1. Lol, i am not undermining a defensive positon, however when it is clear they are not playing the game, and collecting free XP and loosing the match for the team.. Then it needs to be addressed, defend all you want when you have 2/3 points, if you have 1/3 points and standing at a flag for 15 minutes with no activity, you are AFK botting.. End of Story Again you are clearly misunderstanding the point that the players were even told to move out by his leader and refused to help where needed... Ranting back they are getting huge points and winning the game... I am clearly saying defend all you want.. REMOVE the defensive objective scoring and the free XP for idling in a instance doing nothing and this behavior ends... Or design it so these nobodies get NO VALOR and not in more advanced instances, where competition lies
2. The problem why this needs to be addressed sir is that it is catching on.... And soon all lame kids will be doing it... right now in the past 2 days it has grown to about 50% of all matches.. tomorrow it will be 60% and so on and so on.... The aldaraan game has become pointless and should be deactivated until addressed... I have seen guilds who are on both sides, do this so their other side wins as well... while they collect good xp too for defending "nothing"
3. Defending a map point for 15-20 minutes not being attacked = AFK botting, stat padding for free XP, guaranteeing a loss for the 5-6 people who unfortunately got stuck with this/these players. There was 2-3 players here when this game started that did nothing the entire map... and the entire map we had only this flag out of the 3, look at the score. They ridiculed my chat telling them to leave the area, as I knew what they were doing with sexual harassment replies... I was the squad leader, and unfortunately you missed the players earlier in the round, who were called out by me the leader, to leave the flag, them telling me to "eat a dick", telling me that I dunno how to play. They also (again review the chat) knew they were there collecting free XP. While i watch the entire team get slaughtered on the other two flags, they sat here eating their milk and cookies. Seriously, all you can do is come here troll a person who clearly see's a problem with this map and is trying to fix it? You sir, are a real treat to this pathetic community...
4. It's true what ops says, "if you are good" his valor is low so he is playing probably others that dunno much about pvp yet... the aoe's get really good dmg at these lower levels as his stats are maxed... as he levels it will drop massively, and he'll re-roll but itll be his ignorance and lack of gear later on, which becomes the challenge.... also the AOE's later on are very difficult to score and dont come as often..... heat also becomes a much more significant problem to deal with as you level up 22+
5. Well, this problem has been growing last 2 days... In "The Battle For Alderaan PVP Instance" the defensive objective points for this one is becoming a serious problem. Now we have players just camping an UN-atacked turrets and standing there all game in 1-3 groups simply because they get tons of these points and look like heros the whole game... The team is losing 2 outta 3 turrets, So the enemy team never attacks here. Meanwhile the poor team is now fighting 5-6 on 8 on two turrets, very little chance to capture a point.. Why? Because this gives the lame "cheating" (this is cheating in my book) players 10,000 - 15,000 objective points for doing absolutely nothing. They get about 10-15k exp for doing nothing, and get all the MVP votes to the ignorant players that don't notice the truth that they are actually hurting their team. The end result is that the team with these players is getting their time completely wasted. Dev's need to come in here and change up the instance to stop this from happening, for now they should completely deactivate it. Video Below shows the end of a round where I caught these lame kids doing nothing the whole round... External Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fciGW5u_In8
6. I understand your point, but in this case, i believe the tactic is being used as intended and a great strategy move.. You have the ability to counter this.. with a quick pass to another player up top Remember, its a TEAM GAME
7. Thinking about CC more, i think more than a, break root on attack or ignore roots if rooted.. it can be set to XXXX damage.. So if user is getting healed.. he can break after taking xx dmg and still be effective in combat and not feel like a useless being. That would also add strategy to attackers, knowing a root will last xx dmg and thus be a skill change not a game factor change... Not sure i explained that right but I think the smart people can catch my drift...
8. Agree with most OP points. However, debating myself... There is ignorance still in ourselves. Learning the system over more time will help before bad decisions by development are made... We barely know our characters, limits, lag effects, and what exactly is happening during the PvP battles, what might appear as this and that may very well be from doing THAT and THIS... Regardless, there is a fluidity problem that needs help and I am sure they are working on improving it... As far as cc goes, I do agree, cc is a issue.. What''s amazing is we learned back in Ultima Online how CC and getting crushed while being rooted is a very demoralizing game factor and a game breaker... Rooting is fine, but any major attacks on a rooted user must break the root, and if other players attack roots, then so be it.. That's a situation of skill... Dieing with no ability to even cast one command is a game breaker for most... Especially with the lore of a Sith Warrior Jedi Knight... to go down in a fight with no recourse... makes no logical sense in this game. I am saddened to see it used so much in TOR.. Did these developers just get off the gaming school bus? Other notes... I am also saddened by the force blast, which is the equivalent of the waaagh, in WAR, which i guess the development team from them brought over.. another truly disappointing feature going to be abused in the near to soon future.... Just wait till you go on the bridge in the door bomb scenario.. all the cloakers now stand on the bridge and blap.. off you go into the darkness, from something you could not even see.. Punting people into lava was one of the reasons I quit playing WAR, other than the extremely boring questing (solo shaman from day one) Getting back on topic... Most all who play Hutball, who have gotten the ball, can agree, that passing the ball when getting pounded on is a problem, as there is literally no feeling of being able to complete any action... Which again can be ignorance.. lets find out if it is us, or if its indeed the game fluidity.. If we press PASS BALL, and get attacked, does that break the AOE cursor on the field of play? Or perhaps is there just a bit of lag, and we are pressing it twice, thus queuing or screwing up the PASS BALL, by jamming buttons, seems there is little time before CC, gang ***** to know for sure, time will tell.. Lets step back and sacrifice a few games to learn if it is our actions or the game servers problems in regards to passing the ball... Good Luck fellows.. Regardless, I am here for the long haul and I'm sure it will improve in the times ahead... Enjoy!
