  1. Congratulations to Ard'el Holylight, Ludwig VanCover, and Karander Shinemoon on winning the election for our most recent High Council seats. A very big thank you to Andreafawcett Galaxis who ran a very tight race and came very close to victory.
  2. See the Galaxy. Shoot First. Save the Republic. Be a Hero. PSST! Yea. You. Just listen. Are you the type that can make a quick getaway? Is your hunk of junk ship faster than she looks and got it where it counts? You the type who usually finds themselves shooting on the run, firing fast, and looking for the head shot... if not somewhere a little... less discrete? Looking to earn some credits while working for a good cause? Because we need you up there, kid. Join The Army of Light ~ See the Galaxy. ~ Shoot first. ~ Save the Republic. ~ Be a Hero.
  3. )|\|[ Fight the Good Fight ]|/|( * Enlist in The Army of Light today. * As the Jedi Order and Republic Senate do nothing but preserve the farce of the crumbling Treaty of Coruscant, we have been preparing to defend civilization and freedom itself from Dark Side Imperialism. * ~.Courage.~ ~.Honor.~ ~.Commitment.~ * The time is always right to do what is right. * The time is right now. * Will you Join us to Fight the Good Fight?
  4. How about you stop with the nonsense and spend your time actually working on the game? After all, every 5 year old knows that he can't go out and play until his WORK is done. The money spent on this could have went towards reducing continued staff cuts or even hiring some CS that a) cares about their jobs (but minimum wage will do that to a person) and b) actually has played the game (so they can understand and thus help us better). When all bugs are removed, people's computers and graphics cards stop crashing since 1.4, and maybe one or two of the threads in the Suggestion Box actually have a BW employee's name on there showing it was read, THEN you can waste time with gimmicks and half-*$$ed "good will" tours.
  5. This idea would play off systems similar to what other games have in which a guild itself can "level up" either through the shared experience/level gains of its members, through achievements, etc. I'm sure a fair and balanced criteria could be laid out for TOR that would work. The Legacy Level could have practical impacts on things such as Guild Halls/Ships, Colors/Tabards, etc. if and when we ever get those sorts of things. But more to the idea I had in mind, Guild Legacy Level could affect a "guild talisman" (for lack of a better term). This would be a piece of gear that might provide some sort of stat bonus to individuals of a guild based on what their guild's Legacy Level was. To keep small guilds competitive with large guilds, Levels could be earned through accomplishment rather than sheer size. The stat perk doesn't have to be so high so as to give large unfair advantages or break the game, but could be similar to those granted when you unlock a companion's finished quest/conversational line on your individual legacy. This was just something I thought of to give guild membership some sort of BW-provided meaning rather than only the meaning the members give it themselves. This game is woefully lacking on guild content, perks, resources, etc. and something like this would be a nice step in the right direction. Thanks for listening.
  6. There's been about zero chatter on anything concrete for guilds at all. The last (and only) add on was back during 1.2 when guild banks were added (which admittedly should have been a basic feature available from go). Can we get someone official to throw a bone here?
  7. +1 to this idea. Especially with the overwhelming lack of guild features and resources, an in-game calendar would be a great source of convenience. Right now, all we have is the Guild MotD which is severely limited since the maximum characters allowable are severely limited.
  8. There are times when I report a malfunction or bug in game and receive back the reply from CS of "this is working as intended". I'm sure I'm not alone in reading that and thinking either, "Um, no... its not." or "If that's as intended, it really needs to be improved." Normally with this type of CS reply, there's a line about them strongly suggesting you post your idea for how something could work differently here in the Suggestion Box if you truly feel something isn't as good as it should be. The way they say it almost comes off as defensive and snarky even. So, its a real bummer that when you do post something here it seems like shouting in a void to nowhere.
  9. I love the idea of an Episode 1 style robe (and associated gear) that is Adapative. Currently (in my opinion), there are some robes that are close such as the Battle Expulsor robe (which, ironically, is a HEAVY armor) but even they aren't quite up to the traditional Jedi robe. And poor Consulars (who, lore wise you would expect to have the MOST Jedi-looking robes) must settle for hooded bathrobes with strange colored lines running through them (or those ugly shoulder pads). A proper and basic Jedi robe is a series of tunics (under tunic covered by an over tunic (similar to some basic marital arts uniforms)) largely encompassed by a thick, oversized, fully flowing hooded Jedi robe. Surely at least someone at BW has actually watched a Star Wars movie, right? And, extra emphasis on the "oversized" part -- so much extra material that a person could literally hide themselves and a friend inside: http://www.thegreenhead.com/imgs/star-wars-obi-wan-kenobi-jedi-cloak-3.jpg Robes should be available in all reasonable colors -- including all black versions available to Light Side, Republic Jedi. (Luke Skywalker was in many ways the Jedi and he preferred the all black look -- so let's not keep this color scheme only with the Sith, BW.) I'll stop this line of thought here lest I diverge into a tirade about why oh why this game doesn't provide the very simple mechanic of gear dyes... And as a note: the belt doesn't go OUTSIDE of the robe -- you didn't just get out of the shower, you know. The belt goes around the midsection to tie the tunics together. And, THAT'S where the lightsaber clips on to the character instead of magically being pasted to the outside of the robe/jacket. (And the fact that only a fraction of it shows and the rest is lost in poor graphical clipping only helps to make the game look unpolished.) I don't want to hear "its a war so Jedi should be wearing armor, blah blah blah". Its nonsense: "I wear my robe so that I am warm; I carry my lightsaber so that I am safe; and I keep enough credits for my next meal, so that I am not hungry. If the Force wants me to have more, it finds a way of letting me know." ―Kagoro (Notice there's no mention of trooper style armoring or turtle shell shoulder pads.) In the movies (let's ignore the pedo-buck solicitation that are the Clone Wars cartoons) how often did you see Jedi wear anything besides their robes even in a wide variety of battlefield scenarios? Side note: Jedi robes come with pants. PANTS. Got that, BW? PANTS. So, let's ditch the idea that the lower "robe" has to be a skirt just because you couldn't figure out how to make the upper robe look "flowy" enough. So BW, please -- let Jedi look like Jedi.
  10. In Beta, there was an exchange system in place for the World Commendations at a 2:1 rate. So, if you had 20 leftover Coruscant Commendations, for example, when you got to Taris you could exchange them for 10 Taris ones. Now, I'm not saying that 2:1 is the correct ratio. However, players should be able to do something constructive with their Tionese and Columi Commendations. An exchange system for Tionese to Columi, Columi to Black Hole would be great. (With the extreme high cost of Dread Guard implants, a means of acquiring extra Black Hole Commendations would be warmly received.) Or, at the very least, at least make credit boxes available that are equal to or greater than the value of simply buying excess gear for the purpose of vendoring it right away.
  11. 1) Yes or No to Cathar being the new race? No (Yes, overall, but not the very next species we'll see.) 2) If Yes, why? If No, why not? There are other species that are much more ingrained and fundamental to the Star Wars universe that should have 'first dibs' to being the next one that is playable. The only reason they were picked is because the first KotOR had the Cathar, Juhani. 3) If Yes, Species you would also like to see, if any? If No, Species you would rather see, if any? Barabel, Bith, Bothan, Duros, Ithorian, Kel Dor, Mon Calamari, Quarren, Rodian, Sullustan, Togruta, and Wookie are all severely prominent races that should be represented. And as a side note: Cyborg is NOT a species. 4) Do you feel Cathar are too Republic aligned to fit well as a section for the Empire? Yes. 5) Do you feel Cathar like most already implemented species resemble humans too greatly? Yes. 6) Addition Pro/Cons towards or against Cathar? I'm not opposed to Cathar being added, but all the other species I mentioned deserve higher billing due to their importance in Star Wars lore.
  12. At least the event is comped so that everyday players who would need to miss work or school could attend without majorly sacrificing to improve BioWare's product and thus their profit line. Oh wait... Well, at least they're giving the invitees plenty of time to get reasonable deals on airfare and lodging. Oh wait...
