  1. Not really. Care to count the number of times you've left match? Those of us that don't suck at it.
  2. You can slot 5 ships. If you can't present to the warfront with numerous builds for numerous instances of engagement, you don't really deserve to win.
  3. Hands down. Heavy/conc/proton is a very silly build to use in death match. You'll get owned.
  4. 1.) Booster recharge doesn't make you faster... it just lets you boost longer. So you're not going "faster" than anyone not using it. Unless you're constantly chasing targets, F3 is enough to boost to the various points around the map with your engine pool. You can further compensate for this by using regenerative thrusters if need be (though it's not really needed). 2.) If you're boosting so much around satellites that you some how manage to burn all of your boost pool, you're doing it wrong and you're probably not hugging close enough to the satellite to actually hold it. 3.) When you're "Getting farmed" (***, really?) you should be more concerned with quickly blowing them apart outside your spawn which overcharge blasters would help with. Using booster recharge to cover, what, 7k? That's just a waste seeing as getting farmed implies dying a lot, thus resetting the cool downs. 4. Stating that blaster overcharge is only good for "Chilling around a satellite popping people as they come in one by one" is hilariously wrong. That's not what it's good for at all. It's BEST used when tapping multiple targets thanks to A) its increased blaster pool regeneration and B) its increased damage/crit output, requiring fewer hits be made. So when I'm circling a satellite with multiple targets, I'm able to quickly refill my blaster pool when it gets low as well as eliminating them faster, enabling me to switch to F2 for shields and increased staying power without concern for blaster pool. You're looking at the ability completely wrong. I keep both builds on my sting/ocula and switch accordingly. In 12 v 12s with 8 baddie pugs on our team against 2 or 3 stacked premades on the other team that are going to go for control point domination because they can't go toe to toe in dog-fighting, blaster overcharge is blatantly superior for control point lock down. However, everyone's free to gimp themselves if they want.
  5. I found the dev post. It confirms gunships for tomorrow, but not bombers and the rest of that.
  6. This is kind of blatantly false. When you're not face stomping the competition like we're used to, and you're spending time on/around satellites defending and not able to move around much, booster recharge is absolute garbage and blaster overcharge is 1000x better. I've switched back to it on occasion for this purpose.
  7. I hope you're right about that, but I've been posting asking people for sources on this. I can't find anywhere from bioware that states you're getting a gunship tomorrow. I'm somewhat concerned people are making an awful lot of assumptions. Edit: Nevermind. I found the dev post confirming Gunships. Just not bombers and all that.
  8. Stupid question, but are we sure this comes out tomorrow? I haven't been able to find where it states "slated for release 1/14 or anything like that, and I've had a few people tell me this stuff is in testing for a February release. Anyone got a source stating when this come out to live servers?
  9. I'll start by clarifying that I think the Quell is a complete joke, honestly. That said, I use conc/protons with a "tank"/engine build for the ship itself. When people get close range, I simply barrel/burst away, turn real fast, and even against scouts can usually get a conc lock before they catch back up, all the while slamming them with heavies on their way in. I have to run the +ammo companion and extended magazines because I don't usually die at all and run out of missiles far too often. I use this as a gimmick ship though, in matches that I don't have to worry about being amazingly competitive in. If there's half way decent players in the match against us, I wouldn't be on a strike fighter anyways, and certainly not a quell. So to answer the OP's question, "What is this good for?", I'd say nothing competitive, just goofing around and missile boating.
  10. This. You're gonna get beaten like a red headed step child until you admit you suck and learn.
  11. I actually agree with this. However. I would want it as a toggle. Because I *********** love sitting back on my quell when we're playing the special olympics team and using my protons to lock them from 10k+ out only to hold it without firing. I take a shot every time I watch one of them slam in to something trying to evade the missile I'm not firing.
  12. I'm not disagreeing or anything, but I gotta ****in laugh at silents 300+ objective points. He wasn't hunting.
  13. You're one of those people that hears someone say "It's freezing out!" and immediately tell them "Actually it's 33, so not freezing.", aren't ya? But if you want to be serious, this is a terrible idea that will never occur because all it would do is cause longer respawn times. (If there's an animation associated, let alone a cutscene for it.) Furthermore, there's no point. Waste of coding time/energy. /thread
  14. Only if I can slam in to your body/corpse and see the gore/body parts fly out around my ship.
  15. Why would you make an entire thread to talk to yourself? The majority of active posters here are Pot5. We are discussing GSF with them, in the GSF forums. So, you're the "it's too loud, keep it down, it's so loud on the forums it hurts my eyes" type? Not sure you're Pot5 material anyways. Anything else I can do to keep you away? Lol. Obviously. You sure passed this one right by. Did you.. just.. try to compare gaming servers to iphones? In an extremely poorly worded manner that makes no sense? You wouldn't even survive gen chat on Pot5. You're not invited either. Sorry you all get so mad about us enjoying GSF on our server. I'm sure you'd understand if you could comprehend how much better/enjoyable it is.
  16. This is all mainly because bioware is kind of stupid and limited gunship roll outs. There's a ton of us with hundreds of thousands of fleet req just waiting for gunships now that we've maxed every other ship.
  17. Dude, I had 300k+ Fleet req saved. I built the entire loadout in like 2 minutes. Hilarity ensued.
  18. Yeah, that kind of happens when you go off replying without, you know, reading the thread.
  19. ^lmfao. Also, to whoever said they use this all the time, it's a godawful build for actually being competitive. Unless you're in a supremely better group, you're probably just hurting your team using it. We just use it to hose the minorities, err pubs, when we're bored because it's *********** hilarious.
  20. lol. While the hose IS hilarious, it's definitely no joke. Need a little peanut butter to go with that jelly?
