14 points balance and no Force in Balance? FAIL! 11 points in tele and no Telekinetic Wave is also fail. besides that the spec is ok until 1.2 arrives. just use geared theran with it and you are fine. just stay away from qyzen/tank companions in general, they just slow you down for saveness heal/balance hybrid spec with theran is also great for lvling, i also went this route back in december

what game/class do you play? definitely not sage tracerspam BH is the easiest class to beat 1vs1, try against pyro BHs. you can't rupt anything and the 3k crits still fly in like there is no tomorrow heal vs marauder? ***? are u kidding me? while you cast one ~2k non crit big heal, even skilled down to 2.5secs, the marauder will do like 3-6k dmg if you got 1vs3 situations, its: stun --> "trinket", stun/choke/knock down --> release. even with force armor up. since dots don't rupt capping anymore you can't defend **** alone too bad that the marauder with CDs up won't let you run away.

get rid of mr. lizard and use theran. that's what i did. get a pure dps spec, bubble yourself and go all in with aoe for normal/silver mob packs, use cc for elites

he is tk specc, so any decent melee > him i'm also having trouble since 1.1 but it's "just" a gear issue. was late at lvl 50 and had bad luck with bags, so i'm sitting on 3 pieces and only face full equipped premades now

nadia, simply for the fact that you can equip her with your old stuff. so she will always be your best equiped companion

1 big point for trooper also is that pretty much all their companions use the same gear as the trooper himself, so you can always give them your old stuff. while we have to wait until lvl ~44 to get a companion that uses light armor with willpower

11 seer is not the way to go, the hot heals next to nothing. you need at least 2/2 conveyance. also TK needs more points in it to shine, so not as hybrid friendly as balance, where you only need 16 points to get FiB and PoM I'm also going for some 21/2/16 build, not sure where to put the last 2 points. serenity, containment, inner strength and to a lesser extend confound all look kinda tasty on paper.

I just gave tharan a chance, with some orange weapons/armorparts and implants/etcs he's performing really well now. shield yourself, jump in, blast mobs, no need to heal myself or him. with some kiting you can solo most elites without losing health, great! I'll never go back to mr. lizard!

this is not a pvp game. reroll daoc if you want good pvp (aka rvr) or go back to wow if you want bad pvp

is anyone using this guy as main companion? I really hate Qyzen as he is slow, likes to break CC, still soaks up alot of dmg and only tanks one mob per pack. I'm playing quite offensively as balance sage and thinking abount using this Tharan mainly, lvl 30 atm. how viable is Tharan later on?

the game is brand new, don't ask people what they think is better. try it out yourself if you're still lvling and doing some pvp definitely give balance a chance. you don't have to spec the 1% healing talents

when you do all the quests and instances on the way you will be more like lvl 26 when you unlock him. he also does little dmg and his healing also feels week, so it was back to qyzen at least for me am I the only one who feels that we got shafted when if comes to compaions?
