  1. Can you please explain why when Bioware patches SWTOR, they tend to have some unexpected consequences? Also, please explain why the unscheduled patches cannot be done at a different time. You are knocking out a group of people twice a week during their primetime. Why can't you change the time if an unscheduled patch is required. I have tried to get an answer from customer service, but they have stated that it is out of their hands, there is nothing they can do.
  2. How about a planet that does not have 2 maintenance days in a week. That would be swell :):)
  3. I see your point Heavengate, i understand why they have to bring down the servers, now for the rest of the week they should not touch the 2am cst time for any reason. If they did all their patching correctly there should be no need for any other shutdowns, my complaint stems from the fact that if another emergency patch occurs, they use the 2am time slot. They should rotate the time for the emergency patches. I could care less if they are writing a program to take down the servers in waves. For the moment a HUMAN is the one controlling when they come down, i want that HUMAN to understand that it is not fair to take it down the same time multiple times during the week. Don't tell me that it will not change, it can change.
  4. This is the response i continually get from Bioware: Dear Tielee, All of us here on the Star Wars: The Old Republic team would like to thank you for your support, and let you know that we really appreciate your feedback regarding the maintenance conducted for the game every week. We're sorry to hear that this has been affecting you greatly. We would like to thank you for Bringing this matter to our attention. We understand that you might feel that there aren't enough developers giving feedback in the forums. But we would like to assure you that while our Developers may not post in every thread created there, they do read the forums on a regular basis, and are constantly looking for feedback from our players. To ensure that your ideas are seen by the right people we will be forwarding this to the relevant department, and we also recommend keeping your post in our Suggestion Box forum at http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=349 so that they can be seen by the Development team and read any discussion that arises from it. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience or misunderstandings that this may have caused, and to thank you again for the valuable feedback you have provided. Please do not hesitate to report any other issues you may encounter while playing. We are very lucky to have fans that share our enthusiasm for great games, and we hope that you will continue to enjoy yourself in Star Wars: The Old Republic!
  5. I agree with you completely. I have been sending comments to Bioware about this same problem. I am glad that someone at Bioware understands my situation, but how would you feel if you did not get a response from a person that can actually implement the ideas that we, customers, feel important to voice our opinions about. You state that i should just keep repeating myself in the forums, i do not agree with that idea. You can change the server shutdown time for a holiday, but you cannot give me an answer related to my question for the unscheduled maintenance that have been occuring frequently. Why is it so difficult for the person who makes the decision to do the server maintenance at which times to reply to my question. I called Bioware and was told that there is nothing Customer Service can do, it is the developers who determine the time. I sent my email in the hopes that a developer would answer my questions. I would even be willing to drive to Austin and sit down and talk to the developer who has the authority to implement this idea. I take my hit once a week, and by God it is time for other people to take this hit as well. I do not mean to sound rude or be forceful, i just feel passionate about this subject. I know there are other problems that the developers are working on in the game, i am greatful that they are fixing the issues and making the overall experience better than any other MMO i have played. But there is no coding or computer issues to fix here, it is a decision made by a human, so only a human, the one who makes the decisions, can answer my questions.
  6. Can Bioware please rotate the unscheduled maintenance times. I understand and agree with the downtime every Tuesday. I am glad that they fix issues in a timely manner. But, they have a scheduled downtime every Tuesday at 2 AM CST. Even if they would just move it over to 6 AM CST, that would be great. I would like to see the love spread around to everyone. I give my Tuesday for downtime, I feel that it is time for other people to give their time as well.
  7. Are you going to offer paid/free server transfers to all people. I play with friends that are eligible to move to the pacific servers, but we all want to play together. If you are going to offer the transfers, can you give a time when they will be available?
  8. I agree, i enjoy the game, granted there are a few bugs to squash, and a few things to iron out, but overall i think they are going in the right direction. BW may not respond to us, but at least they show they are listening to us. I say Kudos to the BW staff, keep it up. :
  9. Amen, for all those ppl that state just get over it, i have an idea, we will take our once a week 2am patch. No more complaints, but now BW has to patch at PM CST the rest of the week, now go through that for a month and see how it feels. I pay just like everyone else, so i say lets share the love for all the times, not just 2am
  10. I have a Radon 6950 2MB and a 3.3ghz i7, i have not had any freezes or crashes of any sort, so i am gonna say it is your machine. Reformat and reinstall, it is your only option to fix it
