  1. As if a mark really means much, any good player knows what a healer is... Not to mention you can use the little targetting device tool that is sold on the social vendors. I use it ALL the time to mark targets in PvP. Its not a huge mark but they definitely stand out, and I scream to the PUG, "assist on the %%#%%# marked target"
  2. Not sure if youre serious. Dark Age of Camelot had a lot of lag in big fights when it came out, but within a few months (maybe 6 or so) it was awesome. Was easily able to fight 100s of people in relic sieges just fine with no lag. So yes, there IS an engine and engines out there that can handle it
  3. Sadly if the farming team goes first then youre stuck in round 2 as the attackers trying to down the first door until the game ends. They will still farm the noobs, but only if they are the attackers first. If they attack second then yes, all they have to do is go a hair further than the previous attackers
  4. The bioware strategy: 1. Texture 2. Use Hue/Saturation layer to change colors on gear 3. Profit
  5. Sadly as a Guardian all my armor looked the same from 1-50 basically. I went from wearing cloth pants and a shirt, to cloth skirt and vest, to cloth robe, and then cloth robe with hood. Ooooo Aaaaaahh. I also had the same visor that Jordie wore in Star Trek for 30 levels! They kept upgrading with stats sure, but only the darn colors would change lol Jordiehttp://2.bp.blogspot.com/_zsKZHYfIIHU/R9rW5i0rCBI/AAAAAAAAAAk/uNs1Zv5lleQ/s320/jordie.gif
  6. The armor designer is just pathetic to be honest. The armor looks silly, has no purpose and there is no concept of form following function. Its just random stuff placed around and calling it a day. Lets make big blades stick out! "totally! thats such a great idea! But we should add blades to the blades as well" Ive just honestly never seen such bad design good god! There is no feeling of "hey im getting better and looking more ****** as time goes on". Nope, instead you just look dumber and dumber and they utterly cheese the gear by just doing a texture swap. Its like really?? JUST a texture swap?
  7. Im on one of the servers that was touted as "the pvp server" on release and was one of the most packed ones for sure. Use to see 100-200+ and a few shards, now I see maybe 40ish people on fleet, no shards and everyone just stands still in the same spot, RIGHT in front of the pvp terminal with a few scattered near the bank and some at the GTN. I dont claim to know the server numbers, if the game is dying, etc But anecdotal evidence points to a substantial loss in numbers. Or hey, who knows maybe there is a display bug and its actually much more people than you think. Maybe people left the fleet and now hang out on planets, who knows. Maybe everyone is raiding. At the end of the day, we just dont know For me, the game has ALWAYS felt like a single player experience. I was on the biggest pvp server and I encountered ONE person in my whole 1-50 leveling experience. For a while I was constantly rotating my camera while exping and then I said to myself, "why? there is no one coming!". Bioware did their best to separate the two factions and essentially make sure that they never come into contact with each other. For flashpoints I was lucky I played with my brother and he sat next to me, otherwise flashpoints???? Good luck finding a group! They screwed the pooch by not making grouping much easier and friendlier. Lets face it, times have changed and any new game needs to have the ability to find people looking for group or group people up automatically if they want to do a flashpoint. Im not saying port people into the dungeon like WoW, but you NEED to be able to at least group and then meet somewhere. I tried to re-reoll and gave up, what is the point? Im going to do the same planets, same quests, and due to remaking now there is even less social interaction and even less groups. It just got old, and im sad because I waited for this game since about 2007 when I first heard about it.
  8. Happens to me too, force choke them in a one on one and i sit there holding my arm in mid air and they are running around me in circles taking damage but not stunned heh
  9. Happens to me ALL the time. I go to push someone back with my Guardian and the guy goes flying over me and lands flat on his back near the goal line. Drives me utterly insane
  10. Funny thing is casters and healers were probably the best players out of the lot. Having to constantly kite and constantly fake cast was essential. If casters and healers casted just fine in that game, Im sure this game will suffice just fine. The downside is that is raises the learning curve substantially and no one these days wants to think or play, they just want easy mode button spam, handouts and rewards even for losing.
  11. This reminds me of why I quit. I got tired of opening up champion bag over and over and over and getting NOTHING, yet my brother opens and gets gear. Its sad when youre Valot 52 have opened over 30 bags and got 2 items yet your brother is like valor 30 and has full champion
  12. Same ole smash rage spec videos. Nothing special, War Hero vs much lower opponents. Tired of gear making or breaking PvP experiences
  13. I laughed when I saw the Operative force choke, I said to myself "this will be the next wave of QQ posts"
  14. Coming from a game developer they dont need to make the walls higher, due to the fact that the walls themselves dont cause the collision. Whatever mesh collider they have in that area needs to be scaled upwards, and I would even do it through the roof for good measure.
  15. Having this exact same issue all of a sudden out of nowhere. It never happened before but it happens in the worse and most random times. Ill leap to someone, start to chase and BAM the camera flips out and point up and back so Im all disoriented and lost. Happens in PVE too every 10 minutes or so. I havent been able to understand why it does it, or even begin to replicate it
