  1. This is for the Dev Team. I'm a product manager so feedback is important to me.: I returned because I heard about 7.0 and It's been many years since I played and to be honest I missed force leap. Here are my reasons for not continuing to play this game: - PvE is so easy that it's boring and pointless so leveling a character from 1+ is not fun for me at all. - The GTN is broken. This game was never designed to have items that cost 1 billion credits. You guys handed 3rd party credit sellers the key to the GTN. When I logged off however many years ago, I was rich with 1.7 million credits. Those were credits earned in game, by the game's rewards. This is the most hilarious auction house I've ever seen in an MMORPG. - I prefer PvP tbh but this game's pvp is currently the worst pvp in the MMORPG industry. - Classes are beyond imbalanced. You guys made all of the melee classes completely useless. - Gear to win at the level of this design is disgusting. 800 million for top level augments to be relevant in pvp = Pay to win. So you have Pay to Win > Gear to Win PvP. wow... Buy Cartel Items and sell on GTN or Buy 3rd Party Credits then you can afford 1, 800 million credit augment. - Every class is a mega tank now. Unkillable mega tank sorcerers, unkillable mega tank snipers, unkillable mega tank operatives, etc. So just button smash away because it does nothing. The amount of people that have 0 deaths at the end of a warzone is baffling. It's just not fun. - CC spam fest. At least 30-40% of combat is spent CC'd. That's just not fun. - Although I figured it out after a ridiculous amount of research and asking questions. The gearing up process is the worst I've ever seen in any mmorpg game ever. Extremely complex. Tons of guides online explaining how to do it the wrong way so that those people who made the guides can benefit in ranked. Once you do figure it out and get a max set with the proper mods and you should be good to go, then you realize, "Oh i'm still useless without those 800 million credit augs". - There's nothing fun about the pvp. I don't feel powerful. The gearing up process is more research than it is playing the game. Nobody dies and there's a handful of players with mega-min-maxed gear that queue up in premades just to roflmao stomp under geared players. It's just not fun. - Operations and Flash points are fun the first 1-2 times you do it. For me this was a positive and I have nothing negative to say about end game PvE. But it's also not a challenge at all. - I thought about creating a sniper but with double exp gone and the leveling up process being so boringly easy, and the end game which for me is pvp but pvp is bad; I just decided to cancel my sub instead. You guys really should have kept 7.0 a secret until it was ready. & I honestly don't know if 7.0 will fix any of these issues and I'll never know.
  2. Idk if the devs read this but it's for them. I'm a returning player. I was 98% PvP back in the day, ran the top pvp guild on my server, etc. We played PvP matches all day every day for at least a year and it's all we did. As a returning player - PvP is disappointing: 1. Every class today including squishy classes are better Tanks than a Jugg-Tank was back in the day. Literally every class is extremely, overly Tanky now. This means that a Melee class who manages to chase down a ranged class can't do anything once they get to the ranged class. Because the ranged class can just tank you long enough to get his CD's to run again. They're unkillable by melees and it offsets the balance. How it was/should be: High DPS Ranged = Mobility but Squishy Mid/Low Level Melee DPS = low mobility but Tanky. It's a balance. Now it's this: High DPS Ranged = Mobility and Tanky Mid/Low Level Melee = Low Mobility and Tanky. It's completely off balance. I play a lot of different games, I jump around a lot and currently this one is the most off-balanced pvp game. & With every class in the game now being so tanky, + healers, +shields, +mobility, +CC; PvP battles last forever and it's literally just a button smashing fest on a punching bag because nobody is dying. Literally the only way to get the upperhand is to 4v1. But that 1 can last long enough (even if it's a "Squishy") for his friends to respawn and then the loop of nothing happening continues.... There's zero balance in pvp and everybody can easily run from a fight and get away because they are so tanky that they get away with it which means it requires less skill to pvp because you can just... Run away. Expertise was taken out of the game because it was unfair. People without expertise literally couldn't pvp properly. So they queued and got wrecked for weeks so that they could earn expertise gear. This new system is exactly the same, except for, it's no longer as simple as buying expertise gear. Oh no no no.... To Gear Up For PvP: You have to ask hundreds of questions. You have to look at excel sheets. You have to watch youtube videos. You have to pray to the RNG overlord. You have to RNG your Gear's Mods........... You have to do wayyyyyy toooo much BS to get gear now. It's terrible. It's such a headache and the only other game on the market that has it worse than this is BDO. Expertise was a 10x better system because at least then, I didn't have to do research and spend hours combing through loot to find relevant mods. (Division 2 had the same problem where people were spending half of their time sorting through loot looking for mod upgrades. Then they fixed it.) Last but not least, there's way too many bubbles. Everything is already zomg-tanky then you add the bubbles and everybody has a bubble. So you switch targets and fight somebody with out a bubble. Then that person gets bubbled. So you switch targets and fight somebody with out a bubble. Honestly, there's just way way way too much defense in this game. It's like watching 2 teams of punching bags with arms fighting. Between the Tankiness and the Gear-2-win system, it completely removes the skill from pvp. With that individual skill being removed, it's replaced by Discord premades. Because now, the deciding factor, is voice chat. "He's bubbled, kill him", "ok switch to X because he's bubbled now". The entire system now revolves around verbal communication; not skill. Back in the day, 1 skilled player could wipe out 6 players easily. End Game PvE on the other hand is absolutely amazing now. 1-75 is terrible because it's so easy. Unless you're all about the story, I honestly recommend skipping/power leveling to 75 because the end game pve is so good now. So many options and it feels really good. But Leveling up is atrocious now. It's so mind-numbing easy. If I'd never played the game, and I logged in, I'd be bored and quit. I and I'd never have gotten to experience the best part of this game which is End Game PvE. I would honestly give all new accounts 1 free boost just. I don't know what happening in 7.0 but I honestly hope it's dramatic and I hope it's not buffing the punching-bag system. And honestly guys... For the sake of people with lives or for new players or for returning players, etc. Please ffs add end game gear with the mods that, that player needs to succeed, instead of sending them down a rabbit hole of misguided information all the way to some dark corner of discord where they share super secret excel documents. It's disgustingly over-complicated right now and it's such a time-sink away from actually playing the game.
  3. That's actually a different set with the same name. I saw those. Compare those with the pics I posted https://i.imgur.com/s0eBWvJ.jpeg . They're different.
  4. 1. So according to this: https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/battlemaster-war-leader/ Where to Obtain: No longer available. Orange sets still available with schematics purchased prior to Game Update 1.6: Ancient Hypergate (11 December 2012). 2. Further down the rabbit hole: This person found it 2 months ago: "Update: Found someone in-game that can craft them." 3. Further down the rabbit hole: This person was looking: Can this armour set still be acquired in game? (Champion Vindicator) and one of the comments delivered: https://i.imgur.com/s0eBWvJ.jpeg 4. Further down the rabbit hole: Per This: https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/battlemaster-war-leader/ No longer available. Orange sets still available with schematics purchased prior to Game Update 1.6: Ancient Hypergate (11 December 2012). So basically, can anybody on Star Forge make this? thanks :S
  5. Is it possible to get Z0-0M at level 10? I want to level up with this companion. thanks
  6. "The Imperial Agent base class will see quite a few changes with the 3.0 update. Fragmentation Grenade is now a single target ability, which allows it to deal more damage. " Frag Gernade = a single target ability. You guys should of just removed it. Its completely useless now and the oxymoron of having a "single target grenade" "Shatter Shot no longer has a cooldown and no longer reduces the target’s armor." Well, now under the "Virulence Tree" (aka Lethality) I have no way of bursting Juggs down. Its taken me 3+ months to PVP my way to level 42. I don't like MM, its boring, and stationary and single target based. So I (believe it or not) self-discovered a Lethality/Engineer build that met my playstyle. I used AoE and Dots. I move around ALOT, hardly ever used Cover and did quite well. Now my build/character is obligated to go from 3 DoTs, 2 AoE's, + Burst poential to ... 2 dots and a channeled Aoe which is useless and my burst potential is horrible. Its like building something for 3 months and somebody comes along and breaks it and then gives you a lesser version of what they broke. The play style is completely gone. Its now, dot everybody, cry when i see groups of people that i cant frag nade, and slowly and pathetically burst fire people with Cull or Series of Shots - Knowing that my team will kill so its pointless. "Gunslingers and Snipers will likely first notice that being in cover is no longer a requirement for many of the abilities that previously required it, but also that being in cover is advantageous" Being in cover... Its literally like Tanking now, I had 5-6 people on me while in cover and i was fine for 15 secs. So they nerfed our dmg, and made us a tank. fun... They also nerfed our dots, my dots use to tick at 800-900 now they tick at 400 So u killed my burst, u killed my AoE poential, and nerfed my dots. *** is the point in my character now? Here's another problem, The ability points are aimed towards MM, They have nothing to do with the Eng or the Leth tree. I look at these things and i'm like *** do i need any of these things for? Least they could of done is made Disciple oriented ability points... They've taken a beautiful pvp system, a beautiful class system, and dumbed it down to a preschool level that would be compatiable to something found in an X-box game where "premade classes" are already built. IE HEAL, TANK, WIZARD, PALA. You guys have devolved MMORPG's with this crap. You've literally backtracked 5-10 years. Character Trees and the ability to customize abilities, skills, and advancement is an evolution to gaming.\ SWTOR Had advanced PvP. It was a rich and complex system that catered to a very deprived MMORPG PvP community and with this 3.0 you've killed it. I'm sorry but its just a matter of time when there are just 4 classes being played for PvP. Its going to come down with which classes had trees that didn't need to be hybrid to be sufficient to make a difference in a game. Veng jugg = u could load all your pts on that tree and be fine. Well Leth Sniper = not so much, Eng Sniper = not so much, Together = a good meal, however. "Now a not so much" Tree, is deprived of its only viable AoE = Frag Gernade. The whole sniper tree has just taken a low blow. the only thing i do in this game is PvP. I find PvE, eh time consuming and it makes me sleepy to be honest. When i was younger PvE was the market for me but i'm older now and PvP is more exciting. My character, due to having less abilities, essentially does less, thus Its not non stop action, thus, i get sleepy now, and bored, that's the word, bored. I already unsubbed, just saying. I hate that there will be a bunch of forum trolls saying bad stuff below but as a gamer, as a swtor pvp enthusiasts and promoter; i just wanted to express myself. SWTOR 3.0 is a devolved version of SWTOR 2.9 Did Anybody else experience anything like this? do you feel deprived of what u once had? PVP personal only please. PvE = irrelevant
  7. <3 Ty so very very very much for this. I'm figuring out the tricks of the trade and this will help boost me to the next level. Man, TY x10 seriously. <3 Ty
  8. Ok.. Marauder PvP Take 3. This will be my 3rd time attempting to roll a Pure PvP Marauder from lvl 10-55 leveling solely in Warzones. Lets talk 10-30 for starts. We all know that Mara from 10-30 are hands down the worst pvp class in the game. Lets not debate this please. Not here. Lets focus on making this a learning and sharing thread. 1. What is the goal of the Marauder from 10-30 PvP? IE. A. A jugg protects, owns huttball, objectives. B. A Sniper, sorc,PT,merc gets max dmg etc. C. Healers heal. D. Sins/OPs guard and capture nodes etc. 2. So what should the Marauder focus on? A. Mara's in AoE areas = BAD #suicide. B. 1v1 = ok not bad. Should the Mara just run around dueling? C. Objectives = lets leave that to other classes. D. 100% focus Healers? That could work. I'd say it works about 50% of the time. If they have friends w/them then its #suicide. E. Focus snipers? HAHA sike. Impossible to kill snipers with Mara unless the Sniper is mega bad. Inf act Snipers are the marauders greatest bane imo. So now that we have a general idea of my thread; let me just ask questions and please (Skilled PvP Mara's) help me to love this class and to dominate in PvP as I have with my Jugg and Sniper. If I can go 29-30 wins / 0 losses regularly with a premade or pugs then I think I am ready for this challenge again. 1. What is the goal of the Marauder from 10-30 PvP? 2. So what should the Marauder focus on? 3. How does one obtain Max Damage as a Marauder in 10-30 PVP? How to beat all other classes in max dmg output? 4. Annihilation Tree: How does a Marauder optimize dots? 5. Carnage: What is the main goal of this Tree? 6. Rage: What is the main focus of this tree? 7.How do i dwarf all the other Marauders in the Warzone? As a sniper i can do double or tripple DPS more than another other sniper in the WZ. How to do this with a Marauder? 8. What are the biggest noob mistakes a new Marauder makes? *please dont say by rolling a Mara 9. What class should fear the Marauder? Who is my *****? With my sniper; Marauders are my toys. 10. Avoid snipers at all cost or has somebody figured out this enigma? I dont expect 1 person to be able to answer all these questions. If you do answer a question then please answer it in the form of. 1. "answer" in regards to question "1." If i have left anything out then please educate me. I really, really want to make this class work. I really want to pwn as a Marauder and I really think its possible but I need solid knowledge. 10-30 pvp first. Help me out plz. Thanks

    Best PvP Server?

I picked the west coast server "The Bastion"

    Best PvP Server?

I'm returning and my characters where randomly assigned a new server and butchered of their names so i started a new character. I chose Ebon Hawk because at the time all the other servers were on low pop and that was the only one that was standard. However i cant express how bad PvP is on this server lol. The "Dedicated Pvp guilds" are just awful. I like to play MMO's because i like teaming up and excelling as a unit. idk. Back in the day I ran the top PVP guild on Infinity gate, we went 29/30 all the time because we were a solid team and everybody got serious during game time. So, i'm either going to char xfer or start a new char but which server should i choose?
  11. I use to be apart of the #1 PvP guild on Infinity Gate: "Gloom Walkers". We had a private forum with a few pvp tips for our members. I've dug around and finally found it. And enjoy... -Skorn __________________________________________________ _____________________________ (A few things have changed on this map since I last played so some things are obsolete however, there is still valuable tactical info in here so I am going to post it.) **** NOTE ***** (Left and Right are also called "Snow" and "Grass". 4 Speeders no longer spawn so the L&R tactics changed a bit however, still enough good info here to post it.) #tooLazy2Edit *Facts* The key to winning this warzone map is the outside nodes. They reason why is because once you have control of the "Left" and "Right" node, then you can use the speeders to fly you directly to that node. After you capture those nodes, when you respawn, you will notice 4 speeders instead of 2. If you take the speeder to the far right, it will fly you directly to the right node. If you take the speeder to the far left, then it will take you directly to the left node. *Tactics* What happens at the beginning of the match is the most essential. Communicate with your team. Take charge and be a leader in order to get them to listen. At the start of the match send 2 people (no healers) to the left. Preferably 1 Tank and 1 low-level. Send the rest of your team Right. You must succeed in capturing these nodes in order to ensure an easy victory. Rest after battles. Before the match, or right after the nodes are taken then explain to your team about the speeders ( Facts ). After you take the right node, if you see that nobody is coming then send all but 2 of your men back to the left node immediately. Two People to guard each node at all times. Call your Incomings. If you are at the node alone and you are outnumbered then your job is to stay alive, keep them from capping that node, and to calling incoming. You can use the walls and node to interfere with ranged attackers; blocking their line of sight. Use your CC's so that you will take less damage. Run down the stairs, around the wall, back up the stairs, and stop them from capping. Be a one man defense machine through cleverness and cunning. Fight as a unit. Healers die first. If you are fighting a person and he doesn't take damage or keeps regenerating then turn around and look for his healer. Jump on the healer and rip him apart. Use your disruptions and CC's on him to stop him from healing himself. Order your team to "ATTACK NAME = HEALER". After the battle tell the OPS Leader to put a Mark over the healers head so that in the next battle, the whole team will know who to attack. Winning is playing the map not the players. When you are guarding the node, then other team will try to draw you out to fight in the snow. Don’t be a fool and play their game. They are luring you out so that a Stealth can "ninja cap" the node. Make them come to you. If there are 3 of them then knock two of them off and concentrate on one of them. Stay at your node and instruct your team mates to do the same. Communication is the key to victory. If you lose one of the outside nodes then you are probably not going to get it back right away because they are going to use the speeders to respawn on top of that node. It's time to hit middle and hit it hard. Keep 2 on your node and tell the rest of the team to zerge the middle "mid". If a prolonged fight takes place in the mid, then you know that the enemy outer node is vulnerable; now's the time to attack. Send your team to that node and you keep going to mid to keep their team distracted. Make them think that you are going for it. Stay alive, use the node and the walls to keep ranged players from targeting you. Before they know it, your team will have the outer node again. Thanks for reading, -Skorn Credits to Mugatuu for shared tactics.
  12. I use to be apart of the #1 PvP guild on Infinity Gate: "Gloom Walkers". We had a private forum with a few pvp tips for our members. I've dug around and finally found it. And enjoy... -Skorn _______________________________________________________________________________ Okay, so after playing a couple Voidstar battlegrounds I realized that you could save a good minute when attacking the enemy base. 1st your team must destroy the 1st set of doors by themselves. After the first doors are down (save your Force Speed, because you will need it for the next part), run to the next set of doors. As you know, you must activate the computers and let out the two bridges in order to get to place the bomb on the second set of doors. What I found out, is if a Sith Inquisitor is standing in between the two computers (So on the little platforms in the middle, which also happen to have the speed buff that the map provides), they can activate Force Speed, and with the right timing they can jump over the gap and sneak to the second set of doors, even before the computers are activated to let the bridges out. I have done this multiple times and people from our guild such as Skorn, and Roselin (<---Who also has done it) have seen me jump this platform. It is do-able and I highly suggest Inquisitors to practice this. This saves people a good minute in the battleground, and avoids the problem of placing the bomb while every Jedi Scum is trying to kill you. If you have any questions about this I can verify this online and show you how it is done. -Milkydeez :3 __________________________________________________________ This still works . Also one can force leap across that gap if you have a target close enough to the edge.

    Resolve holocron

I use to be apart of the #1 PvP guild on Infinity Gate: "Gloom Walkers". We had a private forum with a few pvp tips for our members. I've dug around and finally found it. And enjoy... -Skorn ___________________________________________________________________________________ I'll start by admitting that I was valor rank 26 before I had any idea what the resolve bar really was or how to take advantage of it. After reading the following post from the swtor forum, I instantly became a significantly better player. The post is long and contains a lot of basic knowledge, so for most, you can skim as necessary, but believe me, the information is crucial to succeeding in PVP against better players. - Mugatuu Players first coming to SWTOR often complain that the “resolve” system doesn't work. In my opinion, it represents a unique solution to the problem of chain CC. For those who understand how it works, like my readers at the end of this guide, resolve offers a system in which good players will make good choices and thereby reap the benefits that lesser knowledgeable players will complain don't work. First, what is crowd control (CC)? Crowd control, or CC as it's abbreviated, was originally intended in MMO's as an ability used by certain low dps classes to make them worthwhile in a group. The abilities range from a short term stun that allows continued damage of the target, to a long term sleep used out of combat to make a mob no longer take actions until it receives damage. PvPers immediately saw the value in these abilities and adopted them for their own uses often to the scorn of those pvpers that didn't have them. In SWTOR we have three types of CC: Snares: an ability that slows the target by a percent up to 100% Mezz: an ability which causes a target to no longer have the ability to take action for a period of time or until damage is taken (whichever comes first). Sometimes these abilities can only be used against certain types of targets (droid) or when a target is out of combat. Stun: an ability of a short term duration that prevents a target from taking action regardless of the amount of damage taken In PvP the three above categories have specific uses to consider. First, one will usually always keep one's target snared so that one can keep on top of them as a melee, or away from them as a ranged. Even in a ranged versus ranged fight, putting a snare on the enemy will help to unbalance his gameplay a bit and reduce the chance he can successfully use LOS (line of sight) to avoid one. Second, Mezz can be useful in a small engagement where AoE will unlikely occur. For example, in Voidstar the disarm bomb ability is much shorter in length than the time a Whirlwind will take a player out of action. Lastly, stuns work best either in a chain with another player to maximize the amount of time an enemy has to endure damage OR when the other player is in a hazardous situation (environmental damage area). Additionally, stuns can be used a cast interrupt against healers OR as an actual stun to kill a player that doesn't know what he's doing or perhaps burned his CC Breaker earlier. Secondly, what is a CC Breaker? In SWTOR, every character has a stun ability and a CC breaker. The CC breaker is an ability that BREAKS CC. Different classes have different names for this ability. Not all classes have the same cooldown between uses of this ability. Not much more to say about that other than learn when to use it. Although all characters get a CC breaker, not everyone knows when to use it properly (to be elaborated on). Thirdly, what is Resolve? Resolve is SWTOR's method of preventing chain CC. Generally, for those leveling up through the pvp bracket, Resolve seems to do nothing. I myself have played part to numerous occassions in which I've been stunned, broken the stun with my CC breaker, only to get immediately stunned again. While quite frustrating, I eventually came to realize I was not using my CC break at the right moment. Resolve is a bar that fills up next to one's avatar and the avatar of one's enemy. When the bar fills up, the person gains immunity to further CC. The length of this immunity is almost long enough to run a huttball from the beginning of the ramps to the goal with a bit of luck. The problem is, most players find that the bar doesn't fill up until they're just about dead. Even when the bar does fill up, the immunity doesn't matter until the cc that filled one's bar wears off. This is where an experienced player knows why resolve is kinda cool. Finally, how do I take advantage of this system? An experienced player uses his damage mitigation abilities in preperation of an incoming CC. Then, while stunned and taking a beating, he doesn't take as much damage as the enemy is hoping to inflict. Thus the CC wears off and the player resumes his PvP having SAVED his CC breaker. Now, when the player gets CC'd again, he immediately uses his CC breaker (because two stuns will fill the bar) and gains immunity to all further CC for a good length of time. Getting this to work in Huttball while carrying the ball works wonders since most players have no idea their CC won't work when the target has a white bar of resolve. Its very important to remember that CC does not work on a player who has a white bar of resolve. Its also important to realize that using CC on someone will give them immunity to further uses once the bar fills up HOWEVER, resolve does not affect snares. So when the resolve bar fills up, one can still snare the player even to the point of zero movement. Furthermore, snaring a player does not increase his resolve bar. So use snares as often as needed without any worry. For those warriors with the ability to cause a 100% snare, remember that it will ALWAYS cause this effect. There is no immunity against it. Another simple strategy to use regarding CC is to test a player's knowledge. Instead of opening up with one's awesome 6 second stun, try using a garbage mezz on the player. If one has an addition stun like many melee classes do, try using that first. A less sophisticated player will automatically use their CC breaker, thus allowing one to immediately follow up with the long 6 second stun whenever it tactically suits one. I use this strategy all the time. In reverse, its important to know what stuns to break and which to eat. Anytime someone stuns one's character in a manner that throws one on the ground, beware using the CC break. A stun that floors a player will only last between 2 and 3 seconds. Stealthers will often mezz a player before starting a fight, just to see if the player will try to break it. If the situation will allow it, save one's CC break. Additionally, don't use a CC break on a snare unless absolutely necessary since snares usually have VERY short cooldowns and can rapidly reapply. Examples of CC not to break include, snares that result from getting pushed. Snipers and some Sorcerors have a 100% snare they do when they AoE push people away. Unless one is taking damage or really want to kill the pusher, consider eating this one. If one's character gets slept, don't break it. As mentioned twice above, abilities that cause a lose of control belonging to the "Mezz" class of CC breaks if one takes damage. So when tactically unnecessary for one to take action, just ride it out. There is only one objective in game that can be capped in the 8 seconds and that's the disarm bomb in voidstar. So in retrospect, resolve may seem like a broken system, but actually has some interesting layers of complexity to it. Those players who know these tricks, will see that resolve not only does work, but can be gamed to work for one. __________________________________________________________ I just want to follow up on this topic with one piece of personal commentary/advice for a specific situation in Huttball, but one that could determine a win or loss: In the situation where an enemy ball-carrier that has crossed the 2nd fire and is making his way towards the endzone, if his resolve bar is not full and he has significantly high health and/or has a healer trailing, do NOT use a "desperation" cc (such as a mezz or short stun)!!! There are many players on your team that may have just the right move to pull, push, or knockback, the ball-carrier to force him into the "pit" area. Your "desperation" cc has essentially a 0% chance of working and very often leads to resolve, thereby preventing any teammates from actually stopping the goal! That is all, carry on. - Mugatuu
  14. Back when i use to play (launch-6months) there was something called a resolve bar which, if full, you could not CC that target, and it filled up by getting CCed. This stopped chain CCing and people who watched that resolve bar were the real rock-n-rollas. But now, I can not believe the amount of CC's... Force Choked, Slowed, Stunned, Etc etc etc, -->> CCed for 15-25 seconds straight? I've looked everywhere for the resolve bar but i cant seem to find it? If it still exists can somebody post a SS of it please? Also could somebody please explain how the resolve bar works in todays world? Thanks
  15. So... I deleted my sent and basically about 500k worth of gear (i wanted to keep my name) and re-rolled and went Guardian. You can bicker all you want about it, Guardian > Sent. I do the exact same about of damage and survive x4 times longer. One thing that did suck though was: Going from two light sabers to One ***Ouch!*** I miss having two sabers thats for damn sure. Also wth is with the way that the guardian runs with his saber? But for PvP purposes, Guard > Sent. Case closed.
  16. This is good feedback. I was almost completely sure that I would get trolled but from what I can tell the SWTOR community is probably the most mature MMO community i've every had the pleasure of gaming with. Its not so much about laziness; its the fact that there is a better class than the sent/mara and thats the guard/jugg. The guard/jugg can out CC, out Tank, and Equal DPS the sent/mara. And over all, because world pvp is basically non-existent; PvP = Warzones and Juggs are better cut-out for the role of being a team player in a warzone. Someone ^ even said that the PvE players who fight vs a Sent/Mara know that they just need to CC and that's it, they win. And yeah, its my level but its not the destination, its the adventure. Playing 200+ hours to get to level 51 just so you can finally be up to par with the competition doesn't make a lot of sense. It's safe to say that Sent/Mar is one of the weakest PvP classes. They were at launch, and they still are. They are a finely crafted blade, yet they are unsharpened; all the other classes have an edge but this one just doesn't. Thats pretty much why Asajj Ventress consistently got her *** kicked by everyone she fought in The Clone Wars. So I guess the Mara/Sent is up to par with lore haha
  17. Sent vs Operative: Operative's CC & Stuns destroy the sent. Sent vs Sniper: Sniper get you down to 70% b4 u get to him, you get to him and he pushes you back, you get back to him and you die. No force leap here friends. Sent vs Jugg: Jugg out tanks, delievers equal dmg, Heals ftw. Sent vs Sorc: Sorcs are easy because they are actually more squishy than the sent YAY! Sent vs BH/Vanguard: We battle it out but because hes a beast tank, he friend jump on me b4 i can finish him. Sent vs shadow: Those *********** cc's again man damn. Sent vs Sent: Lol. first hit wins. Sent in big battle in middle of warzone: find weakest target, attack, kill, fine next weakest target, attack, die, respawn, loop /end rant x2
  18. I 'm a returning player, my old main was a Jugg, pure pvp, probably leveled him from 25-50 via pvp, and back when I played Mara/Sents were very crappy for PvP. They had such a bad rep that I think we only had 1-2 in our pvp guild of 100 players. I rolled a Sent thinking that a few years of patches changed things but imoho the sent is crap for warzones. My jugg did just as much damage, had twice the CC, and could out live this sent x3 fold. The worst part about PvPing a Sent is getting CC'd. I get CCed i click on my 1 release and then I'm slowed, and then I'm CCed again, and then I'm dead. The lack of CC's is the 2nd worst part. Jugg had so many options, force choke, slow, jumpx2, push. You can do a lot with that. The sent can do dmg yes but playing a sent is like being a kamikaze bomber, you go in, you burst, you die lol, Even with a pocket healer the sent just cant hold up in pvp battle. My favorite thing to do with my sent is find people alone and 1v1 them but if my release is on cool down then i get stunned and killed. The other classes have so many CC's that it makes 1v1 vs a knowledgeable player unforgiving. The Jugg can survive long enough to get **** done in battle, arm door bombs, capture nodes, interrupt. The Sent, simply cant. Killing Healers with a jugg is way eaiser than it is with a sent because you can CC them. The Sent just has burst but they heal right through that. I would absolutely reroll a guardian (because i've never played light side) but I've already spend my 3k cartel points on this toon. Its not hard to go into a warzone and come out with the highest dmg on the team. I did that earlier but the entire time i focused their healer, layed into him until his mates killed me, went back for him again, and never killed him lol. But hey, I got 100k more dmg than anyone else in the match. Absolutely irrelevant towards the goal of winning the match. Maybe the Sent gets better later idk, I've leveled him from 10-18 via PVP only, and maybe its my level but imoho the Sents that use to have a rep for sucking>>> Still Suck compared to the other options... I should of rolled Guardian instead of Sentinel... /end rant
  19. I'm a returning player. I played a 50 Jugg back in the day, full maxed pvp gear, and back when i played the Sent/Mara had a bad reputation for sucking. But Prior to CharCreate i read up on things and now everybody swears by them so I rolled one. I'm having a hard time with this class in PvP. Maybe its because I dont have enough skills yet (level 16). 1. I only have 1 stun break which is killing me because i break stun, then I get stunned again (i spend alot of time Stunned). 2. A serious lack of CC's. Jugg had choke, push, 2 jumps, slows. again maybe its a lack of skills due to level. What I do like about this class vs the jugg: 1. I can kill people 1v1, not just 1 or 2 classes but everybody. So i'm developing my play style with the Sent, I will not give up; I simply just need help from better players. I read all about Smashmonkeys and that was my original intention but as i progress i have to admit its not my play style to just jump in a mosh pit and spam 1 key. I want to spec for a 1v1 Sentinel Dueler. I like jumping from 1, 2, 3 different players and taking them out in order. I also like to avoid AoE areas that will destroy me. The Smashmonkey build is great but that requires being in a AoE deathpitt. I want to Kill that healer, take out that Sniper, Spank that shadow that's solo guarding that node. So I need a 1v1 Sentinel PvP Build. Please include a tree with points. Mind you I am leveling only with warzones so that times some time so I'm level 16 now, please show me where my points should be at now, and where they should be at level 55 if you will. Also help me with rotations, Openers, second atk, etc. Also please give me any other advice that you want, I'm here to learn. Thanks, I hope this thread gets a lot of feedback. One more think, Biochem or cybertech? I read CT for more CC's ty

  21. Just wanted to say TY to Bioware and the Dev Team for SWTOR. It was a fun experience. The pve was boring imo but the PvP was great yet limited. I had fun thanks to an Awesome Freaking Guild. Those guys made the game for me really. So far everything you guys are doing on the PvP side looks great and imo you are headed in the right direction. A suggestion would be to reconize that PvP is the most enjoyable part of this game and you guys need to get 15+ more warzone maps asap. Server merges are also something that you should do tomorrow because the server I was on (infinity gate) was super dead. It was a fun game and TY again guys!!! May The Force Serve You Well, Skorn :sy_darkside: :sy_darkside:
