How do you guys earn so many? I struggle to earn them. I think while there players maxing out like you guys, there are a lot of returning players like me that dont have anything.

You guys really should be nicer to Eric. The poor guy is just communicating what he's been given to say. It sucks to be in that position. I'm sure he gets players aren't happy with the delay and want the xp bonus to stay. We should leave it at that and let Eric work his magic with his team to help us out. I see this attitude when people are rude to waiters, that's when they're likely to spit in your food. You want this guy on your side, don't be rude.

Not sure what to say then. My Treek is still a beast. She destroys stuff and heals like a champ. We're both very geared though.

You may be feeling the ninja nerf to Presence from the 3.0 patch. Supposedly this was a "fix" not a nerf, but you can feel it unless your companion is really geared well. Keep gearing them up and they're good.

That's not been my experience at all. I'm on Harbinger and it's packed. PUG raids everywhere. There are a ton of old players returning and new ones checking it out thanks to ads/friends. It's going to get nuts when the movies come out too. Great time to be playing this game.

This game is amazing. It keeps getting better and better. I'm no fanboy. I'm critical when it's deserved, but I've been so impressed with what they've done with this game in the past two years. It has a really exciting future over the next few years. With the new Star Wars movies coming soon, this game will continue to grow. Sorry some don't feel the same way.

I lost 60 Presence after the 3.0 patch. Is this an intended nerf or a bug we should report? I didn't see any mention of this in patch notes, developer updates, or other forums. It's not that big of a deal but I put in some decent work to get absolute max Presence (completionist here, sorry) Thanks

Treek and just destroy everything. I personally didn't care for any of the consular companions except Nadia.

Bump... I'm with the last poster... What makes Madness boring or uninteresting? I'm looking to start raiding again and leaning towards madness, but not sure yet either.

I just leveled as Balance and it was super easy. Balance is great with self heals and dps. I did use Treek as my healer, but that's not critical. The one thing I did find important though was keeping my mainhand hilt upgraded every 8 or so levels. I also used an offhand defensive shield and kept that upgraded for extra defense and force power. The rest of my gear didn't really matter. I hope that helps, good luck.

I really think imperial agent was the most interesting story. Jedi Knight was pretty epic, but if you already did a SW you may want a different class to make it interesting. I also liked the with inquisitor story although I know some found it boring. I liked it a lot.

You're going to be glad you're getting basic comms now even though you can't use them quite yet. Having a few hundred comms when you hit 55 really helps get ready for lvl 55 content.

I agree. The guy is so lame. I don't like a single thing about him. Maybe someday I will truly gear the guy out after I'm done with everything else.... With every other character.... My favorite tanks are the strength/melee/heavy armor characters like Khem Val and Bowdaar. These seem the most effective at holding threat with decent survivability. Blizz is the most fun tank companion to me though even though he's not the strongest. He's adorable and I love his missile launcher animations.

A couple of thoughts to consider... Liberal use of crowd control: Mercs have some amazing CC. It always surprises me when I see a merc getting owned by a group of elites with nothing CC'd. I even solo a lot of 4 man heroics if the mobs are droids and you can CC two with concussive + slice droids. Do your own tanking: I find tank companions to be very ineffective and squishy. You can take a pretty good beating with cool downs, interrupts, knock backs, self heals, etc. Run with Mako or Gault: I use Mako for soloing group content and bosses, but I use Gault for everything else. The faster you kill, the less of a beating you take. Sorry if those are a bit self explanatory, honestly that's all I do and I can do pretty much all I want.

I have a lvl 50 Powertech DPS that I would be willing to tank on (I've tanked in many other MMO's) except that I have zero tanking gear and it's a pain to get. You've got to be geared to tank a group finder with questionable pug healers, but you can't get geared until you tank FP's. If I had a ton I credits I could probably get a mediocre tank web going, but I don't. I've talked to a lot of people that are in this situation. Any advice on how to go from DPS gear to adequate tank gear without spending a ton of cash?

On my Powertech I prefer Mako for all specs. On my Mercenary I prefer Gault. As a dps merc, I can off-heal well enough to avoid downtime and kill quickly. Mako is nice for soloing group quests, but I think Gault is the way to go most of the time. For my Powertech that has no self heals, I like Mako to avoid downtime.

I don't understand ungrateful people. I think it's a nice gesture that they totally didn't need to do.

Big points for using a Leopold and His Fiction song!! Not a lot of people even know the band. I saw them 2 years ago and they were great. Very cool video too. I just came back after a long break and am playing a shadow. Thanks for posting this.

Interesting post. So what are people's experiences like with hard mode/nightmare ops tanking? Everyone I hear is telling me Jugg is the way to go for harder difficulty ops tanking. What issues do you guys see? I would think the limited heat mechanic would really limit threat and the "resist" vs "defense" tanking also seems like it could be a limiter.

This is pretty easy, been soloing it for a few weeks now. Just turn off your comp's AOE and CC one of the elites. Interrupting helps but not a big deal if you don't mind healing a bit.

That's a fair point and I agree. If they offered a bit less than the epic gear then you would still grow through some tough times getting really geared, but you would have a chance that way.
