  1. Easy, get rid of the roll in exchange for 8k auto critting thrermal grenades OR double wielding shotguns and a pet monkey.

Honestly though, give the dps trees some love in the defense department, or love in the snare department.

Your recommendations are pretty good though.

If there was ever a move that needed to be auto crit, it's shoot first. You can't spam it and its kind of iconic due to its Han reference. Could even give the roll a chance to let you use shoot first in combat in one of the trees.

  2. I'm a bit fed up of all the nerf calls for our roll. The thing is it is a bit overpowered as subject to abuse (mainly at the start of games). So sooner or later it is going to get nerfed, so I suggest we start comming up with genuine ideas for its re-implementation, before the devs use one of the ideas from the haters.

    Here is what I suggest.

Twelve second cooldown, no energy cost, rolls (teleports) twenty metres, not effected by snares. Gives us mobility similar to charge, can't be spammed, still unique for things like hutball.

What ideas do you guys have?

  3. You know, whatever babble you put up, the fact remains is that his team failed to take down two healers with six people (ok, not eight. My bad on that). Really, that is simply inexcusable. There's literally no excuse for that. Whatever method the two healers put up there is no frickin' way they can outheal the amount of damage coming from six.

Whatever you are speaking of is actually a totally different topic.

The topic here, is about suckage, plain and simple. I mean, come on, man? How in the world can you help making up excuses for a team that can't kill two healers with six people???

Leveled a scrapper scoundrel to specifically go after scoundrel healers. Whatever they do, I match, with higher damage. The only difference is how long -- in the end the results are same, without assitance, healers die.

Speak for yourself. You're the guy defending a cretin that claims he can't take out two healers with six people, because the healers are invincible.

Besides, I don't have to 'defend' anything -- of the 8 advanced classes playable in this game, not a single character I have went heals because I find healing boring. Instead, almost all of my characters, barring tanks and support classes, are specifically aimed at taking those healers down.

I kill them for a living, and rarely fail, unless I end up in a PuG that is lower than average in terms of pvp skill.

No sir, what I truly "defend", is the game, from stupidity.

More than any game type, PvP is directly related to one's ego. When you get crushed, or when you fail to fullfil an objective, anyone gets embarassed -- and the first reaction to avoid embarassment is to deny responsibility.

Here's a very funny, true incidient that happened to me yesterday. I was on the ramps near the enemy goal line in Hutt Ball. I saw our ball carrier first get stunned, and then with that stun he got full resolve. After a few secs later he started moving, fumbled all over, and then got just killed on the spot.

In disbelief and frustration, I typed a bit cynical message on the chat:

"Let me guess... couldn't find the pass button?"

    To my surprise, his answer was;

    "I couldn't pass. I was stunned."

    Yep. He lied through his teeth, just like that. I was watching the whole thing, and he just lied about his mistake. Normally, a simple "sorry, my bad" would have been enough for me to forget the whole thing. I was so disgusted, that I had to write;

"Please, don't lie. I saw the whole thing happen. You were out of the stun and had enough time to pass"

    ...his response was

    "Yeah, yeah. Sue me."

The moral of the story? The above line of reasoning is basically the exact same mindset people like you have.

To you people, everything is wrong. The system is imbalanced and out to get you. And it is never, ever you who make the mistake. How can you? You're all fine players who know how to play. So if something does not go your way, it must be the system that is screwing you, right?

    ...

Wrong. That's what my 'defense' is about.

So which 'top line PvPer' has commented that something was broken and imbalanced?

    You?

    The cretin?

It is already balanced. What you people are asking is to reshape things to your own image because you can't do what others can.

In other words, you want the concept of 'balance' to revolve around yourselves, to dumb the game down.

For a PvPer who has a lot of fun in working my arse off and thinking of tricks and techniques to take them smug healers down, you are asking to kill the thrill of the hunt.

    That is intolerable.

You clearly think you are much better than everybody else. You are massively at odds with your own sig. Get over yourself and people may agree with some of what you say.

On topic it takes three decent Dps to kill any two healers. More than that and they are bad players no doubt about it.

Scoundrels and ops are overpowered healers. There is no argument, they need tinning down and commandos need toning up. Would anyone defending them be happy to replace the scoundrel healers in their ranked team with commando healers? Would they heck.

That said any compotent Dps can neutralise any of the healers, I did not say kill, you don't need to do that, you just need to cut off the support they give.

Scoundrel/op healers will be balanced for arenas, so let people bury their heads in the sand for now. If they are not nerfed, every team will have one and then bio will finally see something in their metrics.

  4. the same can be said about ANY themepark MMO.

what do you do at XX (max level)

    outside of dailies.

not understanding where these players are getting the notion that there's an MMO out there with 7000 hours of unique content. by the way the human life span is under 7000 hours. its around 6000.

Dear god, I fear for the future of the world.

  5. Really, this must be a very bad design. However even in that case Partisan Cerulean Nova will do more single target dmg than matrix cube, not to mention 20% armor debuff on your target for increased proc dmg. On Op boss both relics will be the same.

It is indeed very badly designed. Isn't every new expertise workaround. I do find I parse higher with the cube, but that could be luck. If you get no procs, cube is definitely best, if you get lucky procs, then I don't know.

Can't be bothered to really test it out as I'm sure I get much more lag after allowing combat logging any using the parser, well after a few days of it anyway.

The latest PVP gear should always be the best thing for PVP, alas that does not seem to be understood by the devs.

  6. Yep. Cerulean Nova procs indeed for single target damage, but dont forget the additional expertise, power value on it. That will give u more boost than matrix cube. Disturbing that a lot of ppl out there are profoundly convinced of their lvl 50 ewh and matrix relics. In PvE these relics are no more BiS alrdy before 2.0

Are you totally sure about that. Using a matrix cube I'm still getting 2018 expertise, so no loss there. No power loss either, since I gain about 80 main stat. Seems to be random burst verses sustained damage increase.

  7. If you had been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like, I would use anyone even to go look more to decide as far as you been.

Wow I must be tired. That made literally no sense, what so ever to me.

  8. Anybody else noticed this, a fair few times lately I have been CC'd when I have literally 2 seconds before activated Hunkerdown. I am seeing no GS or Sniper about to have used smoke bomb. Even in the heat of battle my 23 secs (MM spec) immunity can not pass so quick that I cant get off a couple of moves, but that is exactly what is happening.

Anyone else noticed any lessening of the usefulness of Entrench/Hunkerdown?

  10. I suppose they could also make it so that everyone has a set amount of stats unless they are wearing pvp gear. The set amount of stats would be lower that partisan. This system would look at each piece of gear and if it was not partisan or conqueror, then it would set your stats to a certain level for that piece of gear. For example, if each piece of partisan gear gave 70 endurance (I'm just making up numbers here for the sake of the example, these are not what the current stats are) conqueror gave 80 endurance, then any piece of gear that was not partisan or conqueror would give 60 endurance. Now you have 14 pieces of gear that you can equip. If you have no pvp gear then your endurance from your gear would be 60 * 14 (840 endurance). Lets say you have half partisan, then you would have 60 * 7 + 70 * 7 (910 endurance). If you have 3 pieces of conqueror, 8 pieces partisan and 3 pieces of non pvp gear then you would have (60 * 3) + (70 * 8) + (80 * 3) = 980 endurance. This system would probably prevent a lot of bugs that are currently in the game (at least in my opinion)...

This is definitely the best solution. The only counter argument is, how does the system know to give Dps or tank stats? Which is easily sorted by the system looking at which tree you spent the most points in. Spend most points on the tank tree get tank stats, simples.

If you then want to choose specific stats or hybrid up your play style, then you are choosing to take PVP seriously and need to get the proper gear.

This system would work perfectly for casuals. No PVP gear (determined by gear having expertise), then you get 90% of the lowest level of current PVP gears stats. That can't be abused by raid gearing.

  11. The 55 hard mode flashpoints are fine. The problem is that they did not add any 55 storymode flashpoints to learn how to play in a group. It's all good and well saying run 50 had modes, but that is just not very initiative for any player comming from any other MMO. In all other mmo's all previous end game content is obsolete, so how would new players assume they should gear up and learn in 50 hm.

Luckily we are finally getting two 55 flashpoints that are not hm. That should help. Was incredibly lazy developing to release an expansion with no new non hm flashpoints, but I think we all know it was never intended as an expansion, until they decided to start gouging.

  12. I think you'd fid they would decrease the damage of it, probably by as much as 1/3 if it became auto crit. It'd be too easy to troll bads in regs, an they'd be vocal about it on the pvp forums.

Because its not possible to troll pugs with smash for larger numbers which are aoe?

If any class should ever have had auto crit it was ops on hidden strike. But as we don't use a light saber, it's somehow not appropriate, it's not like we are supposed to be a burst class or anything is it.

  13. not sure about that one. it will result in five people getting beaten down by eight attackers while three are doing nothing.

this should be more dynamic depending on the situation at hand.

Yeah 3 is definitely too many. Two is what we always aim for on our server. "Two at each door at all times, call early" gets said at the start of every game and it works very well.

  14. Is anyone else bothered by the fact that it doesn't fit in thematically? Why would, for example, an Imperial/Republic combatant be playing a Hutt sport?

Totally un PC but that's like saying why would Germans have played football in the trenches at Christmas. Cos sport is done for the sport of it, hence it's name.

  15. Unfortunately you just wasted your time. Anyone that comes to these forums wants to improve. The players that the information would be best for, will never seek out advice on how to improve, that's why they suck so bad.

    Sad but true.

  16. Just keep getting on and off your ship in fleet. That seems to be quickest way to get new crew skill lists. Also this method stops you driving your guildies mad with xxxx has logged on xxxx has logged off.

It is a piss take though, why should we have to do that. Just give us the full list of missions each time. It's not like we are gonna go "oh there's no rich metal quests, ill run a moderate one instead". It's a annoyance for no reason.

I had five slicers at one stage. My record for maximum reloads to get unsliceable and watching the watchdogs, was 17 reloads. Even with a SSHD that's a crazy amount of wasted time (was about 12 mins for just the one character).

  17. I would give them bonus experience and valour gain equal to 2% per legacy level. So 120% for legacy 10 and 200% for legacy 50. I would also give them the ability to turn off experience gain as a toggle (but make using it disable warzones for that player).
  18. While 2.0 was on pts I had made a thread about how snipers would be the new FOTM class, while some of you agreed with me many of you disagreed. Here is a picture of a game with 7 snipers. This is also to show that when a class becomes FOTM many players that reroll play very poorly and being that Bioware does class balance off of metrics the FOTM class gets buffed once again.

Thank you for world of snipers Mr. Peckenpaugh, world of smash wasn't annoying enough.

Erm, that that shows 7 agents, that is not the same as 7 snipers. Let me think what's that healer class that is overpowered at the moment, I'd expect to see lots of them levelling. Then add to that that many people level as Dps then spec heals at 55 and I suspect most of that 7 were operatives.

In level 55 wz they never became the fotm class that was expected ( they were always popular pre level cap ). I never see more than 2 on a side, quite often none at all. The cover system puts a lot off during levelling.
