  1. I take it Boarding Party and Foundry are the equivalent of Taral V and Maelstrom Prison. Aside from the difficulty balance and broken rage meters, it seems these 2 and their equivalents are the only Flashpoints worth anything in regards to quality and story. WEll and the first one you do at level 10, too.
  2. I never had a problem with this boss, though the flames took some getting used to.
  3. Tried to do this boss, we got through everything even the bonus... but eventually we couldn't do the DPS for it, tried the tactics in here but even though we were the same level he would just rage at 50% and then kill us at 25% usually, no matter what we did or didn't do with the droids. My team bailed and so I was left alone.
  4. We were assured Flashpoint was not a break from story but a unique way of putting a group through it. Are we so easily satisfied with a few bones thrown at us that we miss what quality really is when we saw it at the very beginning, and just focus on crap instead?
  5. So because they threw you a bone you're willing to ignore the fact and allow them to keep making terrible flashpoints that can't compare to the first one you do?
  6. If you think a few sentences equates a story than you haven't read anything beyond childrens books and even that is stretching it. The story was so basic, and so bare... it was pathetic. Quality story, like in Esseles is what we wanted. They can do it. They had minimal atmosphere, that's what you really mean by "it having story". --- Did no one do the horribly unrealistic (don't give me the "it's a game or it's Star Wars response, because that has realism as it defines itself in its lore and story) final boss with flames everywhere? OR the glitched areas that were constantly killing people with the fire? I'm sorry, but that thing was utter crap, and the actual drops for the Guardian were so ugly to look at I just deleted it after stripping the mods. Sorry, but I can't see how anyone could like that piece of crap compared to things like Esseles.
  7. The creators can't feasibly be surprised that a game from BioWare with STAR WARS and STORY is going to be "popular". Here's a good fact: Had the servers stayed, the issues would have been much less and the queue a lot shorter. Instead, they turned them off until release. That wasn't smart. Now, the queue is 400. 400! The only reason I stay on this server is because I met a good guy who is by far better than anyone else I've ever met online and I really enjoy his cordial behavior. Now.. now I have to wait for an hour all because of poor maintenance.
  8. No one agrees? When I played that it was dull, stupid, and a horrible experience. So many glitches, so many bugs, and so little content. The entirety of it was ****, as were the drops.
  9. Well, I have no intention of running FP's more than once, but sadly I never use any of the loot that drops because my mods are already better or the armor is just ugly to put on for a guardian (seriously we have the worst drop options) and so I just strip it. A few of my friends had off color rewards too.
  10. Our solution was to focus fire on all one at a time and leave the tank for last, so we went IA - BH - SI - SW. That mitigated the rage for the most part. Sadly, the gear never opened from the chest and we got nothing for it. We also died 4 times learning the mechanics of that one. It was good, but for a non endgame boss to have that many mechanics and style, that wasn't the best idea. Final boss was a lot easier. Lack of story too... a lot of potential for that one. Sigh. Two of us died with the warrior at the end sadly as he had this wicked choke he decided to keep using on the remaining DPS. --- Trooper healer --- Trooper vanguard off-tank. --- Jedi guardian dps off-tank (me) --- Jedi sentinel dps. No kiting or whatever that means, but I maintained taunt of the focused one.
  11. Sorry guys, but even if another game had a worse launch in terms of quality and stability... that doesn't mean that just because it's WoW it gets a free pass or that TOR is allowed to be the same without any rational thought with complaint against it. I wasn't seeing any problems until they shut it down before the midnight launch. I got back on instantly but the entire game was slow motion and things were crashing / disconning all over the place, even I was, and I had no problems up to the midnight launch during entire EA. This was a pretty poor mistake on their part, and they screwed the pooch with their choices in regards to the launch. You can argue it if you like and yeah maybe some games had it harder, but that's not an excuse when you buy a game with money with the assurance that it will "work".
  12. Personally it was just lackluster, had really no story to it, was an abomination including the random droid that does things randomly, the horrendously stupid elevator that takes forever to go anywhere, the rewards (gosh that armor was so horrible I just stripped it of mods because none of us could justify letting the guy wear the new heavy guardian armor (hint it sucks and only really 2 armor variants exist, a horribly stiff cape option that is not Jedi-like or a robe option with minimal anything (horrible choices...). I thought the Mandalorian Raiders was bad but that was actually more enjoyable and didn't have some stupid (not innovative or cool) mechanic about dodging fire (that did nothing to the boss and somehow kept launching from the same locations) while missiles launched. Worse, the fire would hurt you before the battle even started because of some glitch, and the door blocked our sage healer from getting in the first time... So far Esseles was the only actually cool one. Taral V is up next, hope you redeem yourself with that, but these are just utter CRAP! TOR is supposed to set itself apart via story, well the FP's are a great way to do that and they are just terrible. Even Athiss had a better mechanic with the flames, but essentially that one was lackluster too. And Hammer Station was just awful in terms of being boring and dull.
  13. The thing is that this entire thread has said Canderous is the place with Michiganders.
  14. I really really hoped to meet someone around my age that I'd be able to meet at a nice cigar bar or some such and get to know them and that way I'd have some friends that played that also had some interests... I think I may need to broaden my horizons.
