  1. I looked at the Cathar via the recustomization thing on the fleet... and holy crap do they look stupid. I couldn't find a single head (male) that I thought didn't look utterly out of place and ugly.
  2. I didn't really understand how this whole dye thing was going to work and now I'm just super let down... this is yet another step down for this game.
  3. Let me start off by saying that before they add any new species' (especially exotic ones), how about they fix the ones they already have, mainly Twi'leks. Change the way headgear and hoods work for them? Anyways: 1) Ithorian 2) Mon Calamari 3) Duros
  4. I haven't decided what I'm going to change yet... might change my Inquisitor from a human to a Sith. On a side note, does anyone know if you can change to sex of your character? One of my mains is a Consular and I can't stand how the male voice sounds >.>
  5. Just a quick question. I am wanting to make a Sith Warrior, and the character I made has a beard (specifically the chin portion of the first beard set). I just want to know how it will affect him wearing a rebreather and if the beard will clip through or essentially cancel out the beard. I know a while back there was an issue with the tentacles on the Purebloods clipping through rebreathers. Thanks in advance for the information.
  6. You're forgetting that a Commando, who uses a cannon, uses his OFF hand to throw grenades, summon medical probes, ect. so your point is invalid. As for the OP's idea, I support it completely. There is no reason for this to not be capable in the game. Yes, a Juggernaut would be able to wield dual lightsabers in tank spec, but they wouldn't be effective because lightsabers lack shields. This is a very good idea and I hope to see it in the future.
  7. Last I checked... any game, book, movie, television show, that has the official stamp from LucasArts, is canon. The Vong, whether you like it or not, are canon. Stupid, yes, but still canon.
  8. I'd probably have to say Tatooine, myself. It's distant and isolated, just the way I like it. If they'd let me, I'd go live on Kashyyk with the Wookies.
  9. Oh no! I'm going to be sleeping on the couch tonight!!! Sorry didn't mean to derail but there are really a lot of reasons I still play, those were just the first main five to come to mind.
  10. 1) I'm a Star Wars fan boy. Yes, I admit it. 2) The story telling is amazing. I look forward to leveling up all eight classes. 3) I rather enjoy the cartoony-ish graphic style. 4) WoW was getting old and have yet to find a fantasy MMO to replace it, maybe FFXIV Reborn? 5) My wife plays the game as well.
  11. To quote a lot of people: "This is the final straw!" You said that uhmm... how many times now? Going free-to-play? The Cartel Market? The holiday items?
  12. This does sounds like a good idea. Sadly, when Makeb was announced how ever many months ago, the game was in a completely different state. They have to adjust to their surroundings, which is a free-to-play game. I don't have an issue paying for it because it really isn't that much.
  13. This basically. I was very excited for it, then they "Mass Effected" it instead of keeping with the engine they BUILT for Dragon Age. EAwares gimic is the use of the dialogue wheel.
  14. No no. Not Bioware. Bioware has been dead to me since the catastrophe of Dragon Age II. This company is EAware.
  15. It sounds to me that people expect this to be like WoW, where everything is explorable. Only issue is that WoW is ONE planet and they are able to connect all their zones together. Star Wars in general cannot do that unless you only want one planet. They have to work with what they have. To create massive maps for each planet with the way SWTOR is designed just wouldn't work well IMO. Now I do agree that little things bug me. Like how there really are walls on Taris, you can't walk on mountains, ect.
  16. I would probably say Taris, only because it felt way too long.
  17. I'm in the process of reading the books after ROTJ, and a lot of them are amazing. The entire Heir to the Empire trilogy was awesome, and if they made a literal Episode VII, this would have to be it. The New Jedi Order saga was also really good overall, though some parts are dry. Vector Prime is by far the best post-ROTJ book out there IMO.
  18. Most likely yes, it is a literal Episode VII, but as far as another movie goes that's all we heard. Did they mean an actual Episode VII? Or just a seventh movie and worded it that way for hype? Only time will tell. Regardless, I'm very curious to see what direction Disney takes it. They could continue the kiddy and cartoony tone of the Clone Wars, or take it back into a darker and gritter direction like the originals. A Star Wars film with a tone of the first Pirates of the Caribbean, I'd like to see.
  19. First off, you're spelling and grammar is horrible. Second, no. Just no. There is too much lore already set in place for Star Wars to just "start over". They can't pull what Star Trek did, because the new Star Trek fit. If anything, they need to just leave them alone and start somewhere else in the timeline. The Old Republic era wouldn't be a terrible place to start. I would be happy to see movies based around the earlier years where they can visually depict villains such as Naga Sadow and Maga Ragnos. What I REALLY think they should do, is make movies during the time of Tulak Hord. This would also allow them to tie in Khem Val, which would be awesome. Seeing Khem Val on screen destroying Jedi and devouring them? I'm in.
  20. Am I the only one who didn't care for the companion system? It is extremely helpful when it comes to fighting difficult enemies, but I feel like they're a crutch. Playing a character like a Sith Warrior where you're suppose to be a total bad***, you'd think you would be able to destroy a group of enemies by yourself :\
  21. I've never been a fan of the F2P model as a whole. Can't say I've enjoyed any previous F2P MMOs before, but that won't stop me from giving it a shot. I still play WoW, because I love the lore behind it and am a huge fantasy dork.
  22. Hello all. I'm returning after a very long time away (I left a month after release). I left for various reasons, mostly little things that just added up. I always intended to return to see how things were going and if things had gotten any better. What is the state of the game right now? I keep hearing about the game going F2P.... can't say I'm pleased about that one. Other than that, are there any other major changes they made?
  23. I use to love WoW because I enjoy fantasy stuff like dragons and magic, but WoW became TOO focused on end game and less on getting there. That's why I love SWTOR so much. I'm actually enjoying getting to level 50.
