  1. I don't think the "nerf" is a serious issue, but I agree with you here. When I'm healing for a group, I use medpacs to heal myself so that I can concentrate my healing efforts on other party members. When the healer is forced to use their skills on themselves, the group quickly breaks down, and a roughly 50% chance a wipe is imminent. Being able to use another one after 90s was part of my plan. That said, it's not really that big a difference, now instead of popping one early, you wait 'til you're legitimately low, because it's the only one you're getting. The odds that it effects the outcome of the battle are marginal. Not to offend anyone, but if you needed more than one to win a pve battle, odds are you were pushing your luck trying to fight that battle in the first place. There's nothing wrong with that. It's fun to see how far you can push it sometimes, but when you're pushing the edges of your ability, expect to lose sometimes. No shame in that. Shows you had the guts to try something that wasn't easy.
  2. Cut it out with the logic and reason. No one replies to that. You want people to notice what you said, you have to say something unreasonable, preferably completely nuts.
  3. I like your sarcasm and since I was going to post pretty much the same response... I'm just going to quote yours instead. Well, I'll add that ultimatums based on subjective experience are quite laughable...
  4. It's called a money sink, every game where it's easy to make money has them as a way of removing excess money from the economy and prevent insane levels of inflation on the auction house ("exchange" in this game's case). They're not meant to be game breakers, just somewhat handy.
  5. That's easy to explain really. It means they like the game enough to hope it gets better, and they can actually enjoy playing it again. Or they're just trolls However, I'm pretty sure most are the former. I've done it myself in other games. My complaints were never hate, they were "I wish this game was better because it has so much untapped potential."
  6. I'm not sure if it even matters. I've long ago become jaded about the very concept of there ever being that one great MMO that I'll play for years. New games are fun and exciting. Eventually, the fun wears thin, and continuing to play becomes a chore. That's when you decide for yourself just how much Skinner's Box gameplay you can take before you just let it go, and switch to something new where you'll have fun again, at least for a while. There'll always be hangers on, naturally. Star Wars fans alone will probably sustain at least one server, if not two or three, for many years to come. So the game won't go anywhere, but most of us will move on sooner or later.
  7. I thought forum browsing was part of the fun Not only is a little spleen venting good for the soul, it can give you a good laugh when it's someone else doing it. Win win.
  8. I'm a very intense player and quite proud of my high numbers, but that's my thing. I don't expect everyone else to be, and frankly I don't mind carrying the PUG if we still win in the end. If you want to play strictly with other "numbers are all that matter" sociopaths I recommend joining a guild of like minded people. There are plenty of them. If you're in a PUG you take what you get, and you work with it. Nothing in this game is so hard that one good player can't make up for 3 casuals, as long as they're doing something. If you can't... you're probably not as good as you think, and frankly high dps doesn't always imply a winning strategy.
  9. I'll keep my sub because the game I've really been waiting for hasn't come out yet. Got to do something until then.
  10. I'll admit that back on WoW I used to enjoy baiting gankers. Why'd I enjoy it? Same reason gankers do I guess, haha, except one step up. The only thing more fun than beating a equally equipped enemy through superior skill is to kill someone who attacked you first thinking you'd be easy
  11. Enlighten us then, because I see no other reason than "I suck too much to fight people my own level" as rationale for forcing pvp on and killing someone half your level on a PvE server.
  12. Hm, I always saw it the other way around, since being a "Gamer" is the point. Still, funny. Oh and to whoever it was who accused me of being condescending, sorry, I'm mildly autistic, and honestly have no idea how people are going to interpret the things I say. I mean only to be informative. One thing I have noticed, and I admit it sometimes makes me a wee bit jealous, that guys who play girls seem to get more attention than I do It seems ironic to me that males playing female characters are perceived as more "feminine" than the real thing. I never call attention to my gender, if people refer to me with the male pronouns I do not correct them, but come on, everyone wants a little attention... don't they? Haha... I dunno. I just know people tend to assume I'm a male because I don't have an overtly "feminine" personality.
  13. Kinda occurs to me also. People who lack free time but have been paying their sub since the beginning actually deserve it more, if you think about it. They're money spent to time played ratio is the lowest of all, yet they're still paying. I'm eligible for the free month so, I'm not arguing for myself, just saying. The $15 really doesn't matter at all, not to me anyway. I won't quibble over $15, it's just the sense of being left out when you've been just as "loyal" as anyone else. I think they should've really thought through this promotion before announcing it, and if they didn't want to give it to everyone that's been active from the start... they shouldn't have done it at all. Just give everyone some lame in-game item that does nothing useful instead
  14. I think your hat is safe for many years to come.
