Yeah, it was never explicitly tied to the Conquest event (unless they made a code change that tied it to it) because absolutely nothing about Death Mark requires Bounty Week to be running (unlike the way Gree & Rakghoul do). They just sync'd them up at some point because of the theme even though it seriously screws up the whole Conquest rotation because of how frequently it comes along. My best guess is that when they turned off Conquest, they turned off Bounty Week, too.

  3. Looks like it. There's a login queue now and that's usually a sure sign of trouble.
  4. Pretty sure the no empathy bit comes from the $22,000 demand and empty legal threat. The best you could probably hope for is a refund of anything you had spent in the last 30 days AND termination of your account. I imagine even Australian consumer protection law would agree.
  5. I went to all the servers that are merging with The Ebon Hawk and made characters with my names. This: 1) Guarantees that I will only be conflicting with myself when the merge happens. 2) Keeps other people from grabbing the names in the meantime. 3) Lets me see which names have existing conflicts and what level those characters are by adding them to my friends list. I discovered that out of all my names, the vast majority of conflicts were with characters level 10 and under. There were only 3 conflicts with characters between levels 50 and 65 (all my EH characers are lvl 70) but those are names I'm not especially attached to anyway. All in all, it looks like I'm in pretty good shape name-wise when the merge happens.
  6. They've actually given that vehicle away as a reward for multiple things so your argument doesn't really hold up. If there was ever a "Do X and we'll give you a generic reward" item, this would be it because I'm pretty sure this is at least the 4th time they've offered it as a reward for something.

  8. Face Merchants respawn timer needs to be reduced some more. It went from like 5 minutes to 4? Whatever it was, it was not enough of an improvement. The way these things are farmed, it needs to be 2 minutes max or the kill bonus needs to be changed to 6 so people don't need to wipe out more than 2 of the groups to get it and then move on. Or even better... extend the bonus mission to include the MOBs inside the instanced area for guaranteed kills.
  9. So once again BioWare proves that they do not know the meaning of "minor adjustment" when it comes to fixing things. Their first instinct is always HIT IT WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER AND CHECK BACK IN 3 YEARS TO SEE IF THAT FIXED IT. 18 hours (it was not a typo) is WAY too long. Sure, 1 hour may not have been enough time to get the gang together and go hunt down some world bosses but 18 hours means that my opposite alignment characters are pretty much SoL when it comes to earning tokens every time they earn a new command rank for the rest of the day. Heaven help you if you're never lucky enough to log in at an appropriate time because... Assuming none of the back-end math behind it changed, it means that the whole DvL thing will just be a constant swap between victory states since the other side will have 18 hours worth of bonus points accrued when it eventually ends. Lather, rinse, repeat. It needed to be longer, but something like 2-4 hours max. Anything longer becomes too harsh a penalty for the losing side.
  10. This used to happen to my gunslinger after every patch (whether or not they got an update) but not it happens after every login.
  11. You seem to think that there aren't a lot of people playing at midnight in America. In fact, 5am GMT would be a very bad time for American players. I know it sucks, but they've said they have to take the servers down at the same times and they do it when they are least populated. Unfortunately that means during American off-times because of the higher populations. If it were simple restarts, I imagine they could accommodate the different regions but I'm pretty sure it's got to do with keeping all versions of the game unified in all regions.
  12. I keep a spreadsheet ledger of all my Cartel Coin transactions. It's a lot. Then again, this game is my primary hobby so I don't feel guilty about spending money on it.
  13. Every time they give out codes, they're gone within milliseconds.
  14. See what can happen when you actually observe the game as a player instead of just looking at your metrics? Things can be fun. We want them to be fun. There's a middle ground to be had that BioWare never seems to be able to find... it always starts out fun for us and then gets nerfed into oblivion when it's "fixed" STOP doing that. Find that middle ground that keeps things fun but doesn't upset the balance of the game.
  15. If Conquest is your concern then you just need to put in a hard cap on it. 100% would have been fine but that ship may have already sailed. Beyond that, you need to divorce the Conquest bonus from the number of hooks filled because that's just a silly mechanic to have in place. If you *MUST* tie the bonus to strongholds, link it to number of rooms unlocked and number of strongholds acquired. Anybody can fill hooks with garbage. Don't penalize people who want nicely decorated houses by forcing them to fill them up with junk just to take advantage of a game mechanic. I'm sure somebody in the meeting when all this was being planned out thought it would be a great idea to encourage players to seek out decorations and engage with strongholds. But, like so many who have come before them, they failed to understand that players will always seek the path of least resistance and no matter how you may envision your glorious utopia of a well decorated galaxy, the truth is that most of them are gonna look like something out of Sanford and Son and be otherwise forgotten just to play the numbers game.
  16. Unless the patch notes specifically said they were increasing the number of strongholds you could have, why would you assume they had increased the number of strongholds you could have? Every time they've increased it, there has been a specific mention of the increase.

  18. I didn't like it for my first play through. It's COMPLETELY inconsistent with the way my Outlander story has played out thus far. My character hasn't done a single thing to support the traitor's reasoning for their actions. The Alliance I've built has acted as a liberator from the tyranny of the Eternal Throne and worked to maintain the balance of power between the Empire and the Republic. I'm not oppressing anyone. It'd be ok for my evil characters, and I understand that they need to make a one-size-fits-all story, but this was the wrong size because it didn't fit. Even if they are going for the whole "I only pretended to betray you but I needed you to believe it or I never would have been able to infiltrate and stop this other group" thing, it's still very weak. Honestly, I expected better. And if it turns out that's NOT what they're going for and this was a straight up betrayal, that's even worse.
  19. You realize that diverting development resources to refreshing old content would just make the wait even longer for new content, right?
  20. My gunslinger resets after EVERY patch. It's pretty annoying.
  21. Just stick her in the Cartel Market and call it good. That's really what you should have done in the first place. People who earned the reward got the reward. Everyone else could buy the other one if they wanted it.
  22. Yeah, definitely need to raise her limit to keep pace with the maximum stronghold number.
  23. See, the real problem here is that you should have anticipated this. WE certainly knew this is how it worked, why didn't y'all? Now, the *PROPER* fix for the problem is to prevent the free unlock from all except the character that did it first. Then everyone who was using the system as intended gets to be happy, and the only ones left unhappy are the ones who were circumventing the account unlock system.
  24. Can we expect the UI to be updated to show the proper source of these missing items? It's pretty confusing when decoration interface tells you it comes from a particular source but the reality is quite different.
