  1. I'm not sure if you can enter a HM FP solo, but you would not be able to solo it. Maybe if you and your companion were in full nightmare mode BiS gear you'd stand a chance, but I wouldn't bet on it.
  2. In a large software company like Bioware, Blizzard, Microsoft, Google, etc., developer and tester are two different positions with very different career progressions. Testers are the ones who ID the bugs, developers create new content and fix bugs based on what the testers tell them. I've interviewed for both positions, and the questions they ask and things they look for are very different. Also, I'm guessing that hard/nightmare mode bugs are lower priority than bugs that cause client crashes or UI issues due to the number of people affected. The bug that affects 200k people gets more attention than the one affecting 1000. With a finite number of testers and developers, that's the way it goes.
  3. I know how you feel. I have similar issues. That said, I would suggest soloing the some of the FPs once you reach 50. As for the ones you can't solo, just stick to normal modes and read up on the fights so you know what to do. If your anxiety is so severe that you really can't talk to people, you'll need professional help. Ask your doctor about psychiatrists and therapists in your area. An anxiety disorder isn't something a person can overcome on their own any more than they could overcome strep throat without antibiotics. A good therapist and the right medications can really make a difference. It takes hard work but the results are worth it. Ignore the people who tells you otherwise, they are ignorant.
  4. Let's hear the "technical explanation" then. What about Europe? One server for a region with several different languages? What time zone should that one server be? Should it be a PvP or PvE server? How about RP?
  5. Google and Facebook have massive data centers to handle the load. Each data center contains thousands of servers. A data center is basically a huge warehouse filled with servers. The load from searches, e-mail, etc., is distributed among thousands of servers. One server could not handle this. I'm a few credits away from a Computer Science Bachelor's, and this information is from professors whose entire life's work is research on solving these problems. WoW's servers are connected, how do you think they do cross-realm grouping? Also, what about time zone differences, names, regions? WoW has datacenters throughout the country to reduce latency. Or should everyone in NY connect to a server in California? For all you know, each server is actually one of several virtual machines on one physical machine. This is likely the case, many companies do this to save costs. No large company uses one server, you just think they do.

  7. The Sith seek to use their passion to gain power, but they fail. They end up as slaves to the dark side and their own passion. That's why they can win battle after battle, but still lose the war. The Jedi understand the Sith, but the Sith are incapable of truly understanding the Jedi. Things like mercy and compassion are so alien to the Sith mindset that they can't defend against them. Palpatine was one of the strongest dark side user who ever lived, and he was destroyed because it never occurred to him that a piece of Anakin still remained within Vader. It was Palpatine's own lack of vision that caused his downfall, his inability to understand a father's love for his child.
