My thoughts exactly. Really weird that this is a make-or-break for someone.

I’ve had this happen to me a few times over the years and calling support did nothing. They threw it back on me even though the problem is 100% on SWTOR’s end. The way I got around it was using PayPal. After I made a purchase through that, I could start using my card again.

Just wanted to clarify that I’m not bitter! I’m happy for them and I wasn’t even in the running for Oricon (I was a finalist for Belsavis which I definitely lost fair and square.) I just wanted to know if that’s how they pick between screen shots that are so similar. Thank you! I’m going to check the date of when I submitted mine. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bitter or jealous. I’m genuinely curious since Jackie mentioned it.

Pretty sure we were standing in the exact same spot but yours has a slightly different angle. Jackie mentioned the importance of submitting early so I was curious if you sent yours in first.

I was making a joke that I figured at least a few people would get 😝 On the WoW forums, green text denoted "Most Valuable Posters", which was a program Blizzard started along time ago. It was supposed to mean that poster was chosen by Blizzard to be a voice of wisdom when it came to the game. However, a lot of them turned out to be jerks/trolls.

It's a bit unfair that the Imp characters can complete the Mek-Sha portion of the Nightlife quest/daily without encountering a single hostile level 75 mob and the Pubs have to run through a swarm of them. EA or Broadsword, maybe consider moving the quest NPCs for the Pubs? Please? (p.s. this does not personally effect me because all 16 of my characters are level 80 and can stealth but it definitely effected the low level Pub I just seen get eliminated)

Dude this is a nitpick to avoid the point and yes it is F2P. I have no idea what you're trying to say here but it seems like you're avoiding the point again. Other games can have a RNG that doesn't offer you names already taken. Why can't this one?

I believe there is two problems: 1.) Used names being in the RNG. If the name is taken, it shouldn’t be there. 2.) Protecting character names on dead accounts. Like I pointed out before, this is a F2P game. People will try it, decide it’s not for them, then never play again. Those people shouldn’t be able to hold a name indefinitely. I see nothing wrong with periodically releasing names, even if it’s a once a 4 year thing.

I don’t understand what you mean. Wasn’t the name release they did years ago was based on whether or not you logged on? So why would a FTP lose it to a sub if they’re actively logging on their characters? Someone linked the post on the first page. What’s wrong with just doing that again?

No, not good names, ANY names. I’m not picky. As long as it doesn’t have special characters, spaces or a double name, I’m good with it. But every name I try to get a name from the RNG says “taken.” I don’t know why SWTOR is even set up this way. If the name is taken, it shouldn’t be in the RNG.

I don’t know if this is a reading comprehension on your end or what but I said twice this isn’t about that perfect name that I can’t get. I have all single word names too but it usually takes me a while to get them because so much is taken. And I’m not sure why you’re avoiding the point. Is it just for the sake of arguing or what? You still haven’t answer my question on why we want to protect the accounts of people that are more likely than not never coming back to SWTOR.

I don’t want two names and I’m sure there’s many other people that don’t either. Again, this isn’t about getting that perfect name that I’ve been searching for for years, this is about freeing names so you don’t have to use two rng names smashed together, special characters or gibberish. Sine this game is F2P, the chances of someone trying the game out, saying “nah this isn’t for me”, then never stepping foot back into SWTOR is really high. There is zero reason to protect their characters.

It’s not a problem. - Don’t take them from a sub, regardless of how long they have held onto the name. - Don’t take from anyone that actively logs on. Set a time frame, just using this timeframe as an example, 4 years, then send out emails. It’s really that simple. And this isn’t about getting that one name I wanted so bad, this is about the fact we can’t even use the random name generator. I can’t even tell you the last time I got a name from the RNG that I could use. It’s ridiculous.

Oh I did and they asked me which vendor I bought this item from. Very frustrating. I posted pictures here because I couldn't post them in my ticket then linked my thread. I'm hoping they actually figure out what I'm talking about now.

I purchased this flair semi recently and put it on my Jedi Shadow Yaloti on Star Forge. She's currently using it and it's listed under "Character Flair". During the collections sale, made it account wide but now it's showing as uncollected. Would appreciate any help with this.

I’m pretty sure nobody is asking to take name from a sub so there’s no reason to spaz out like you’re 5.
