  2. What did you expect, seriously, this forum is as bad as me3's multiplayer forum, it's like people log in here just to be colossal jerks not worth one ounce of bantha poo-doo. I too departed for parts unknown, but for me it was after ME3 released and to be quite honest I felt rather..angry. First the stuff with SWTOR and the unneeded nerfing of conceal Op/scoundrel, then I spend ANOTHER $65 on a Bioware game and get something that in the last 30 minutes entirely divorced itself from the established plot line, barely let me continue my romance with Jack, and ...let's just say I find the multiplayer a hell of a lot better than the actual single player story and leave it at that. I had thought about returning but to be honest I was bored with SWTOR by the end of month two. One level 50 in under the first 30 days, several level thirties by mid second month. I already knew what awaited me at 50, reroll, and to be honest that didn't appeal to me, it wasn't worth paying $14.99 (Plus tax, my monthly sub was $16.36, and it took them 3 weeks of my constant calling for someone to figure out what the hell was going on with my sub fee. I heard every reason in the book, card verification, billing error, "I have no idea what is causing this") for such little content and the rapidly dropping players (I lost 90% of my friends list by February 10th), I couldn't convince myself to stay. So now I'm back, In outer space, in a galaxy far far away, hoping Bioware learned and gets this right. We'll see if I was mistaken in leaving after three months, or if they truly failed to make a game that would hook players. That said, what have they added since march, any new planets, quests, anything other than flashpoints?
  3. Sending the companion that has a +# to crit on that particular gathering skill helps IMMENSELY.
  4. Superman. His only weakness is magic based attacks, since practically every attack in the SW universe is elemental, tech, ranged, or melee, he'd be unstoppable.
  5. Remember back in MMOs where things were challenging enough that you needed a full party just to do most of the quests, let alone explore, yeah those days were awesome.

  7. The one thing the story kills for me is choice of planet to go to. I get we have to do the same starter/core/third progression per each of the four base classes. jedi - tython, trooper/smuggler - ord | sith korriban , bounty hunter/agent - Hutta. Then corusant or dromund kaas. But from that point on, every character you will ever make will follow the SAME planetary progression. Oh sure you can skip one but you WILL go back to that planet or your story stops as you cannot finish chapter 1. Thus the crux of my problem, Choice, I ultimately have none. what choices I pick and what my character says are often wildly different. what my character does never matters what my character wants to do/go to is also taken away from me. I can't just level myself to 40, skip tatooine and alderaan and then pick up from there, no I HAVE to do tatooine and alderaan, and since I've done the paths to 50 on each side it's ultimately just boring. 5% new content per class really isn't a keeper factor for me, and end game, if I wanted to grind for crap to make crap I could have stayed at city of heroes, at least their grinds aren't anywhere near as long, soul crushing, or uninspiring.
  8. First it's last Friday, then Tuesday, and now Thursday, honestly we pay for way more play time than we get at this rate. I'd not care about 4 downtimes a month, hell even 6, but this has gone beyond ridiculous. Add in the fact that some of us are paying $16.36 and are US customers (Keep in mind I only pay $14.99 for every other sub I have, since this sub was agreed to in December then it needs to keep that price) and it's honestly just not worth it, I'll come back when they stabilize down to four to six patches a month. These emergency fixes happen way too often for my taste. And to the poster above, no really it's more than just one, how many downtimes did we have just last month, how about in December? The "Big patch, break something, hot patch, break something else, hot patch that, oh look it's the weekend, we gotta hot patch, oh Tues maint" gets old.
  9. Except all the changes they're doing are based UPON the end game, sorry buddy that argument falls flat, they have not instigated a single change pertaining from 1 - 49, every single change is based around end game and pvp.
  10. I just had to quote you because after reading the entire thread after my post I see nothing but pure BS flying out your mouth and into the screen. Concealment is NOT a pvp only spec. Eviscerate: can only be used against weak and strong enemies. DOES NOT AFFECT ELITE, CHAMPION OR PLAYERS Sleep dart: hey I can use this to sneak through the mission. No sorry Concealment is the close range PVE/PVP spec. Leathality was supposed to be the ranged spec but honestly it's a hot mess and not even worth the stress, Dirty Fighting performs better and it's the mirror's shared tree. Everything about an operative sans medic points out that it's supposed to be a melee range fighting class, even Lethality needs you to be in 4 meter range for shiv to get a tactical advantage, some of the skills are 10 meters, others 30. Compared to sniper who, with leathality, doesn't have to breech the 35 meter range mark. Yeah you keep trying to sell that "Concealment is pvp only" BS, maybe someone will be dumb enough to believe it, then you an sell them a bridge. The REST of us already know the truth.
  11. What I find funny is two weeks ago everyone would have been screaming "Operatives, they're just too OP" and now you hear nothing. Does nobody else find that pathetic, and a bit worrying?
  12. I'm still laughing, honestly either this guy needs gear, learning how to play, or how to run from people higher level than he is. Really if you're level 15 and you smack a level 45, they're going to turn around and see if they can grow humans by planting you six feet under.
  13. Short response, insulting post, you don't play an operative in PvE past level 36 and post 1.1.1.b do you? As for the OP, I've shelved my 50. I'm at valor 20 at level 50 because, while I do find pvp enjoyable, it isn't everything in the game, plus I'm tired of being put up against premade teams. I do not have fun doing dailies anymore, if I advertise "DPS LF HM <flashpoint here> and get invited, the very moment they see I'm concealment then drop me. I've been told "Get a guild", I've been through five, I play on ebon hawk, every single guild I get into typically maybe has five people on at once, maybe four of them are 50 and they're all running OPs with their friends, then they finish up and log an alt, it's ridiculous. So, thus, I find no enjoyment in PvE either, due to soloing everything (and not by choice), it's now taking me longer to even complete the Belsavis dailies, nevermind the Ilum ones where I have to actively avoid all enemies and get to the goal because I'm just not feeling having to spend ten minutes fighting a strong class enemy. Oh and the daily heroics, hah, I still have my heroic 2 for Ilum and my heroic 4 for Belsavis to do, had em for a week, can't find anyone to team with and that IS with LFG or asking in general on fleet. I'm giving this game until march 20th and after that if everything is in the same state, I'm gone.

  15. Yeah see except I have a sabotage gunslinger, I chose concealment op because I liked the sneak in, stab people to death and get out playstyle, unfortunately they nerfed that harshly in PvE. It's much worse for non geared people, I'm not talking PVP either, I could give a frag less about PVP, I'm trying to get gear so I can be viable PvE wise and I'm struggling, whereas I had no issues with my dailies before I acutally get bored now doing them, when ilum dailies take around two hours to do because of my overall reduced damage. Also as of the nerf it is not impossible to drop below the "death field 60 energy range" in fact it happens REGULARLY to non geared operatives, it's taking up to eight rotations to kill a strong, let alone the mobs with the strong. Pre nerf I had no issues with it, I could kill relatively quickly, now on level 43 strongs I run out of energy before the enemy is dead. With adding debiliate to my routine just to get off eviscerate and backstab again that added 15 energy useage on top of 15 more since my HS damage took a hit, a big part of taking down strong or elites WAS that hidden strike with acid blade from stealth. I would regularly see 3k damage on strongs, now I see 1500, literally half of what I used to do, I'm also now not getting invites for Hard Mode FPs, the few teams I DID get invited to thought I was a sniper and booted me after seeing I was an operative, and keep in mind Conceal Ops used to be looked for to burn down bosses. I could deal with the HS nerf if they hadn't pretty much just killed our burst dps in general without giving us suitable sustained. I would love to pvp but honstly getting the crap stomped out of me repeatedly by higher tier geared enemies (repubs in VS and CW, and Imps in Huttball), I just don't find it fun, where it used to be I knew I stood a chance, now if I leap out and stab a BH with 30% hp he just swats me away and laughs, I'm not even talking the HS trick, I never did that to begin with, I always played "Kill the wounded" support type, while picking off stragglers or long ranged fellow medium armor types. Last pvp match a scoundrel and I pratically CQC danced and neither of us could kill the other, everytime I'd get the 5.5 sec stun on him he'd just wait, CC out, and do it to me, and I'd do the same, eventually we just both cloaked and left.
  16. So I have to ask this, are you fully geared out, bags and everything? Seems the people I see saying operatives are fine are the people who were at top tier gear before the nerf, you guys got impacted the least. What the nerf has done has hammered non geared 50's, and almost made it impossible for us to find a HM FP or OPS group because the public perception is our DPS Burst sucks (and it does, and we have no sustained either), why bring a dps conceal op to a HM FP when you can bring a marauder who will GAIN force by attacking instead of dropping sub 60 energy and being useless if stim boost or adrenaline probe are down? Hell as it stands, at 50, It's taking me almost two hours to do Ilum dailes and god knows how long to do Belsavis due to the fact that even with Lokin my DPS suffered so much from the hit that I run out of energy just trying to kill a strong con mob.
  17. Sadly neither, I'm catching up on tv show episodes that I missed. I'm not having fun playing "Solo your characters online", and I will probably leave before march. Starting to wish I hadn't bought the game, I never see anyone in either guild I'm in , repub side or imp side.
  18. Except they designed that class so that's the only thing that it does, Operatives are not designed for drawn out fights, in fact they have an energy regeneration system that penalizes it. I really wish all these whiners would quit bringing up fully geared killing under geared, or pre 1.1 stuff, that's what killed the operative class. Sorcs can ranged, they can melee range KB, they can stun, they can gap close and sprint with a huttball. They can literally pair up and hold a turret by themselves. No I hope they nerf you sorcs, you're all I see in huttball besides BHs. Playing on republic side is worse, you pretty much only see sorcs, bhs, and juggernauts.
  19. I love how they nerfed our burst to keep us into fighting longer, but kept the energy requirements on all abilities the same. Thus resulting us running out of energy about 2x to 2.5x as fast. Guess I better level my juggernaut, at least her viability in pve hasn't been screwed by trying to balance pvp and failing. No seriously, I'm struggling to do 50 dailies toget my gear so I stop sucking so bad, why the hell would a company balance something around max level, max gear, when only a small percentage even have that, it's completely mind boggling...., well no it's not, they have no idea what they're doing.
  20. I can't believe how ignorant this is *Shakes head sadly* It's not 'favorite' attacks buddy, it's ONLY ATTACKS. That's right, the entire core of the operative power and skill tree (BY BIOWARE'S OWN DESIGN) revolves around Stealth, Hidden Strike, Jarring Strike, Backstab, Shiv, Debilitate, Eviscerate (which only works on weak or strongs, not players). That's it, rifle shot misses too often and hits with paltry damage, (like 400, maybe twice out of four shots fired, with 102.3% accuracy rating), there are no buffs for frag grenade in concealment tree, no dots except acid blade. But hey, we got a damage nerf, except they, and this is for emphasis, kept the energy useage requirements the same. That's right all you non operative boys and girls, they dropped the dps and kept the energy useage, only now we have to use 2x as many hits to kill something, oh and don't forget the energy regen mechanic, we get a penalty if we drop below 60% energy. (Which, by the way, is two attacks plus applying acid blade), our stim boost has a 35 second cooldown and is dependent on tactical advantage, and adrenaline probe has a two minute cooldown. So essentially we got screwed for fighting anything our level in PVE, as higher damage was the only thing making the energy costs viable and keeping us alive. I'll give an example. Take a sentinel, keep his skill costs the same, now make his attacks all do half damage as what they used to except for say, Master Strike. That's what they did to operatives.

No but a simple "Oh crap sorry guys we got a little overzealous on that, we'll bring the numbers up to match the others now, or maybe lower your energy use costs to compensate, maybe take a look at your complete lack of sustained damage". Or "Hey we noticed we turned you guys into absolute crap PVE and a mockery in PVP so we're going to nerf the other classes DPS and defense, also tone down the npcs since you guys can't actually solo your dailies without being in all champion gear anymore" Yeah that would about do it.
