I searched for this under various combinations of covered escape, 56, 57, and scatter bombs, and didn't find anything, so here I go. If you have a link to an old answer, please share it. So, I play engineering, and I just hit level 56, unlocking scatter bombs in the discipline path. Unfortunately, I won't be able to used said bombs until 57, when I get covered escape. I know this wasn't always the case, they shuffled things around, it's just one level, and it doesn't take much to go from 56 to 57 these days, but come on guys, really? Unusable scatter bombs?

So, on PoT5, certain guilds are crashing GSF matches by suiciding in order to end them as quickly as possible, to yield the minimum time spent for a decent conquest yield. Lots of fun. We love our path of least resistance, don't we? How about suicides no longer count toward kill count in tdm GSF?

No, we did not get rewards. We killed them, they killed us, the battles took place in probably 10 different locations, at least, and it was a freakin blast. Your outlook is way off here. You will have the option of switching your primary in-game language to German or French any time you like, throwing English out the door. Personally, I'd expect forum warriors to strive for fluency in Mando'a, so that patch should be coming up.

I'm downloading German and French patches at a snail's pace. My account clearly details that I'm in Southern California, and as such, I learned Spanish as a second language. Forcing those of us who will never sniff a European server to download German and French preferences utilizes a rather broad brush-stroke. Why wasn't I asked whether I would like German/French language options? This is stuff that will have zero bearing on my gameplay, going forward. Thanks for the delay.

I fought that one guy in that one place, and bro, he didn't even lift. So they killed us, but then we killed them, so the logical move was to run to the forum to talk about it. So yeah, when we killed them, we felt like we were pro, and the whole world (meaning Harbinger) needed to know that we were mega pro in that moment. So, yeah, seriously. Pro. The class is still viable for pvp. Dpsers are finding success with tactics-based builds, as well as a few hybrid builds. Those details can be found on the class forum sections. Full assault spec is lacking a bit atm, since they took the claws away from Assault Plastique, which is the capstone ability. If you ever get the urge to tank for pvp, the shield tree is pretty strong nowadays as well. Best of luck!

I queue solo when life affords me the time to play, and I have no other option. I queue with a group when I'm fortunate enough to find some folks who will have me along. I will always push my pace regardless of the circumstances... play your game, the people on the opposite side don't determine your standards or level of effort. If they do control that aspect of your gameplay, then you've already lost, and you need to spend more time in the kiddie pool.

They should call the ability Field Justice, and Sylvester Stallone should voice the Judge Dredd aspect of it. I'm a fan.

It's a tough thing, pvping as a pug, knowing you will very likely encounter a better comp that will test your side's gameplay. The successful enemy didn't exactly get born into teamwork and solid group composition - it's something that came about from trial and error, and sometimes making sacrifices in the form of running a second choice spec that benefited the whole more than your personal palette. I've played vanguard as my main since beta, but have swapped to other classes/specs that better fit the needs of the groups I tend to run with, and have suffered less aggravation,in the form of imbalanced matches with respect to critical non-dps classes, as a result. Look at your wins and losses with an equally critical eye - is there a way you can help the group by playing your class differently, or even running a different class? Joining a group activity while dismissing your responsibility to complement/supplement the group is ignoring what it is to successfully participate in any mmo activity. Be a good teammate.

I'm well aware that this is still the squishiest dps class, and I managed decent damage in spite of the attention, out-performing the sentinels on my team, if memory serves, though the gunslinger out-damaged me by a fair bit. I don't keep screenshots and study them for forum fact-finding missions, but dishing 800k+ while taking 800k+ as the easy kill dpser isn't too bad.

No, though the attention I received from them implies I'm some sort of challenge. Given the damage I received in these matches, the imps didn't get the memo. Assault Vanguard got nerfed, and I should be the least of their concerns.

They didn't nerf me, they presented new challenges that I'll overcome.
