  1. rofl this must be a troll post. dpsers are so spoilt. The bad ones just wanna faceroll and expect to kill things. Its not enough they get a massive boost to dps from expertise but asking for there to be a healer limit? Awwww...did Bioware not coddle you enough? Did they not give you enough dps boosts yet? Still need more help? At some point, look in the mirror and you might noticed an unskilled, undergeared rubbish dpser. Because personally I don't know any top dpsers who complain about wanting a healer limit. And yeah I do rateds with some of the top dpsers on my server.
  2. i've felt the frustration especially as a healer but what do you hope to achieve in this thread? I've given up hope on Bioware reading forums for customer feedback. I've seen em screw things up over and over and over. I've unsubbed and when my time runs out I won't even be back in F2P. If Bioware wants to kill itself by my guest. But if you're hoping for changes to make pvp fair and balanced again, you're better off looking for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
  3. wonder if the original poster made the very same sorta thread about sorc healers when they could carry teams with their healing OR merc healers who were near invincible because of all their defensive cooldowns pre-healing nerfs/dmg buffs. Was the original poster then arguing for operative healers when they were piss weak? You see buddy...theres always going to be one class that is slightly above the rest. And then a patch fixes it and another class becomes OP. These sorta threads will keep on coming and coming because ...Bioware just plain sucks at balance. Heck its the same with PTs or marauders or snipers...To put up a thread because you find it hard to kill an op healer doesn't mean its hard for anyone else. Just like every other class, once you focus the target with lets say 2 powertechs and a marauder, that target dummy is going to die pretty damn quick with or without a guard and all those "OP" skills.
  4. as such im wondering if anyone else has come across this. and i doubt noone queued up or came in to fill it out because it was peak hours where there were roughly 3 fleets with about 200 peeps on each. that said its not one i've seen often. its my second time seeing this since the 1.3 patch so it doesnt happen too often i guess.
  5. http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/3397/screenshot2012073110060.jpg theres the screenshot. as you can see a 7 vs 8 with a guy right at the bottom making up the 9th for the other team with zero stats (likely not in the game as we never saw him) and preventing someone else from joinin to fill the 8th spot on our side. This was regulars not rateds.
  6. nope checked the final scoreboard unless it was wrong too
  7. went into a regular warzone novare coast, game started out 7 versus 8 and stayed that way the entire game through. This was during peak hours where alot of people were queueing up. And because bioware says they fixed the bug which used to not show a person, it was definitely 7 versus 8 the whole game through. So at the end of the game I look at the warzone scoreboard and turns out the other team had nine people. One person disconnected or something but was shown as a member of the other team. His stats were all zeroes. So is there possibly a bug where somehow that person's character took a slot even though he wasn't in the game or had disconnected from the game, thereby preventing anyone else from joining and thus a 7vs8 occurs?
  8. while i would love pvp to be about skill rather than GEAR, GLITCHES and UNBALANCED CLASSES, i think we both know that isnt happening. Everything from the /stuck bug to stacking PTs and ensuring that plenty of other class specs are absolutely unviable....pvp is more than just a gear problem. However lets say somehow everything works and it becomes about skill. What then is the reward for being more skilled than another? This is after all a theme-park type game not a sandbox. The point of the game is to reward you for achieveing a certain objective hence the mouse-cheese comparisons. So what would the rewards be then for being skilled?
  9. something needs to be done although i dont necessarily agree with the OP. But something has to be done. its stupid that something as simple as this is once again affecting warzones. Bioware just can't get pvp right at all.
  10. i've been in many 1 node cap situations before and i detest the fact that a carnage marauder's predation can simply dictate the outcome of a match from the start. ideally it shouldnt have to be about a single node but its hard to see the EoTS method working because then teams with more healers and tanks can simply overrun a node and win it just like how you hate a tank and healer being able to hold out long enough. Put enough tanks and healers on attack and they'll get the node simply by being there.
  11. agreed with this post. the rewards are rubbish, the ranking is merely cosmetic. many top pvp guilds on my server have quit for GW2. alot of the lesser geared teams dont' bother queueing up anymore. I did about ten rated warzones today and I met the same team 4 times in a row while in the other 6 matches I met a team twice. So all in all I met 4 teams all day long. Plus queues are getting slower and slower so ten queue pops actually take sometime. Roughly a coupla hours which is all that most usually spend playing this game. All in all, I say its going downhill pretty quickly. My subscription ends soon and I'm not really seeing a reason to come back since all I do is pvp and when that is becoming slowly extinct in itself, theres nothing left for me to do in SWTOR.
  12. hybrid sorcs are in demand. those who can dps and throw bubbles constantly can definitely be of great use to their teams. even sorc healers are still very good in pvp if they have a guard on them. I've seen many top healers being sorcs as long as they can stay alive.
  13. plenty of teams run hybrid tanks. I can safely say that my team carries two hybrid tanks at all times. Yes its boring but they are need to guard nodes because they can survive long enough in one on ones and their guards are probably one of the most important things for any rated team. Tanks are far from unwanted. In fact its hard to find a good tank who can guard and still put out decent damage in a hybrid spec.
  14. 1. Taunt could use a fix but its hardly the problem. 2. Cross server queues may happen but it doesn't change the fact that populations are dying. Even if they did happen it wouldn't stop the bleeding. Players are leaving more and more by the day hence the reason why rated warzones are dying too. So even if cross server queues happen it may not change anything other than putting a temporary band aid on a wound that has a bigger problem behind it. 3. Class balance has always been an issue in every game. The minute they buff Ops and Mercs again, a whole buncha people will QQ about them being OP. The minute they nerf PTs and marauders, people will QQ about the nerfs or whine about some other class being OP. I mean we talk about OP healing being too good but then people forget that for so long, OP healing was absolute rubbish compared to sorc heals for pvp. Thats not to say that sorc heals have gottent hat much worse but it has been affected by the lack of survivability. And that in a way is an example of one class being OP before, another getting buffed and no balance was found. So the whines came again. 4. If we queued for what we want, we might never get queue pops. Simply because many teams would stack certainly classes and simply avoid warzones that their group comps aren't good at. I hate VS too...intensely. But then with the population of servers dying and less teams queuein up for rateds...i can't afford to be picky about my opponents. 5. I'd love a beneficial set bonus. Bioware has ignored it for so long for many classes. Some set bonuses are just outright rubbish. So thats a good idea but bioware has never taken good ideas until its too late. Server merges were brought up months before and it took them so long to see that it was needed. 6. Yeah world pvp is needed but christ bioware sucked at it. Ilum was a lag fest and it wasn't true world pvp. It was simply a spam fest with back and forths. World pvp needs to be better than simply having a 100 on 100 spamming the crap out of everything. Plus there is no encouragement to do world pvp since they took out the quests for it. So yeah would love to see world pvp come back but I doubt its happening. 7. Huttball made no sense to me. Star wars is about a galactic fight for survival. Not carrying a stupid ball around. Yes new warzones but even though my team excels at Huttball...I see no way in which it fits into a star wars type warzone.
