  1. He doesn't do anything spy-like though. Anyone could say "Horizon guard, be careful!".
  2. That's not true-if it were I could kill Theron and Lana. I hate pet NPCs and EA's obsession with them, from Liara to Leliana to Lana.
  3. It's another gimmick to hopefully (in EA's view) distract players from yet another helping of cutscenes and trash fights (unless you want to play Veteran with forced companions with low influence and appaerntly barely survive each of those same trash mobs).
  4. My Knight refused because 'only Sith deal in absolutes". Funny how I got the achievement "Level 70 Trooper" if Troopers don't exist anymore.
  5. Maybe if they had kept it to 100 levels players would be a bit more accepting, but tripling the number of levels (thereby putting tier 3 that much further out) PLUS the RNG lottery?
  6. Good thing those chapters were so easy then, right?
  7. I'm sure it's not a bug-you have to truly prove you are worthy of wielding a cosmetic shell in the 5.0 galaxy.
  8. Slogging through Chapter 8 now- so far my companions have been Lana, Theron, Koth, Vette, and the sparkly new Sith Empress. Jorgan-my rank 50 squadmate who I JUST FREAKING SAW in the cutscene? He apparently wouldn't be of any use to me. After being the sidekick on the 'Lana & Theron Show" I'm actually surprised they bothered to bring back anyone in Failed Expansion- Kaliyo, Gault, and the rest took up time that could have been better spent on the newer companions.
  9. Were players forced to use substandard equipment due to a 'story consideration' by EA?
  10. Or they can craft mods and at worst lose some armor in order to keep their set bonus. Why engage in this RNG lottery at all?
  11. Really? To me it's the same skytrooper trash mobs with a couple of 'gimmicks' thrown in. So far it's even less engaging than Failed Expansion was.
  12. So it's the Republic's fault that she was born a slave and bounced around Imperial/Hutt space? Smugglers break the law and still side with the Republic- a bloated bureaucracy is better for crime than a murderous theocracy. I don't see her as loving a government that looks at her as lesser, fit only to 'serve' or be punished/killed.
  13. What is the purpose of the trainer now anyway? "Go learn free abilties, even though a number of abilities simply appear on your quickbar as you level". It's right up there with requiring an item mod station to add augment kits, even though they are obsolete for everything else.
  14. Why am I stuck with Lana and Theron each step of the way so far? Why wouldn't Jorgan be available for my Trooper (esp on Voss-a presumably military operation), or Vette for my Sith? What the hell are they doing, redecorating the War Room? Is this some sort of reward to those who were willing to grind influence for the 'new kids' instead of using their original companions?
  15. In other words it's a 'ranged need not apply' fight? Whee, that'll be fun. I really appreciate EA taking away my stockstrike even more now!
  16. Why do you assume that Arcann is so interesting that he needs this level of plot armor? Third time I've clicked 'KILL HIM' and the writer goes 'nope lawl'.
  17. Why take my Sith and put him in a clunky walker (a gimmick that Blizzard did far better EIGHT YEARS AGO-can EA do anything without copying the competition)? Slow reaction times (apparently Mandalorians love delays on their ordnance-no AoE blasters for them!) and a feeling of being stung to death by bees is hardly conducive to maintaining the different 'feels' for classes.
  18. How about instead of getting a paycheck your boss decides to have everyone play "Slot Machine" instead. You might get a big payout, you might get nothing. Would it be reasonable to object to this system without trying it out for a few weeks?
  19. In other words they are still tinkering with their RNG system and have no idea what the results will be?
  20. Only if you want to put a lot of characters through the story-otherwise it might last a day or two.
  21. So it's reasonable that players were allowed to farm tens if not hundreds of millions over the past year, but new players (that EA is apparently thinking will magically appear on starting planets after the next film) won't be allowed that same luxury? I didn't even do the heroics some weeks and still racked up over 40 million in the past 3 months. Reminds me of players farming Ilum turrets for valor (or Ilum's slicing nodes when credits were actually hard to come by). If you didn't get yours then it sucks to be you!
  22. A little late for that isn't it? They might as well accept that they borked their game's economy years ago, just like they might as well accept that there will never be some massive influx of new players just because they saw a movie.
  23. Why not? What is the fun in killing static mobs? With level sync players don't even get the satisfaction of seeing low-level mobs melt and big numbers float across the screen. How is killing trash from point A to point B, then having to kill it again from point B back to point A due to respawn timers make the game better (instead of merely dragging out playtime)? Does killing seemingly endless waves of skytroopers (with the occasional knight) make Failed Empire and Eternal Cutscenes any better?
  24. 1.) To craft unmoddable gear (or mods without a set bonus) a player needs to learn the schematic (hope RNG is kind to you) AND earn conquest points (for unmoddable gear) or run operations and/or (presumably ranked) PVP (for mods without a set bonus)- aka forced grouping. Apparently this is not merely for tier 3 gear, but even the lowly tier 1 will require random schematic drops? 2). To earn gear with a set bonus a player can run heroics or repeat the exciting storyline-aka solo content. Do I have this right? Set gear is easier to obtain (if more random) while crafted gear and mods require group content, even though that same content is also the means of gaining 'command xp' even faster than the soloer, which suggests that EA is going back to the "raiders deserve to have a lock on crafting for a few months, even when they don't need it due to their 'command gear' coming at an accelerated rate"?
