I already have 3 planets where I can go do dailies to vary it a bit.
  22. Don't forget if you are just going from stats every class has different modifiers built into there talent trees which will cause slightly different values. Also just because the stats say less does not mean that it will translate over into actual an DPS difference as both classes do damage in different ways and you may also be more comfortable with and so play one class better than the other.
  23. The other reason they ask you to run all the tests is to gather evidence. They may have a fairly good idea whats causing certain issues but, like when I worked for an internet company (Sky BB /shudder), you have to start from scratch to prove that its not everything else before you move on to other stuff. Once they have gathered evidence you can then pass all of that on to get the issues resolved. If you are bolshy and don't help, you are just slowing the entire process down.
  24. Thats odd. Thats pretty much Identical to my machine other than I have a slightly better processor and I have very few issues. It drops a bit in a busy fleet (On the WZ Terminal with ppl spamming abilities). [i know thay are but ill ask in case, drivers all up to date?
