  1. Or maybe it'll be our next ability for an expansion with some new powers. It was supposed to be pretty rare after all
  2. I've always assumed it's referring to knockbacks.
  3. The books aren't canon and cannot be followed. I could draw a picture of a jedi with lightsaber nunchucks but that don't make it true.
  4. There are many reasons why A sentinel should only use 1 saber, I will begin. Concentration - you can concentrate more when you are only worrying about one saber 2 Hands- you can grib your saber with both hands and would probably be able to hit harder. More damage = more DPS each hour. Distraction - People might think you are a guardian or sage, and leave you alone. When you have 2 sabers you are everyone's first target. Stayling alive longer = more damage from DPS. Lore - Jedi's only use 2 sabers when theyr companion gets hurt and they need to equip someone else's saber. Other than that they only have one weapon. Look at Anakin, Luke, Obi Wan, and Vader. Purpose - the second saber barely adds any damage anyway... don't be a sellout. Don't be a sellout, use one saber and actually learn to play your class.
  5. Yes! This way you can include multiplayer!
  6. Then perhaps my UI was bugged when I tried out combat, because it was absolutely a channeled ability
  7. I compare it to master strike because it has a super long casting bar. What happens if you let it complete?
  8. I don't really mess with Combat much, so please explain Blade Rush to me. I didn't like it because it feels like Master Strike, in that it takes a long time to complete. Does it also do damage at the beginning?
  9. I played EQ2 before coming to SWTOR and in that game you simply didn't need keybinds. I could just stand in one spot and click my hotbars 90% of the time. Changing gameplay styles has been a challenge for sure but I started off slowly and worked my way towards where I am now. Started out simply doing 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Eventually added a few letter keys, Q, E, R, F, and V. These took some getting used to. Eventually mapped Shift R to my force leap, because it felt really natural for me. Added ~ for my huttball pass, shift+space for my dispatch, and got a Razer Death Adder, (Cheaper than naga) and used those extra few buttons as well. I've got about 90% of my needed abilities mapped right now and as soon as I'm completely comfortable with them I'll add one more key. The one big one I odn't have mapped yet is Riposte, and I'm starting to click it alot more often now so I think I'm going to find a good place to map it before this weekend and shortly thereafter I'll be pretty close to where I want to be.
  10. That statement shouldn't begin with IMHO because you aren't actually expressing your opinion. Like, you could say IMHO go with Focus, of IMHO roll a Sage instead.... but to SAY IMHO do what you think is best... isn't really your opinion at all, it'll be the OP's opinion. and yes I am making a whole paragraph about nothing because I'm bored at work.
  11. TPM is one of the best Star Wars movies. Empire>Jedi>TPM>RotS>AotC>ANH Liam Neeson was amazing, Darth Maul was amazing, Ewan McGreggor was good too. The pod race shoudl have been shorter or completely omitted, the midiclorien thing was dumb, and jar jar had a wee bit too much dialouge, but other than that it was a good film.
  12. Not in hardmodes. most of the droids have immunity.
  13. yeah it wasn't that bad. I'd love for them to re-do Star Wars with a new director and a slightly new interpretation.
  14. I got news for you. They asked you to quit because they don't like you and think you are a terirble player. The lack of a knockback was simply the excuse they gave you because they didn't want to hurt your feelings. They asked me to break you the news.
  15. How does rested XP "Hurt" you? If you outlevel a quest it gives you less XP... but that's fine, because you didn't need th XP for it anyway since you are already higher level. You want to turn off rested XP so you get less XP from stuff you are doing, just so you can get more XP from other stuff? If you don't care about XP that much then why do you care if you outlevel a quest?
  16. Personally I hate Ilum. The reason I hate Ilum is due to balance issues, and also because I'm a Sentinel, and Ilum is not fun for Melee types. Any time I go out to Ilum, its a complete landslide one way or the other. Either we have 20+ people at center, and there are virtually no imperials.... or we have a handful of republic, and the Imperials have 75+ in a huge swarm and they obliterate you before you can even see them. There needs to be balancing in the numbers. and you can't just rely on "incentives" to try to get more people on Ilum. You need a forcing mechanism, and perhaps a rationining mechanism. We already know that you can do instancing on Ilum. So have a station in Ilum that you can sign up for an instance of Ilum, and 25 people per side are permitted in each one. It won't start until 25 are queued, and will essentially work like a warzone. You could still keep Ilum 1 as-is, but you'd give the option for players to opt into a more balanced version.
  17. I don't know why the poll is closed, But i'd certainly vote that I hate it. The hotbars at LAUNCH were perfect.
  18. go to Ilum 2 and harvest all your updates at mid.
  19. Yes it does. If you get a triple stacked Overloaded Saber on someone and hit Zen, it'll be doing buttloads more damage, so that is generally the ideal time to hit it. Other acceptable times to hit Zen are if you really need the heals, or if you've got only 1 or 2 stacks, but your target escapes you somehow, then you can hit it to increase the damage as they are fleeing.
  20. Clearly the community has mixed feelings on which hotbar type they prefer. I know 2 things: First - The original hotbar type was the best. Sure some like the newer stuff yet, but I don't think anyone threatened to quit in beta because of getting headaches etc. It wasn't broke, so it didn't need to be fixed. Second - Player choice is the ultimate answer here. Give us the OPTION to choose which hotbar graphics we want. And if giving us this option is going to take considerable time, then I urge you to immediatley set it back to what it was originally in the meantime. I honestly cannot STAND to even log in anymore with the disco-Strobe light effects going on with my screen. If you don't change it back, and fast, I'm afraid you'll lose a TON of subscribers.
  21. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE this change to the UI. Please let the abilities that aren't available simply appear black like they did at launch. Or better yet give us some options in our preferrences of which style to select.
  22. Oh my Yoda..... what have you guys done? This makes the game absolutely terrible. I'm honestly disgusted at this new strobe-light effect every time I'm in combat on my hotbars. Why can't you just give us the option to make it look like it looked at launch?!?!?! If the ability is on cooldown make it BLACK. If it's available let it LIGHT up.
  23. It's like... I could go talk to some friends and coordinate to meet 2 sith healers in a corner on Huttball and just fight one while they spam heals... and I'll rack up a **** ton of damage. Then just show the scoreboard. I realize this is likely not what he did considering there were a bunch of kills... but regardless the full video would have been nice.
