The rest of the MMO world is catering to boring lazy fast food type video game consumers. It's what ruined world of warcraft. Consumers demanded it turn into the McDonalds of MMOs. No challenge, everything is RIGHT NOW! , Dungeons became straight shots with a boss at every turn, no need for a world environment because you could insta warp to every important location. No need to read quests or get immersed in anything, or know anything about the lore or the story. Epic level loot handed out like candy cause I WANTZ MY PURPLEZ!

Wrong. I have never used anything other than doc. Learn to use your defensive cooldowns. I was just fighting on Voss last night and I can handle 4 regular mobs and a strong mob and still have 75-100% health at the end of the fight. The problem with this class is that you can't faceroll the keyboard like some of you were used to in World of McDonal....I mean World of Warcraft. It takes a bit of thought to know your priorities, know what abilities to use back to back, and how to use your rotation to keep focus at all times. Some people expect to jump into a fight and just repeatedly smash their Iwin button and then complain that they have no focus. Buy a Naga. Keybind all your abilities. Learn to prioritize your abilities. Use your defensive cooldowns, keep your companions well outfitted. Keep yourself well outfitted, and sentinel isn't hard at all.

The warcraft comparisons are getting old. Sentinel has very little in common with a rogue. The sun doesn't rise and set on world of warcraft.

Let me sum this thread up. Merc sucks No it doesn't My epeen is huge, my arena rating on a completely different game that has nothing to do with this game or its pvp environment is OVER 9000!!?!?! Powertech is better than Merc No it isn't The spec that I chose is superior to yours because I like it better and offer anecdotal evidence to validate my choice. You are completely doing it wrong then. I just tested my rotation, fought 3 mobs my same level, never had less than 4 focus, ended the fight with 7 focus and had almost full health with doc as my companion. First mob you force leap, the force sweep, then pommel strike. You should have a dead mob and if you don't your gear is probably underpowered. Next mob you start with Zealous Strike, then crippling throw + opportune strike and throw in a blade storm which takes 2 focus. Next mob start with master strike, and throw in blade rush. Finish the guy how ya want.

Wrong. Ataru more than makes up for it, and with a good healer cleansing dots your damage is moot.

There are extremes on both sides in this thread, and as usual, the truth is pretty much in the middle. The class isn't hopeless but playing as a combat sentinel, I feel like it is one of the weaker classes. I'm was 34 when I fought the harrower's or whatever their name was and while it was a green quest at that point, it was very difficult to complete. I wiped on the last harrower 3 times and was ready to pull my hair out. also I don't need to "learn to play". I have 10 years of warcraft, 5 years of AO, 2 years of RoM, 2 years of CoH, and a few other random mmo's under my belt. I have everything keybound, have a razer naga, use my interupts, keep stims with me, and use medpacs. I have played BH and smug. to the mid 20's and they are infinitely easier than Sentinel. TL; DR the class is due for a buff but nothing major. Just some tweaks to put it on par with the ranged classes.
