  1. So I played in my first level 50 WZs last night with my sniper, and from reading here, I was expecting to get instantly killed, and make no progress. I bought some recruit gear, and one BM armor. In hindsight, I perhaps should have gone with the BM weapon, instead of leg armor. It came out about 50-50 in win-loss ratio. Granted I did not play against the pre-mades that were running earlier. It played out fairly similar to every 10-49 WZ I played. I did not even queue for WZs at 50 because of what I read here. It's not that bad.
  2. So you are upset because the dance looks too 'dorky'?

I'm more interested in what you have to say about the speeder. Please explode while giving more details because I haven't heard anything on that.

Also, I have been completely ignoring the legacy junk. It's worthless from my point of view.

  3. So is it just the PvP at level 50 that's a let down? If I was only going to do PvE would you recommend a Sniper?

I don't really do much at level 50, but start another alt. So don't go by me :)

As far as PvE goes, definitely play at least one imperial agent for the story, whether it's operative or sniper doesn't really matter. PvE plays a lot like a single target wizard class. By that I mean you are ranged, and you go through a rotation to maximize DPS. You also have some skills for CC, and a knockback to help keep melee off of you.

I PvP'ed a lot with the sniper while leveling, and some nights you get left alone and tear people apart, and other nights people remember you like you kicked the dog, and ate the last batch of cookies.

  4. I have a level 50 sniper, and I think there could be two issues that cause many people to leave. #1, not much AE worth using beside grenade and at level 48, Orbital strike. So you have to kill everything 1 by 1 for the most part. #2, the static nature of positioning in PvP. So if the other team decides to focus on you with 2 or 3 players, you don't have too many options at hand, unless your cool downs are available. If you are left alone, then you can be a wrecking ball. After you kill people a3 or 4 times in WZ, they start to pay attention to you heh.

But having to kill stuff 1 by 1 in PvE can be real trying on the patience, and in the 40s, things get real monotonous as you go through the same rotation. The only thing that kept me going was the story.

  5. Off topic but sometimes in Huttball the air vents have thrown me through the ramps and there is no way to get out other than /stuck. That may work in this case.

Oh thanks for the suggestion. I completely forgot about /stuck

  6. This happened again to me last night. I think Force push is the trigger for it where you end up flopping like a fish on the deck. Is there a bug report forum?
  7. For me sound doesn't matter near as much as the neatly aligned near-sighted static groups of mobs all over the place. I would reduce the number of mob placements, increase aggro range, and make fewer static placements for more roving patrols. Also, add more non-combatant NPCs.

The problem as I see it is that there is no real sense of a real world. You know you can fight this mob group 20 feet away from the other one with no problems, or little worry about a patrol.

  8. But it's not a PvP area. I was flagged at the event vendor while doing nothing. I think someone exploded, and my companion used some AE skill in reaction to that, which got me flagged. After getting insta-killed, I went to the med center, and queued for a WZ. No waiting or worrying about being flagged. I also put the companion away while near flagged players.
  9. It is like going out solo against Michael Jordan and his team in their prime, as the fat kid from Chucky Cheese and being upset when your 4ft nothing *** can't reach the hoop.

At the very least, you need a lot of other fat kids to work together, so you can sit on eachother to reach the hoop.

Why all the fat kid hate? I think they proved you could pick any 5 people on earth, and still lose.
