That part is not meant to appeal to subscribers, it's meant to appeal to FTP's that don't have RotHC yet. Not everything has to be directly marketed at you.

They were released Tuesday, so they should have only been hitting the gtn some time yesterday. It's not surprising you haven't seen them on gtn yet. But if they're so desireable then people will definitely buy them and resell them for a good profit.

While it's true that he also wants the rare ones unlocked, everyone (including the necromancer) mentions purchased speeders. Which are all available from collections. But yes, agreed that the earned things should not be unlocked in collections. "I agree but then that would take away from the CM. I have the same speeder on four of my toons and I got them from the CM or GTN. They won't change something that's going to make them money." "I'd pay to have my rare or purchased mounts available to unlock across multiple toons."

What makes it even worse is that with the collections system you can already do this. Is he still playing a version of the game from over a year ago?

Possible? Yes. Extremely expensive and will never happen? Also yes. While it's possible with today's technology, it would require a much more expensive server architecture. EDIT: Not to mention, those loooooong streets with miles and miles of homes that you can walk into would be mostly empty.
