  1. We've had a lot of new FTP members joining over the last few months, and would encourage all new RPers to apply on our website. We are also continuing to look to collaborate with other guilds, and have an active affiliate program.
  2. Shared this on our RP forums, hopefully some of our members will be making their way towards your event. We also run an affiliate program, and are particularly looking to buddy up with other active guilds. If you think this is something you'd be interested in then drop us a bell on the affiliate forum @ our website.
  3. Thanks for your interest. To answer your question, it largely varies from writer to writer. All forms are accepted, with some having preference to shorter replies and others to longer replies, the likes of which are more akin to story telling. Personally I fall towards the latter, and I would say that we have numerous very strong and committed story tellers within the community.
  4. Axiom Roleplay is recruiting! A post to post community, our users generate ~3000 RP posts per week. We now have an in-game SWTOR branch which runs RP events on Jung Ma. Pravus Axiom has been around since early 2009 and since then has been setting the standard for Star Wars the Old Republic era roleplay in a way that is entirely unique - both in game and out. Our members RP as singular, original characters in group driven storylines and settings on our dedicated guild website which was voted in the "top ten best community websites" on Bioware's Star Wars the Old Republic official site. We are currently on the lookout for new members - but keep in mind that we're always looking for skilled forum role-players as well, so owning the Old Republic game is not a requirement - though it would be extremely helpful! So, if you're the type of person that loves Star Wars roleplay and loves meeting new people in a setting that promotes the free exchange of ideas, then I encourage you to seek us out! All interested SWTOR role-players are invited to join our forums at http://pravusaxiom.com/swtor/newforum May the Force be with you, friends - and may all your adventures be grand ones!
  5. Why a vanguard for ball carrying, and why shadow for off tank? Personally I would do away with the vanguard and take another shadow tank, far more useful as a ball carrier/snatcher... then switch out a gunslinger for any trooper DPS for grav shot spam.
  6. The answer to your question is on future content. They have at least 6 months worth of content fully voiced already; you don't think they would be able to push out new content every month without having planned and produced it in advance, would you? Any MMO vet can see that they have massive teams working on each aspect of the game. To have a massive patch including both new PvP and PvE content, along with itemisation changes, out the door in a month is either master planning or masterful development.
  7. I played darkness before it got buffed, and now that it is FOTM it pisses me off. There is now a tank under every rock on every server. The hilarious thing is that most of these are still bad and don't even use taunt.
  8. Would have preferred actually seeing you die more, there were some bits which were edited to really only show the 'best bits', and of course different music. Apart from that, it was quite good to see things from a madness perspective.
  9. I wouldn't sacrifice anything to do with shielding if you cannot push to 40% defense -at least- I was very, very skeptical tanking until I could push past 40% defense, and focused entirely on buffing my shields and HP until I could do so. Things will be difficult, but eventually it shall be worth it. Just make sure you know how to tank using an assassin and you should be ok.
  10. From what I could work out whilst I geared up my tank, they had you push shields first, perhaps because that is where we are strongest. Other tiers focus on defense, which fills in the shortcomings. By the time you start getting the current 'tier 3' gears you should be able to break the soft cap when popping your CDs, meaning that you start to have a reliable defense, especially when you can regen HP with lightning. Personally I didn't switch anything out, because I felt that the HP we got was high enough, and shields high enough also, for us to not really need to.
  11. The difference between a robe, cloak and skirt is most profound. They are not skirts. They are robes. Everyone who argues for the whole trousers thing doesn't seem to know the difference between articles of clothing.
  12. Xalek = Group tanking. Khem = Single target tanking. I would also like to point out that Xalek fully geared is just stupidly good with an assassin, and of course the more mobs the more he heals for.
  13. I think the best advice is to learn how to do it your self. Learn what works for you, just because you are a Sorc doesn't mean that your rotation shall be the same as someone else's. They may have different gear to you, or a different spec. It is best you just learn how to use the class like you want to learn it, not to copy others. This goes double for your UI binding. Honestly, if I told you how I bind my UI you may not like where some keys were. It is a very personal thing, just like play style.
  14. An augment will not make up for the total loss of stats you will suffer in choosing an orange saber over an epic tier 2/3 saber, unless Bioware allow for said sabers to be modified like armour will be able to in 1.2
