  1. It's not about DPS. Some people actually like the mobility/utility/survival aspect of PvP and aren't just DPS whores. There are different builds for different playstyles, get on the boat. I prefer a 23/0/18 build. /thread
  2. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301hRGrboboMZZbIbbdh.1 Combat Tech PvP Set
  3. Hmm. Alright. Because I was looking into somewhat of a balance, Like pickup up Combat Tech and Puncture, because of how far into the ST tree we are, We don't have quite as many nukes (such as TD).
  4. Alright. What if you took Flame Surge over Puncture though?
  5. Why is the 15% of Rail Shot worth more than the 15% Rocket Punch?
  6. Yeah, I think I need a jack of all trades set. Isn't the Eliminator Merc gear anyways? If it's not, then what the hell is Jet Boost, lol
  7. Define "low" crit chance. I'm only 46 and I have a 15% crit chance w/ a 54% multiplier, though I intend to get the Combat Tech gear when I hit 50.
  8. WoW didn't abuse it though, and only 2 classes could do it. Rift it was trash just as much. Rift had sucky PvP so why they picked it up is beyond me. And I'd love the ability to interrupt if WZ pings weren't absolutely off the wall.
  9. Yup. I'm sorry I subscribed for three months. Thought I'd actually like this game.
  10. Oh, no reason. Rather than reiterating the several obvious points of my last thread I chose to make this one, as anyone with half a wit knows that PvP sucks, and why it does. If I had to make a main point, I'd say nerf Inquisitors and all stealth classes too. Stealth is absolutely overpowered to the point where it is dumb. Stealthing mid-fight, really? Spammable Force Lightning, really? Both are clearly OP. I shouldn't really have to state it.
  11. It's just absolutely awful, BioWare. You should be ashamed of yourself. Fix it. Now.
  12. Spell Mercenaries correctly to prove your competency.
  13. Seriously, BioWare? I know this is a new game and all, but learn from the mistakes of other companies. Does every class really need 10minutes of stuns? It is absolutely ridiculous. Wayyy to many stuns from every class in every sort of game. This was an awful part of Rift, why one earth would you decide to reproduce it? And Inquisitors.... Talk about overpowered. Sorc's sit back and spam Force Lightning and watching their force meter... IT DOESN'T MOVE. Same with Mercenaries, to a lesser extent. 90% of the ones I see sit back and spam tracer missiles. It's pathetic. There's not even a rotation. There's one ability. Also, Inquisitors and Marauders. Why can they stealth in the Middle of combat? Absolutely sick. This is worthless. Yeah, I can use stealth scan but hey, guess what? They're already 20-30 feet away from me, at the health pack. I cannot describe how absolutely infuriating this game's PvP is. It's disgusting. Worse than Rift, almost bad enough for me to get back to WoW. Inquisitors just need to be nerfed. That's it. The knockback that they, troopers, and mercenaries, just needs to be gone. I can't count the amount of times I've been knocked off the bridge in Void Star for an insta-death due to this. It is really unnecessary, BioWare. Also, For the love of God, give me something other than Huttball. It gets really old, pretty quick.. and I'm not the only one complaining. Heals- Make them longer so people can actually interrupt them. Or make the interrupts actually work. There's been so many times I've gotten a healer down to about 20-30%, I interrupt a heal and then ohhhhhh thats right. They can heal while my Quell is on CD. Perfect. Seriously BW, Fix this. It's pathetic and it sucks. PvP should be skill based, it shouldn't have half this many mechanics.
  14. Hmm. Alright. So 21/2/18 is pretty much where it's at.
  15. See, that's what I thought and what I was making sure of. Some people only go for Superheated Rail and Puncture, but meh. Is CGC viable for this kind of build, or is IGC typically used? http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301GMhrbMboZ0MZfhMbdh.1
  16. OR something along the lines of: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301hRGrboboMZMsZbIbb.1
  17. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301hRGrboboMZZbIbbdh.1 What do you guys think?
  18. Rakata Combat Tech looks promising, but what the hell is Jet Boost, lol? EDIT: Both Combat Tech's look nice. I'm assuming Jet Boost is a Merc Ability?
  19. Title says it all. I've looked online and found nothing. Anyone care to help me out? Much appreciated.
  20. Also- I kind of have issues with dropping Flame Surge and the +10% shielding bonus in ST. Those are the clutch late-tree talents imo.
  21. True. I guess I didn't think about that. Still, that's 3 points. Couldn't they be better spent in Prototype to get retractable blade?
  22. Wasted points by specializing in two cylinders. Might wanna look at this again.
  23. Also it seems as if Pyrotech is a poor choice for a Hybrid build, as you almost have to give up your main spec's cylinders for any useful points in the Pyrotech to pick up incindiary missile or higher (the three points above it, I'm not looking at a skill tree right now). Having a Shield Tech/Pyrobuild seems awkward at best, but also situationally viable. I like it, but that's just my opinion. I feel it's not the best, but there are so many specs it just comes down to playstyle and preference. Also- gear. I'm currently 31 Shield Tech because I bought a full set of the level 40 tank PvP gear.
  24. People say that it does less damage because of the kinetic aoe attached onto it, and technically that's true. But in a PvP situation that's not the case, and TD has significantly increased damage on a single target. That's why I use it. TD's single target damage knocks ED's out of the water. Hell, you can even keep ED on your toolbar if you really want it that bad, and simply save it for AOE situations.
