  1. You know the developers of this game must really have no experience at all in the field. They don't listen to want fans want and even if they do develop something that fans asked for, Galactic Starfighter, they half-*** it in such a way that no one enjoys it at all. I know no developer will read this but I bet they think they would be great geniuses if they release the new raids' nightmare versions as their buffer to new content. No one is talking about new and upcoming content from Bioware. There was something on class changes and stuff in the Dev Tracker, but that's bread crumbs to me with the way Austin has balanced this game's classes. It's either going to break the spec or make the spec their is no actual 'balance'. So Bioware what is coming to the game that is actual 'good/playable NEW content'.
  2. MDPS!!!! MOST DAMAGE! REALLY?!?! SERIOUSLY!?!? Go look at the record board. Tell me about a powertech with most damage in a warzone. Tell me how many rage or DOT spaming specs are in the most dps and most damage. That was foolish for someone who did play that class at a high level and sadly eye opening that you would say that because every rage spec can gloat about how they still think they have any kind of skill and say, 'That was the OP spec.' and say they were the victims. ROFL! There is no comparison to a class that is good single, as in one, target damage to a class that is FLAT OUT STUPID AOE damage, plus a lot of follow up damage that reduces the cooldown on your smash. The powertech was good, true focus damage. The catch with a powertech is they can be your focus target and take all the damage you want them to, horrible cooldowns, and to add to it no utility compared to a juggernaut. As I said earlier the thing that pisses me off the most is that the people that keep saying I'm 'QQ'ing' or 'Complaining' are the people who consistently play the juggernaut as their main class. I know you, Myrmedon, mostly play Immortal. As someone who played the pyro powertech at a high level and as the skilled player you are. I consider you extremely foolish to actually say a powertech can't argue about smash or say they were 'king of the hill in the mdps' category. When I remember a few group chats along the lines of, "...all those smashers." Now you're back on your juggernaut, man charma's a ***** ain't it? I have no problem saying the powertech needed something nerfed. It was unbearable if the player was good enough. The thing that pisses me off the most is that players who have the class that everyone is and has been complaining about, juggernauts, have no valid argument on a topic where they aren't the victim. They have never been in the position of unplayable. The rage juggernaut can be argued that it actually got some buffs, literally, in 2.0. Where as the powertech can still do damage, but nobody dies. I can sincerely say that as someone who has despised the over abundance of cast times on the arsenal spec merc in pvp, because it is so easily counterable. I would take an arsenal spec'd merc into a ranked q every single day of the week over a powertech in 2.0. The powertech is unplayable from a kills per warzone and 'team help' standpoint compared to almost, no wait, every other dps class. I consider you a very good player but like you said, "....since 3 days before release...". If you switched right now to a powertech, and just for added taste kept it a secret class of yours, no one on this server would guess you were Scyn because they would think you would have been better than 'that'. It. Can't. Be. Played. Especially as the ranked player you are. You know better than to say every spec with every class, good player or not, can be played. "All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others."
  3. I remember ..... ummm ...... trollin' around. Quietly at first....then I started to pvp a little, habit got a little worse. Then I joined AOE and I mean what can ya say.... *Masisu Joins Vent* "Guys the most hilarious thing just happened in a flashpoint. So I kept face-pulling the mobs in The Foundry and we're at the mob right before Revan. The tank doesn't taunt, we still kill the group, and he says, 'Wow, so it is true about you guys then: *****holes or Elitests.' I replyed, 'Why thank you good sir!" *10 other people start laughing* *****holes or Elitests....will never get old.
  4. yeaaaaaaaa....about that.
  5. /signed If it isn't REMOVED....not just 'biofail fixed'. I'm gone June 1st.
  6. You sir, need to be smashed. How do you people think pvp is better in 2.0, it is horrible. Not only do they not nerf smash, they nerf the critical rating and now everyone will have to play smash in order to kill anyone. Along with how impossible operative healers are to kill. In all honesty I woudl be happy with a revert to 1.7. Just sayin'
  7. Your an idiot. I wish you were on my server so I could farm the hell out of you for thinking you know anything about pvp.
  8. I /sign everything he said. Pretty stupid how bad this game has gotten. The developers have got no clue where they're going with this game. He should have bolded the entire section about 'useless stat changes'.
  9. I swear there are monkeys programming this game. The glitches are horrible. Every new patch has a new glitch. The worst part is that it's visual stuff, things that if properly tested shouldn't happen on live servers.
  10. My comments were off topic as to your original argument and didn't have anything to do with your main point being pve, I appologize. I read this post and just came out of a warzone against scyn on my sniper which I was actually surprised at my 2nd place damage because I didn't feel I did ****. I switched to my jugg and guess what? Scyn again, (This time Desirra and Flux were with him. We won the one before so he had to go get them.) but this time I was on my jugg and I can see why so many people play this class, damage is just given to you. My final argument, and this is just one example, it takes 3 global cooldowns plus a three second cast for a cull to equal one smash, if the smash is two or more targets it just did more. It takes 2 global cooldowns, when you use enrage to grant shockwave, to equal one smash. Do the math. Call it "QQ" all you want it simply isn't fair to all the other 'unplayable' classes. Oh and by the way, saber reflect, will resist all the damage to the jugg and reflect it all back to the sniper. Cull + Reflect + Smash + Execute = Dead sniper. That being said arsenal is completely viable in...pve...but if a good player goes against anyone on an arsenal mercenary in pvp the mercenary gets rofl stomped (Unless electro net is up, but meh, it's a 3 minute cooldown.). Thats that I don't really care. I gave my two sense about what I know and if people want to troll whatever but the things I said have a legitmate argument and a lot of people know and agree they need to be adressed (Including mercenarys in pvp.). It's just the majority of players, sadly, commenting on this thread actually have mains that are juggernauts, rage spec. It's simple psychology, if you love something so much you'll do anything to keep it. Just like I'm pissed about my poweretech. I could be a really big *** to Deyvon but I'd like to make my own descision on leaving the game, not get banned. P.S. If you stopped at "....and another armor nerf after 2.0..." then you should go look at the spec again. "Hand of Darkness - Spike can now be used out of stealth mode." Pre-2.0 this also use to give a 20% increase to armor rating. I never said the assassin got a nerf, darkness got a pretty good buff actually. I have seen multiple assassins tank in 2.0 content, they take insane amounts of damage now even compared to before 2.0 content. Learn what your talking about before you comment dude.
  11. 70% isn't low enough since the average crit at 55 is 25% they would pretty much be at 100% chance anyway. I say just make it so only obliterate can have the 100% chance and not the charge and put on the spec that gives the 100% chance the effect, "the effect cannot occur more than once every 20 seconds."
  12. No jugg or gaurdian has any valid argument to say their class isn't overpowered. The class has never been nerfed to the the point of unplayable so no main jugg or gaurdian player can have the feeling that they miss their class, like almost every other class in this game has. As someone who was an assassin during the 1.2 nerf and now another armor nerf with 2.0, was a powertech pre-2.0, and now a sniper. There has always been a spec that has been playable on the jugg and the class has never experienced any of the nerfs or unplayabitliy that half the other class have. Focus isn't op? 100% chance to get a 5k+ on up to 5 players when every other class in the game gets a nerf to crit isn't op? The same exact trolls about that spec with just keep coming for that exact reason. I could care less about choke granting shockwave, etc. but seriously 100% chance to crit on anything post-2.0 is like finding a gold mine in your backyard. No surviveability? Guardian: A new ability, Saber Reflect, has been added. Saber Reflect reflects all direct, single target ranged, Force, and Tech damage back to the attacker for 3 seconds. This ability is trainable at level 51. I don't know where your getting nerfs to immortal, I looked at the patch notes there isn't anything that looks to make the spec unplayable, maybe a little nerf here and there but still the most optimal for pvp and pve as a main tank since the begining of the game.
  13. Imagine that now a Jugg can go do pve too...... I can honestly say I am sincerley tired of this class....it's like a 5 year old that goes to thier grandma's house and gets everthing they want. Bioware fixes and buffs everthing for the class, 2.0 comes everyone wanted a nerf to rage and we got one...and hoestly a fair nerf too. Besides the 100% chance to still crit, but thats a pvp topic. Then you look at the other classes nothing but the already played specs got buffed....lethality on the operative still doesn't cull enough, this might be biast since I have a sniper and realize how good this spec really is. Arsenal mercs got a good buff, but thats the only thing still optimal for the class. Powertech got a nerf, this is underexagerating, it may just be the worst class in the game now:(. I swear Biofail's employees only play warriors because they see whats wrong and then get everything they ask for, fairly. P.S. And I've been putting this in every forum post I post. I quit as of June 1, 2013 if TTK and bolster isn't fixed, I don't really care about the class thing. After playing this game for a year and a half I realize how bad Biofail is at class balancing. I have seven 50s so choosing the juggernaut (my new word for 'overpowered') class isn't hard for me.
  14. Yea I made a Nano-Infused Alacrity adrenal on my sniper and used it. No alacrity gear on and no spec (engineer spec'd) with alacrity. All of that 675 alacrity decreased my cast time and global cooldown by 10% and increased my energy regen. by 0.6 per second. USELESS! I won't even put it on my healers, it just doesn't make any sense anymore. With sorcs really being the only healer to utilize it anyway, the decreased cast time to innervate and instant revivication makes it completely useless.
  15. The annoying thing to me is that not only do they buff the hell out of the sorc and make hybrid specs even more capable than before. They nerf the only good assassin dps tree in madness. By removing the increased damage to thrash and not allowing any kind of proc for our maul the spec is completely useless.... Bioware's class balancing team just needs to jump off a cliff.
  16. I would like a majority vote of these players ("most of the players"), and at different intervals of the year ("most of the time"), to find out if the fan's questions and problems have been fixed. Quite positive it will be in my favor. I have no clue what your trying to say here it makes no sense. Don't use commas like that, it's hard on my profound use of the English language. I'm actually not just trolling and for that matter a very good player. I read all the patch notes and actively pay attention to the developer tracker. and
  17. I said in the first paragragh it was of "my own opinion". I believe some of it has a great argument, especially the part about the lack of an expansion pack....the PTS section. If you wanna' troll go right ahead I have no care. But don't knock me if I already stated and accept that this is my opinion and never called anything in it pure fact. I don't even think I used the word "fact" in the enitire article.
  18. The below comments are for Bioware and EA and not intended to entwine any other players into the belief and sadness this game has led me too. The comments are of my own opinion and are how I think this game should be run and what it should be turned into, even though for the latter it may already be too late for. As I am trying to give this a good argument I both doubt, but do hope a developer reads this and am trying to keep myself from going off on tangents of 'trolling' and keeping from the use of derogatory terms or phrases. Who runs this game? Who is the lead designer/producer for Star Wars: The Old Republic? I could easily go look this up but I don't think it's worth the time or effort to uncover the sadness I can already expect. He's probably young, which seems like what every designer for Bioware is, and has no experience being on a successful game team in the small amount of game design experience he has had; therefore has no clue how to head the design of something as large as a game in the MMO genre let alone with the title "Star Wars" with the reputation and fan expectation that precedes it. It seems like this game has no passion from anyone at Bioware. I wonder if anyone at Bioware is even a Star Wars fan because the lack of 'common sense' in the 'Star Wars Design' of this game. It makes me wonder what the job qualifications are for being on the team that is creating the very lack-luster project that is Star Wars: The Old Republic. I would bet 1 million dollars that I don't have that more than 50% of the head developers of this game, the people that sit at 'the big table' and make the 'big decisions', don't have any kind of computer related degree or for that matter have a degree that relates to any kind of creativity or some form of design. I would guess most of them are business majors (God help us all.), economics, or even psychology majors. Someone heading the team that is creating this game needs to stand up in a meeting at 'the big table' and ask, "Are we doing this right?". "Fans don't boo nobodies." --Reggie Jackson The line above is kind of awkward. I'm not complimenting Bioware with it either, it's directed at the title of the game, in the genre, that you (Bioware) thought you could fulfill with the simple idea of story. Something I don't think a lot of the people employed by Bioware and on the team leading this game realize is that this 'game' isn't a game for you, it's your job. The fans that keep playing your game determine whether or not you receive a paycheck. Listening to your fans is the first step to succeeding in the gaming community. This paragraph alone is all any 'successful' game developer should need to continue reading the rest of my arguments. “Inspiration is a guest that does not willingly visit the lazy.” ― Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky It may seem there may not be an argument, just my own judgment and opinion stated here, but one of which will probably be agreed to by a mass majority of the players that play this game. Hopefully, and I apologize if not, the developers of this game had parents. Have your parents ever told you that sweeping the dirt under the rug is 'half-assing' it and lazy? Just for the sake of an argument have you ever saw something done 'half-assed' or someone doing something in a lazy manner? With 2.0 you added a feature that has been asked for well over the necessary amount of time that it hasn't been in the game. Resizing buffs and debuffs. But that’s just it that is all you can do, resize them. It is not only the laziest implementation I have ever seen it is one of the most 'half-assed' ways of fixing something in the history of even be able to use the word 'fix' to describe it. Not only does it make it worse if you make them large, it makes the content harder if you make them small. In pvp if I increase the size all I can seem to look at is the giant red and yellow debuffs with my medals. You don’t even give the option to completely remove the buffs from being shown. To add to the laziness since the game was developed each class has had three skill trees. Cool! Why are there shared trees? Why does the assassin have madness? Since you made it completely useless in 2.0, why is it even there? The pyrotech mercenary, no comment. The lethality operative is arguable one of the worst DPS specs in the game, still. Now for rage on the marauder, it’s an art form to play this class, you can do better than the repetitive, boring rotation that is rage. "Failing a test makes you better; failing it again makes you a failure." What does the Player Test Server (PTS) do? What the hell is it used for? To see how many current subscribers you still have interested in the game and determine how soon new content should be released. That’s my current thought on it. It can't be to actually fix anything. There is no way a company wouldn't put 70% of their new expansion (Referring to the planet of Makeb.) on a PTS and expect a good player reaction when it is put out on live servers. Not only is this the worst expansion ever but I’m still waiting on the actual expansion. Hear me out, it takes a player roughly five to eight hours to complete Makeb based on your play style. The dailies on Makeb not only are extremely boring and long by the time you’re done you haven’t made much more than Ilum and the Black Hole and it’s time to go to bed and you missed your raid night. Whoever the incompetent idiot was that created the time commitment that is the GSI dailies, needs to be slapped. The saddest part is that the people willing to actually do these missions are the only reason this game has any form of existence. Pvp is well, ruined. With both the useless change to alacrity, I still won’t use a point of this on any of my characters, and the nerf to critical and tank statistics has not only made the game extremely annoying to have to figure out how to gear it has ruined pvp TTK, but most of that is to blame on the enormous increase players get to damage versus other players with expertise. Pve, well where is the content? TFB isn’t new, nor are the re-hashed flashpoints. Scum and Villainy hardmode was already cleared on the PTS (Waits on nightmare TFB.) there is no progression content in this game. Arkanian was a useless tier that should have never been implemented for the content that was already there shouldn’t have been remade just to add a new tier of gear. So when does the real expansion come out? ”Fidelity – the virtue of knowing this is around is all the more likely you are about to be betrayed.” Isn’t that quote just amazing. Imagine your strolling up the ramp of a huttball on your pyrotech powertech and you see your first target and start to do your rotation and wait, what’s wrong, nothing is happening. Where is my critical chance? Why does my combustible gas cylinder do no damage? What the heck happened to thermal detonator? Well hey at least they gave me the buffs to last long enough to still realize I can’t do anything. I mean what do the pvp developers for this game need to get them to understand class balancing? The critical nerf alone was enough for the powertech and to add thermal detonator to that just makes the class’s old concept of best burst literally turn into no burst at all. I’ll go on, add the buffs that healers got in this game and you make the ‘old’ pyrotech powertech’s burst healable let alone do both. Sith warriors love it though. The juggernaut now has all three specs equally playable in any range of the content in this game with the buff to vengeance and even with the critical nerf to every other class they keep 100% critical chance to smash. The marauder now has arguably the hardest time just choosing which spec to raid or pvp with. Do I kill things efficiently, fast, or a lot of things really fast (Annihilation, Carnage, and Rage.)? Great, whatever this giant mistake ridden thing you guys define as an expansion is, Bioware. In the end this just a long shot prayer to kick the developers in the *** a little and fix this game. It’s a joke how bad this game is now, not only do I doubt anything gets fixed, I bet you see the exact same effect this summer as you did the spring after the game released with people cancelling their subscriptions. I cancel mine as of June 1, 2013 if TTK in pvp isn’t fixed.
  19. Yea but I'll admit this is my first MMO. I never touched WoW or Guild Wars. The closest thing I came to a MMO was Runescape. I learned from someone named "Prototype" on Vrook Lamar. I sucked....ASSS! I didn't know the ability 'deflection' on my assassin was a buff:eek:. I mean you have to remeber F2P came in like October I think, don't know if that is right, but anyway players havn't had the experience of going against other classes and the opportunity to play some alts and learn the ropes for themselves. Teaching people the basics is the first step. I mean is it hard to teach a new assassin how to solo gaurd on civil war? No. It's relatively simple, if you get into the nitty gritty they need to know there class, but they just have to be able to hold long enough for help. It would be pretty epic to see a random player you never heard of come into a civil war and be able to hold the node alone till help arrived without him standing on the turret and getting ninja'd. Just telling them to wonder around, not stand in one place, and if someone trys to cap 'mes' them and call 'inc #'. You could add sugar and cherry on top if you tell them the assassin tanking spec for dps geared players. (Wow I learned how to play an assassin well!) How hard is that to say to someone? It really isn't, in my opinion. P.S. I really was serious in my privious post about those videos. If anyone wants to do that sometime I'd be up for it. I can Fraps.
  20. Yea I've considered this myself. If we got one or two veteran players of each class we could get some pretty good knowledge around about the basics of pvp. I mean honestly it isn't hard it would take all of 10-15min to explain simple and some complex things about each warzone and then you can teach them the basics of their class. The veteren players could even go as far as to make epic, descriptive, and easy to understand videos for each class and post them on youtube and link them here on the forums. Explaining their best uses, specs, and even that classes weaknesses. I say we do it. In the end do you have more fun winning a 600 - 0 three cap in civil war or would you rather see awsome games go to 10 - 0 and have the epic win. It would be woth the time in the end.
  21. 69% Is the best statistical chance you can have. In everything....
  22. Well I since noticed your guys' post for the petition of combining all the APAC servers, since it seems to be what you all want I hope you get that. Otherwise welcome to Bergen Colony. Hopefully you all stay even if the transfer to the North American server happens and hopefully Bioware recognizes the latency issues for pvp and raiding from that kind of distance and fixes this somehow before the actual transfer. Again, Welcome! P.S. Hopefully there are some more Imp side pvp'ers and raiders.
