  1. We are the Helios Titans. Renewed and Motivated, Thank you for the visit! Website-HELIOS First I would like to thank you for visiting our page, a community wouldn't be complete without those wishing to take part of it. Helios was assembled around the time SWTOR first launched a few years ago. The guild was comprised of passionate and gifted players who demonstrated a deep understanding to the value of teamwork. As time went by many within the guild moved on for military assignments and general disappointment in the end game content. However, key leadership has remained in contact with each other for years and have finally decided to revive the guild to take on SWTOR once again, especially under the consideration of the slew of additional content that has been and will be added in the foreseeable future. Since we are a new guild our recruiting process is simple: Communication and Invitation. What that entails is that through a point of contact dialog will begin with a prospect. This process can take place in game, website, and/or voice chat. For the time being there is no application, just a brief interview and an in-game invite. To clarify, to be a member you will not be forced to participate in any of the games content. A major point in MMOs is to have fun and play how you want, so we will NOT be dictating how you shall go about doing that. With that being said we do have rules that we expect every member to follow: Rule #1: Activity. There will be NO required meetings or mandatory time spent in game. However, we expect you to actually play the game, unless under specified circumstances that will require a leave of absence. If you have not logged into the game for weeks at a time without a LOA, you will be let go. Rule #2: Be courteous and professional. To keep in mind the image of our members and the guild itself it is crucial that we treat those within and outside the guild with respect. This includes the omission of foul language in public chat, not interrupting or trolling Roleplaying sessions (regardless of if you are a RPer or not), and conducting yourself professionally during events or public instances. Helios Company There is no glory in war. The tragedy surmounts the magnificence of any single act demonstrated by a soldier in theatre. There is victory, however. The bitter taste that warfare leaves in the mouth of a combatant can only be washed away by the sweet taste of victory. Helios company was crushed, a broken pulp that nearly was scrambled into the air like ashes in the wind. The first years of the war had taken its toll on Helios, as their numbers dwindled to the single digits. The remaining soldiers packed their gear, ready to be relieved of duty.. The stress of losing a brother/sister in arms made it difficult to continue on in battle. Their resolve was shaken.. Until new leadership was assigned to rebuild, the combat experience the remaining few possessed was too great to lose. It's your time to lead us to victory... Jedi- Your connection to the force is far to valuable overlook. While the council decides inaction, you can make a difference in the war to bring balance to the force. Within the Company a platoon will be established responsible for all affairs pertaining to your order. Masters, Knights, and padawans, the heirarchy remains with Helios. The MIC or otherwise known as the "Master in Charge" is Nic Beirland. Through his guidance victory on the battlefield victory is certain. Trooper- The heart of the company, through your execution of the mission you will determine the success of Helios. Your assignment to this unit is important, so maintaining your arms and equipment along with your body is integral. With the addition of Combat Medics and the assaulting element Helios will become impenetrable, the precious lives in the Republic are counting on it. The Company Commander is Raylen Lionheart. Through his guidance the mission will be a success. Smuggler- LEADERSHIP REQUIRED... NOW HIRING What is Helios? Helios is a Republic guild that encourages high level play, yet believes that having fun is the most important part of enjoying the game. We want to build a strong reputation on Ebon Hawk through our productivity, efficiency, and professionalism. Establishing a healthy and friendly community is key to developing a strong foundation that will last for years to come. We have a 200+ mumble server available for those who wish to communicate for raids, rp, or even to socialize. We will not tolerate racism, disrespectful language or behavior, sexism, or any derogatory actions by our members. We accept all ages but have no tolerance for any of these offenses, regardless of age. You are not required to roleplay in Helios, however it is required to respect those who wish to do so. For more information or to join our guild contact Nic, Yvean, Faedil, or Ráylen. May the force be with you!
  2. This isn't surprisingly, nor is it necessarily a bad thing. The ship should definitely be something that takes time and collective work from the guild to upgrade.
  3. I think some people are missing the point of this thread, or I might be missing the argument. Whichever. I believe what the topic poster is saying is that After the recent patch the Battlemaster commendation RNG seems to be "off", and if that is the case I 100% agree. Personally, I got all three commendations prior to the patch that was launched, and the chances seemed to be a good 1/4 so it wasn't an issue. Now, I've gone 0/22 BM bags and still nothing but CHAMPION commendation, and frankly it is demoralizing. Look, I can appreciate a decent grind to obtain the better items in a game, after all, an MMO is a marathon, you should have to put in some work to achieve the best items. However, when a system becomes so unstable/broken that it is detrimental to the players experience then there is a serious issue. I am paying $15 a month to not only support a company I have much faith in, I'm doing it to enjoy this game and ultimately have fun. Consecutively opening 22 bags without reaping any adequate benefit (Champion Comms are useless when you grind to valor 60) is NOT fun to me. FUN is why I play games and grinding out dailies warzones (which STILL have a chance of not registering a win) and trying to PvP on a broken PvP planet is not the kind of grind I consider worth. Especially when I am paying my hard earned money to come to a game that is suppose to be alleviating the stress I accumulate throughout my tough days RL.
