  1. So, I've been looking for it but can't find it. Is it so that there are no longer any Crit + Alac (insight) or Crit + Acc (Efficient) enhancements at lvl 65 anymore. Like all enhancements are now power + Alac/Acc/Crit?
  2. Agent here with the same problem, so yeah, it feels like a double loss for me.
  3. Is it possible to get some gear ratings in numbers please? Also the augments, I take it Reflex is preferred for the extra crit it gives?
  4. So besides the approach to the different specs, does anyone have any idea on how the diminishing returns have changed in 3.0? The commendation gear seems to have a lot of crit rating but did they change the soft cap for it? Also with the extra main stat percentages gone from the disciplines (9% extra aim, 6% extra willpower,...) will this make power augments more viable above the main stat ones? The percentage helped in bridging the small gap in bonus damage between the two but the bridge seems to have been burned.
  5. The luxurious rug (red) is only available with cartel market certificates, while the blue one is buyable with a universal prefab MK-1. Now, it's not rocket science that blue and red easily represent the colours of the Republic and the Empire (as seen in every logo or banner). Republic players will be more interested in buying the blue one and Empire players in the red one. It is my oppinion that the pricing is just unfair. Please add the luxurious rug (red) to the universal fabricator droid.
  6. So as someone who's returning to the PvP section of the game after many, many updates. Can anyone tell me how the current pvp balance is between the different classes? And how the balance is in arena's?
  7. Role neutral, bolstered levels, random objectives for different experiences every time and ofcourse my favorite, finally taking it up against the republic again instead of all the other 3rd parties. Consider me much interested and very enthousiastic. Can't wait to try this one out on basically every character I have.
  8. If you expected a good 2nd anniversary reward, you're at the wrong game. SWTOR is pretty bad at making the right decisions and giving the right rewards. They will never ever learn and they clearly don't care about what we say about them on the forums. F2P, preferred or sub, it doesn't matter what you are they only now care about cold, hard profit while in the first 6 months of the game, the player stood at the center. I've been playing this from the beginning and the faults BW made are to numerous to mention. BW if you want this game to last on the long term you'll have to start giving something back to the people. As of Galactic Starfighter, your latest gig. I'd have been happier if you waited 4 months and released it with 4 to 5 maps, the bomber included, possible space flashpoints and/or ops. You played your cards and it's getting dull for a lot of people already. Want to make this a memorable 2nd anniversary/life day. Make an event filled with sillyness and humor, bring out a specific festive armor set, only availble now and not again next year. Give out a new race especially for the 2nd anniversary. Work with a gift system. Try some good PR cause we all know you need it.
  9. It was the first bind to legacy gear in the game and was supposed to be for your alts when they hit a certain level. Though these have become absolete since there's tons of bind to legacy adaptive armour for lvl 10. And the conversion of planetbound planetary commendations to one type of commendations have made it easier to put armorings/mods/enhancements in these pieces of gear. So in other words, inheritance and birthright are a thing of eons past and still here to provide players with an extra look of gear.
  10. You mean the meaningless cosmetic updates and toys we use around 10 times and are then put in our bank because they don't really do anything at all. Not to mention the toys aren't that great at all even if we get them for free. I'm a sub since the start so this means by 60 day subscriptions i already spent a bit over 300€ on this game, not including the original purchase of the game. Now the first 6 months of the game were awesome for subs we got quite some stuff fast after eachother. They thanked us for actually putting money in this game. But then it stopped, the server populations declined, F2P and Cartel Market were introduced. Now don't get me wrong, subs definitely have perks, toys and titles are probably the worst examle to give. How about full crew skill access, no flashpoint, warzone, operation limit. Access to purple gear, more quickbars, and on and on. Yet, a smart person can go free to play and unlock every of those perks with the exception of toys and certain titles. All you need is a plan to make credits and you can buy it all from the gtn, it will cost you work but it'll mean you have full access to everything while paying 0 $/€/£ at all. That is what's wrong at the moment. And what about the mediocre content coming out. TOR started out great, it promised to provide you your personal star wars adventure where your decisions would shape you destiny. This proved mostly right even though some classes push you in a certain direction. So when the expansion was announced everyone was estatic, more class story wooohoo! Alas, it provided a singular storyline which is eaqual for everyone to follow, any previous accomplishments in the story line are not even mentioned. Your personal star wars saga is currently unimportant and quite non-existant for that matter. Content after that gets old quickly, some things worked well (I really like S&V, DF and DP) and some didn't (Gree event, Bounty Hunter event, reputation, the new ilum zone, achievements,...) So where is our sub money going to in the end? Even Galactic Starfighter isn't going to be that great and will quickly be forgotten by many, the potential it offers though is limitless. What is it we subs are really getting in the end? I sub because I still like some parts of this game, I like the people in it and I'm to lazy to spend to much time gathering my unlocks as a F2P. But what is it you're getting for it? As to go on topic, the probable reason why they're getting 30 additional days is when the game came out you also had 30 days with an original copy. Though it's true that this isn't fair to F2P players who have subbed in the past months or the subs who had to buy the original game to receive these original 30 days. But hey that's how BW and EA work these days, don't even think they listen to you by the way, because they don't. If they would, some things would have changed already.
  11. So out of all the amazing options you had with space flight, you choose pvp, which will probably still happen in a restricted space are or in other words a warzone in space. That of all the ideas mentioned is what seemed to be the winner to you. Don't get me wrong, I look forward to testing this and space pvp should defintely be in it. But what about any decent story, wasn't your game build on a pillar called story and didn't you promise players they were able to experience their own star wars adventure and pretty much build their own story? Some spoilers ahead about the classes. What is going on BW, we ask you for many things, some impossible but a lot defintely possible. Yet from all those amazing options you basically do a team cap raise to 12, make a bigger warzone map in space, and free flight is nothing more like moving your character on the ground and adding a down option. Do you really make notes about our posts on forums that you later discuss. Do you really even care about what we want? It seems to me that many ideas of the community are just thrown in the garbage can without even receiving a glance. I sincerely hope this new expansion will be more than just space warzones and actually add something significant to the great and wonderful storyline that is the Star Wars Universe. For those who disagree, please prove to me that BW isn't neglecting the personal class storylines.
  12. I'm sorry, just tried it again and they do stack, must have missed it in the few seconds window. So I retract above statement and confirm they stack.
  13. Just tested this with conquerer/underworld one, they do not stack. They can activate both but they do not stack. So if they both proc, one is wasted.
  14. The way it is now, class storylines are dead. You've reached the pinnacle with your character in almost every class (with the exception of a few) and it'll only go downhill from there. I'm one of those who bought this game for the story and I've long given up hope that I will meet the emperor with my SW or have an actual discussion in the dark council with my Inquisitor and plan the war or even command war assets as you supposedly do. It's pretty clear that the original 1 to 50 storylines were made by ambitious people who wanted to do more with it, and they were good even if some storylines had a few weak or predictable moments. Bioware's or EA's understanding of story is now a planetary quest line where you still slave your behind off and just get a handshake or a pat on the shoulder in the end and none the wiser. You just scratched the surface and everyone loves you and this and that but there's no real satisfaction in the end, no parade, no cheering, no drowds cheering your name. It's all fine when you play a modest type. But what's wrong with a crowd cowering in front of a warrior, a bunch of high officials kneeling for an inquisitor, troopers cheering on their major, etc... All of their promotional vids are flashy and heroic but there nothing of that past the original storyline anymore. Now ofcourse even in the original storyline there were faults, or so I think. I found the lack of impact from some of your choices annoying. Yes, there were some great choice moments with impact but a lot of the choices are either "good/bad" leave no room for anyone who wants to do it differently, and mostly the choices never last longer than 3 quests later where you're confronted with the result of your choice and you then permanently end it. There is no longer any YOU in the story, but THEM, US or WE. The galaxy, governments, political institutions, academies etc do no longer care what you did for them. Be it saving the faction or conquering the galaxy, you're just one of the many and the only reflection of your past accomplishments are things like; "My Lord.." "I've heard a great deal about you..." "OH my, it's you!!" but that's it. I'd love to hear some developper's reaction on this thread but I'm sure their answers will leave you with more questions than answers about this topic. Should they decide to actually give it another go, I sincerely hope they'll ask some feedback from the community, as in what would you like to do with your character? But for now, we'll have to wait and see, swallow some more dread master stuff and see what comes after that.
  15. As the title says, I'm in need of a crafter for this implant with accuracy, power. My ingame name is Zales.
  16. I'm pro changing it to auto-crit for snipe, ambush or takedown. But maybe a lesser CD than 3 minutes, somewhere between 1,5 and 2 minutes and a small energy cost of 5 to 10 energy?
  17. Bioware said it would be in the packs and it showed to be in the packs but it wasn't. That's their error. As soon as we paid cartel coins for the pack, they're obliged to give us a chance per pack to get that item. It's basically a simple contract. You don't go buy a tv and when they say, " oh sorry, we erroneously omitted a part that now makes the tv not work." just then say ok, that's fine. No, you bring it back and demand a new one. It's a purchase promise that we would have a chance and the only way to actually make up for it is by giving compensation. The compensation must be so that there's equally as much chance to get the table as there should have been from the start. So BW, you messed up, deal with it and give us what we deserve and quick if you could.

    Confessions

When I read my fantasy or science-fiction books or play my games, I always want to escape in them. For me it feels as if everything done in those fictious worlds, no matter how bleak, grimm and hopeless they might be, has a lot more meaning to it and matters more than anything I'd ever do in our world. As a consequence this has me spending a lot more time with reading, playing videogames, boardgames, miniature games and roleplaying games than I actually spend on my study. (Not that my study goes bad, it's actually pretty good, 4 semesters so far without any failure.) But it's what comes after that scares me, finding a job I want to do, one that gives me the feel that what I do means and matters and helps someone in this world and not just fill one's pockets with more money so that he can buy a new yaught. I'm also ashamed to admit my hobbies, being miniature wargaming, roleplaying and videogaming to any other person, when they ask I just idly say that I don't really do anything except occasionally hang out with friends.

  21. This. I thank you for the 500 CC's but did also expect something different. Since release you gave subs a title, a tauntaun pet (still loving it) and a free month of play (most generous, no need to repeat.........unless you feel like it). So I did expect something in that way as well. It's not about complaining about a free gift, it's appreciated by most. It's more the way they handled it, they made you think as if they'd make something specifically for subscribers, like the tauntaun pet at the time or the 'Founder' title. But in the end it was just a few clicks of a mouse to let the program send 500 extra CC's to all who stand as a currently active subscriber in BW's databases, that was the letdown to be honest. Still thank you for the coins (though if it had been 600 i'd have bought the cathar unlock ) and looking forward to 2.3 and the event (where's the rakghouls damn it, I want to explode near the gtn again . ) and to any other new content you'll bring out. It's good to know my money helps contributing to that goal. Also: Q: What are you plans to make subscribers feel like valued customers? A: We have heard this a lot, especially with patch 2.1. Subscribers are super important to us – a lot of you didn’t think so with patch 2.1. We are making efforts to make subscribers feel valued. In July, around weekend of July 4th, you will see subscriber only benefits. Near the end of July, we are going to do a similar thing. There's more coming, maybe that will be the expected cosmetic items.
  22. It might have been done before for reasons we don't know specifically but the question remains: Is it worth doing it here? You mentioned scenario's in WoW, that I would like to see here. I've played WAR when it was released and I loved the Public Quests where everyone can just jump in and join the fight and where your loot was awarded through a roll system but with a bonus depending on how much effort you put in defeating the Public Quest. I'd love to see such a thing come to TOR, either in the form of open Public Quests or like WoW with scenario's for which you queue up, and for all I care they may change the required number of people to 5/10/20/...
  23. So, when watching lots of the video's they upload to introduce new or upcoming content, such as nightmare modes for TFB andS&V and all the way back to the introduction of EC and events. I noticed that the classes shown running around in thue video are mostly (if not always) republic. Now this game has two sides, Republic and Empire. Why not have developpers, testers, chairmen, etc (no matter what role you fufill in the company)... of Bioware, of which I'm sure quite a lot also play SWTOR in their own time, create an 8 man republic team and 8 man imperial team. And let those go up against eachother once and a while. Make them face eachother in ranked wz's, compete on finishing an operations the quickest and so on. Maybe make it so that everyone plays a different advanced class. So, any thoughts for this? Would like to see a weekly report (for instance) where developpers(for instance) ttake up blasters and lightsabers against eachother?
  24. To be honest, I find this would take more work for no real benefit. I can see the advantage for dps classes as one extra means dps'ers will have to wait less time on a queue. But everything has been scaled down to groups of 4 people. Increasing this would require a whole change of everything. Ok, i'm not a programmer or anything so I have no idea how much work actually needs to be invested in such an endeavour. I have a dps, it's a long wait indeed but that's where the social bit of the game comes in a bit. It's not about just sitting and waiting for the queue but contacting people, using friends and guilds and maybe even that random stranger you meet to form up a 4 man group and go on a flashpoint, heroic, operation, etc... Also, they are testing out a neutral-role queue on the PTS so lets first see how that goes. If they can manage to introduce a neutral role queue up then no dps will be left behind anymore (except maybe with being the last 3 in the queue, tough luck then )
  25. So i've just started trying the hybrid spec on my sniper and so far I love it. I'm getting rid of all my crit rating but I wonder what augments you use? Do you still use skill augments or power ones to boost your bonus damage even more? I heard someone say that with hybrid you still use skill ones.
