I would suggest just give them the feedback they asked for and not argue with each other. Each side seems to be taking this a bit far. To me it doesn't matter one way or the other as the only thing that concerns me is how it affects me and my boyfriend's style and we have dismissed a companion if we thought it was too easy for us but we would never tell someone else how to play and I don't get why others need to do that .

I do believe you have over done the healing aspect of the companions somewhat. I do not think they need to be to the point they were before but some adjustment should be done. I do have a few concerns about Makeb and especially the one with the puzzles. Those should be tuned a bit differently though I love the puzzles but those that solo could have a hard time. The problem with a poll only the ones that come to the forums and the ones that even participate in a poll would do that. Polls have been around since launch and people try to always say this or that about a poll when it never truly represents the individuals who never come to the forums. In my guild there are only two people that come to the forums, myself and another friend. The rest of my guild relies on us to let them know what is going on. Neither of us participate in polls as we find them a waste of time and never really adequately represents anyone. They hate the forums due to the environment and the fact no matter what it is happening there is someone complaining so my friend and I get the information and pass it on. None of my guild is quitting due to this. We have dealt with other things as well and just learn to adapt. Trying to judge something by the forums is never an adequate view as most people will not come to the forums.

Not leaving. Haven't left since launch, why would I now? I tried the companions not that big deal to me when I did black hole this morning. I have learned to adjust to different things that they have done. I still not happy with the pvp aspect of a companion but I learn to adjust.

If the player is a new player he/she would not know about how the companions were before and maybe they would just play because they are having fun. It is not the new players that will have problems with the companions now, it is the players that have been playing with them and don't like the change. For me doesn't matter either way I can and have adjusted to a number of things they have done since launch.

I am far from the best player but I haven't had any trouble doing the plant heroics and my gear is mixed with 192/208/216 and Koth is only influence 19. I did some this morning starting with the heroic 2 in black suns as that is my testing one to see how the companions perform . I am a dps shadow and Koth is set for healing. I play made 2-4 hours twice a week so I would consider myself casual.

Yes it it. I used Koth (influence 19) and I am a dps shadow with a mixture of 192/208/216 and was able to solo the heroic in black sun.

Just tested this on my dps Shadow in the heroic on the black hole. My companion died once. I did not. I have a mixture of gear 192/208/216 and never once used my heroic moment. Yes it may be a little more challenging and you have to play smart but with the no repair costs (which I just noticed) it is not that big of a deal to me.

Depends on what heroic you are talking about. My best friend soloed the heroic 2 in black hole with her dps companions with only one time the companion dying as she didn't pay attention to what her companion was doing. Her companion is influence 21 and she is a medic. She said it took a few extra minutes but that that bad. She has a mixture of gear of 208/216 right now. She never used her heroic moment in the black hole heroic.

One question, Have you notice the buff bars for the companions only last 1 minute now.

My patching was fine. The problem I show is all servers are still offline. My patching went through with no problems.

Which comes out to $.50 a day so the most they would need to refund anyone for the 1 day missed so far is $.50 not the entire $15.00 which is for a whole month. $15.00 / 30 days = $.50

I am talking about the companion quest in the new expansion not the quest on your class quest. The ones you have to do to get Qyzen, Lokin and those from the new expansion. I.E. If you don't want Qyzen you can't reject him but if you want to get Lokin you have to do Qyzen whether he fits with your character or not. There are some sith companions that don't fit with my shadow but I can't reject them if I want to move past that one for a companion I may want.

While you are making companion changes, how about making some changes on about allowing us to reject a companion if we dont' want the companion, dont' like a particular mssion, etc so we are not locked out of another one.

There is an achievement in the new heroic that you have to solo to get. If it is not able to be soloed then the achievement should not be there. I run things mostly with my boyfriend but at the moment he is in basic so I doing things solo until he can play and was considering doing the heroic for the achievement but if it is not able to be done then people will feel that bioware put in an achievement that cannot be done.

Actually it doesn't. There should be a way to reject any companion we don't want and therefore not lock them behind the gates if you don't do the mission. There will be some that just don't fit with my shadow but with no rejection I have to do them and take them whether or not I want them. So it should have a way to reject them and therefore not lock the content or take a companion you don't want. I know people who wanted to reject Qyzen as he didn't fit with their character but couldn't. So yes there are people that would like a reject for a companion they don't want but dont' want to be locked from another one.

Eric, I would suggest that this discussion not be done at 5:00 which is normally the time you post the patch notes but that it is done earlier than that and when you are going to make changes like this you should actually do the communication a bit sooner than the day before a patch.

Are you sure everyone, that was complaining about not nerfing a companion, has been here since launch or before 4.0? Some of them could be new subs that wasn't here before.

No, I tried. I chose every option that wasn't trying to recruit him and still I have to do the pvp. I honestly wanted to reject him as I do not pvp so was hoping for a way to reject him so I didn't have to do the pvp in order not to be locked behind this.

And considering the mission for Lokin required you to do the one for Qyzen before you got the alert, the chances are pretty good for the same thing to happen and knowing bioware........

No thank you. I do not decorate my boyfriend and my stronghold for someone to come in to attack it.
