  1. mostly because I"ve read a guild leader already tell his people..."oh man, this stuff is coming and guess what? If you don't step up your dps, you are no longer with us". How does that sound? I don't care if you don't "coat the cake with icing", the problem is, is the attitude behind it. I don't want some guild leader coming down to tell me "oh man, you suxors and you are just kicked out of the guild". Don't tell me that people aren't going to do that. They will, and then they judge a book by it's cover. It's completely retarded and all this stuff does is provoke it to no extent. I want an enjoyable game. Not a game that I have to work hard for just to get nowhere.
  2. I personally do not wish to have combat logs. I've lived without em this whole time, and I like it, alot. But that's just me, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
  3. So tell me then, why are we whining about it? Why not just let it go? That's what I just don't get. People are so against it and it's like they don't want it to happen. Who cares? They are there to chat about a game, have a good time with some people. Should I not come to your party when you throw one? should your friends not come to your party when you throw one, because other people are against it? What really is the big deal here?
  4. and no one has given it any much thought that they might want to actually meet some of their player base. All I hear is whining. What other company does that for it's players? Do I hear any? Nope. Ok then. Good lord. What is wrong with meeting some people, having a good time doing it all the while, chatting about the game? They will and have been listening to the forums. How about something different? Why do you have to criticize every move a company does? Is this what is wrong with the world now? They have to scrutinze a move by a good company, just cause you can? That's what I thought.
  5. It's because these type of remarks is what they are trying to avoid. you all say "fix the game", but doesn't give time to "fix the game". So you keep whining that "why isn't this fixed NOW?". They said more guild features are on their way, they said customizable UI are on their way, they have already told you all this and everyone continues to whine why they aren't in the game NOW. Really....are you and everyone else a bunch of whining idiots? Or do you need to go back to school to learn how to read and research before QQing?
  6. Agreed, it can be very game breaking. I'm starting to see this as well. I have a few quests that I can't abandon. I think we should start this as a bug thread and start naming quests that we cannot abandon, and see if bioware can track the bug, so they can finally fix it. I don't agree that it can't be game breaking, if someone doesn't agree. If I chose to abandon in the middle of a quest, then that should be my choice. If it ends up in my log the whole time, and I forgot about it, I should be able to abandon it. Just like wow, I could abandon a quest easily by hitting the abandon button and not be blocked, even if I did it eons ago and forgot to turn it in for some reason. It happens, but I shouldn't have to be restricted either to abandon it.
  7. I usually don't chime in, but what do you think RPG is? Role - "Single" playing game. Ok, now that we got that definition out of the way. Now we look at MMO "Massively mutliplayer "you know, more than one player" Online "somewhere where we collaborate". I think a lot of people forgot the whole definition. This game certainly fits the bill. You forgot about social points that you can gather if you choose to team up with people. Also apparently forgot that you can solo from 1 to 50 because it does happen to be a single player game. So what is wrong with choose a class, going to 50, but yet, having to play another class with a different storyline and experiencing something different? I don't get you people who complain about this. It makes absolutely no sense. Or choosing to group up with people. All they did was take out the absolutely necessary grouping, made it soloable or to team up if you want to. Nothing is stopping you from saying "hey buddy, wanna group up for a heroic on this planet?". I've teamed up with quite a few people from time to time. Replayability apparently a lot of people forgot the definition to. I shouldn't have to define it, as it speaks for itself. Is guild wars going to be replayable? Are they going to have a big set of storylines for each character? Or is it also going to be complete set of scripts that repeat itself over and over again? You say dynamics, but how much dynamics can you really throw into a game without seeing it more than once? I bet you'll be bored of it after a year. Rift tried something like that, and apparently, I started seeing the same thing, over and over again. Got bored of it after six months of play. Oh well. Life moves on right?
  8. I've noticed another thing as well. Not sure if you all noticed, but, I found the loading times between sets have also increased. Tremendously! Don't lose that one bioware. Love you guys!
  9. isn't it a bit early for april fools?
  10. The comparison, should be...what was it like in vanilla wow? How was PvP at that time? That's what you should be comparing all of your experiences from. Not a 7 year old polished game, that took 7 years to get there. ToR will be here for a long time to come. Mark my words. There are new people joining everyday. But then there are those "fanbois" that you call it also leaving. It's a love/hate relationship, just like everything else. Either you like it or you don't. We aren't here to twist your arm if you don't wanna play. /end thread
  11. I love this game! LOVE IT! I'm not trading this game for any other. I can't play another MMO. It is just not feesible anymore. This game did it in for me. I hope it will do the same for years to come.
  12. That is because the community is completely conflicted in whether or not they want LFG or other features. Some say yes, some say no. It's all a matter of what we want in it or not. Some of us don't want cross server, but might be ok same server LFG, Addons another big controversy. Personally, I don't think we all know what we want in there as "features". We want to learn the mistakes of what WoW did and don't want to repeat them. We would like, more than anything a strong community but not to destroy a game we want to play.
  13. I read they were fixing the issue and taking ACTION against those who abused it. Now everyone has made assumptions, so what do you think they are doing to those who have abused it? Do you think they will "rollback" their points and take away their titles, in order to fix it? No one thought about that, now did they? No, instead they complained and wanted a complete rollback that would destroy even the ones who legitimately earned the rank.
