  1. Yes, you do the bankers guild proud... hold the financial galaxy by the throat...
  2. Hey, don't you know that nerfing slicing is a game breaker???? the pvp problems are on the same level as the random npc toons shrinking. You need to get your priorities straight and understand the devs are all knowing and nerfed slicing because it would have caused catastrophic consequences that would have caused the game to implode upon itself. Just saying...
  3. The same reason that we keep the AH full of cash so crafters can make money while we buy their goods. NO MORE - sorry we got nerfed and the bank is closed lol! See what you do with your useless crafted stuff now
  4. No, it's doing what my Master (Kreia) would do: hold the galaxy by the throat. So all you people who cried that the slicers had too much money just oh so failed to realize that it IS US who keep the AH afloat by buying and supplying the money. Now, with all the QQing about this, we suffer. Now EVERYONE WILL SUFFER OUR FINANCIAL WRATH. Which brings another interesting point, what a pity we slicers can form a "banking guild" - so much potential...
  5. What you fail to realize is the fact that a nerf of this proportion has occured in the 1st week or so of release. This hurts the spirits of the ppl playing. Because of this, and if it's not fixed, all rare mats that are found via slicing WILL NOT be placed in game for others. I will keep them and pass them on to alts. And I would recommend other slicers do the same. That or place them on the AH for the max allowed. That and/or artificially inflate the AH. We have to send a message - that simple.
  6. Oh didn't you hear/read. BW is "aware" of the request for a LFG system and a GTN ui BUT as far as the devs are concerned, this has already been answred: in reference to a good LFG system: "We're aware of this desire, but we actually believe that finding others on the same planet as you encourages social interaction a bit more than a general 'group finder'. We're not saying it'll never, ever happen but again, not high priority right now." and as for a GTN ui: "There are more UI customization options coming, although they're a little way out." http://www.swtor.com/community/devtracker.php
  7. Ah now you're learning... see we splicers are the good guys We're the banks that keep everyone else afloat. Well, not anymore... you think the economic crash in America was bad, just wait and see what happens now in-game... no splicer funds to buy on ah, and sellers will have no customers. I see the Great Depression ah cumin...
  8. This kind of reminds me of the Sims game; I'm imagining all the toons here in SWTOR running around with red exclamation marks over their heads cuz of how upset they are lol! I'm upset too and I'll have my little red exclamation mark as well...
  9. Which is probably what happened on Ilum now: 1-2K boxes. What a waste. BW REALLY needs to fix this otherwise the whole financial market will go down the toilet. Slicers made tons of money slicing -> spent tons of money on ah for crafters crafted wares -> crafters now make money ==>> everyone makes/has money. NERF BAT FALLS and nobody has money. Well, I suppose after enough people complain or clog up BW's help tickets with complaints, they're bound to do something - unhappy players, especially in the first month, could result in diminished sub returns....
  10. Sorry, I have to call troll as well. Ilum is the ONLY place that had lock boxes that yielded, pre-nerf, 1-6k per box. Ilum is the lvl 50 world = highest rewards possible for MMO. All other lower lvl worlds would not turn out such ESPECIALLY after a nerf of this magnitude. Logic dictates this invalidating your claim.
  11. Uh no you can't - sorry As a slicer, I'm cutting off the rest of the people out here that caused this nerf. All schematics are going to my alts and I suggest the rest of you slicers out there to do the same; time to be Sith here and hold the financial community by the throat...
  12. The "magical land" (lol cute) is Ilum. The boxes out there, pre-nerf, had the chance to yield 1-6K apiece. Who knows now. One of the reasons I quit WoW was their incessant nerfing that just destroyed the game and Rift wasn't too far behind with that as well. I REALLY, REALLY hope that BW is not walking down that road It's not even a month and they're already rendered this skill absolutely useless. As a sidenote before anyone starts in, I picked up slicing after the nerf as a way to help supplement my other crafting skills cuz I'm constantly broke. Grabbing the slicing nodes in the field was a nice additional income to buy the overpriced stims. But oh well, I'm sure the rest of the game will get nerfed soon enough...
  13. I have a really simple answer to all of this. For Slicers, we can just gather nodes, and send on missions for schematics. If and when we get them - we keep them for our alts. That simple. Since we were nerfed hard, I think it's only fair for us to keep our stuff and give them to our alts and keep the market completely barren; I believe there are only certain schematics that we are privy to that others want/need Kreia once held the galaxy by the throat and I believe we should do the same financially... just a thought...
  14. OP has a valid point here. Why would I spend 2000 credits only to receive a 1400 credit return on a mission?? That makes no economic sense whatsoever. If they want to nerf, fine, they're goingt to nerf the entire game anyway - just a matter of time, but at least do it in a manner that makes sense and not just willy nilly.
  15. I 100% agree with this. Anytime nerfing of this level occurs SO early in the game, IT'S NOT EVEN OFFICIALLY A MONTH OUT YET, one tends to wonder what else the nerf bat is going to smash...? Sigh, WoW, Rift and now this... Just leave things alone already. I suggest the slicers just slice nodes, quest, etc... and don't buy anything off of the AH. Because of this nerf, now crafters will sell their goods for exponentially higher prices, ppl won't buy them because they will be too expensive and won't have the money for them. At least with the slicing, pre-nerf, slicers had money, they put it in the economy by buying off of the AH, crafters made money from their AH sales - everyone was happy, money was circulating - normal econ 101. Now nerf bat swings - slicing is just about, not entirely but close to it, worthless, people will be more frugle with their money, I'm not buying off of AH anymore, crafters will suffer. But that's just what happens when something artificial, i.e., nerf, is injected into an economy. But that's just my humble opinion...
  16. Meh... the nerf bat is out... first slicing then something else... I can see the pattern starting already. So early in the game and things are getting nerfed. WoW, Rift and now this... things should just be left as they are. So what if some ppl get 400K+ credits if they capitolized on it? I believe that is the nature of things in an economy - we have it here in the real world - if you're clever enough and know where to invest, you make money and if not, you don't. It's just very disparaging to start nerfing stuff in the game and it's not even a month out. But whatever, it's only my humble opinion.
  17. No - you didn't roflmmfao... Come one, there's a reason for lites on the starting areas if you haven't figured it out by now - duh, to prepare you for the rest of the game. Real games are all about thinking and strategy not just about creating macros to keep pressing to kill something. Hmmm... now there's a thought, I was wondering to myself yesterday as to why there aren't any macro builders here. Maybe that's why. But I too am guilty of using them as well: /g Hello /g or /p Gratz but that's really the extent of it - I like to group buttons and form strategies in my head how I'm going to kick the hell out of those guys taking the least bit of damage - that's fun but that's me...
  18. Funny enough, I was reading, lol, almost ALL the pages here. My take on this is this: I have to agree 100% with the OP for the very simple reason that from SWTOR's official website: Digital Deluxe Edition: These items are included as bonuses for the Digital Deluxe Edition. Flare Gun. The Flare Gun is a small cosmetic device that allows you to fire a particle flare high into the sky above your character’s head. Training Droid. A small but advanced piece of machinery, the Training Droid will hover by your side as you explore the galaxy. The Training Droid will also serve you in combat, marking your target with a particle effect that clearly identifies them as an enemy. HoloDancer. The HoloDancer allows you to take the party with you in your travels and can be deployed at almost any time by activating the HoloDancer and targeting the ground near your character. HoloCam. The HoloCam lets your character take high-resolution images of the countless wonders that they will discover on their journey across the galaxy. STAP. The STAP, or Single Trooper Aerial Platform, is a custom-skinned vehicle that you will be able to acquire at no cost to you. The vehicle itself will become available once your character gains the ability to pilot vehicles. This IS false advertising and illegal here in the states. Now, if BW comes out and says that they are going to give it a "fix" in a patch, then that is fine but and this is important, they have not, as of yet, even said anything to the community. In law, the issue to be addressed here is: the "letter." With the letter of the law, was anything blatantly abused or broken? Here yes - they said one thing and provided something else - breach of contract. For those of you who are saying, "stop whining" what did you expect. I say, I EXPECT the company, Bioware, to hold up their end of the contract and deliver what they promised. If you go to a store and see a stereo and buy it, bring home the box, unpack it and there's a brick inside, will you keep it or return it? It's the same thing - the principle was violated. We're examining the principle of what happened here. This of course creates what's called "buyer's remorse." And unless BW does something to remedy this, then I can guarantee, many people will think twice, about buying another product from them. 1) This is NOT the best way, from a business point of view, to keep customers; 2) The game just came out after HOW LONG OF A WAIT??? Come on, how about building a loyal client base and keeping everyone happy by delivering what you promised. The "silent treatment" is not a good political ploy. Me personally, I'm disappointed with this as well. As stated many times over by others who played Rift, we got "value" items when we signed up. Now, I can understand that this is a new game and maybe the devs haven't finished a lot of things in this area but say something and let your fans, who, by the way, pay a sub and keep you in business..., know that you are working on this and all will be good. Granted they are "fluff" but a little fluff makes peeps very happy and happy peeps = continued subs...
  19. Very happy with it so far. Last night my server was full and couldn't get on. So what. I went to another server and rolled a jedi - I'm sith on the other server. Rolled a jedi, found another nice guild and was lvling that toon up exploring the Republican side. I love the Star Wars Universe, so I like playing both sides to see what it looks like and how it's played over there. Combat is great and you get more confidence as a character as you mostly fight more than two mobs at a time and take them out. I think SWTOR is going to be here for a long time and may outlive WOW.
  20. Ok, so I know there are a lot of people here from WoW and I'm using this as a launch pad so you will understand the nature of the question. So you all know how we can see our toons on the WoW site and the alts that we created along with their names, stats, equipment, etc... I know that we can see the exact servers we have toons on but does anyone know if we can see the names of the toons that we have or BW hasn't set something like that up as of yet. Thanks
  21. Yep just saw it from one of the posters here. Seems like we can influence BW if we b*tch enough - this is good. Thanks for the info as I can't read all the new stuff coming out - busy at work and for all of those who posted rude remarks. How sad... You remind me of the people on the WoW or Rift boards. And to think that the SWTOR people here would be any different... Nope just more people who have nothing more to do than be mean to others and not offer help. But that's ok... I'm not on this board that much - thank god...
  22. HEY! Anyone else upset that we were lied to? Where's our grace period that we were promised? So what happens if we ordered online and we don't get the physical CE by the 20th? Sure, I'm playing in game now the early access and that's good. But if I don't get the physical key by the 20th I'm SOL. How is that a good business process? I think that after spending $160 we would be treated a little better by not being misled or lied to. The only other company I know of that does this is Blizzard Entertainment - I really hope that BW is not turning into them. Otherwise, I'm going back to Rift - they've NEVER broken a promise to their fan base - not that I remember.... By the way, all those of you who posted a rude and crass remark have been flagged for flaming. I'm not going to tolerate this on this board. So an admin should be paying you a visit soon...
  23. Hey, he shouldn't get banned this is good entertainment
