  1. I've already stated my feelings about Supreme Chancellor Saresh and the simple fact she is even Supreme Chancellor is laughable, at best. You have two choices on her rise to power; bad writing, or she has some very powerful backers (possibly sith) helping her.
  2. While the game time doesn't reflect it, you're an Apprentice for several months to a year before you are given the title of Lord. Remember several months go by for each Chapter.
  3. He might have wanted power, but your approximation of Malgus character is flawed. All Sith want power. Any Sith saying they don't is a liar. Even the light sided Sith want power. But saying that Malgus didn't want a noble goal? That part is pretty much error, as even Darth Marr even states that Malgus ideals were noble ones, and ultimately right.
  4. Npo he isn't. He led a parade? Ok, tell me what he looks like? He led imperial forces in countless battles? Tell me, which ones? You say he is the face of the Empire, yet at the end of SOR he is talking like he is just now deciding he should make that move. He is a FACELESS, quite literally, entity. We know nothing about him, we don't even know the battles he was in. But what about Malgus? I bet people can tell you the majority of battlefields he's fought in, we can see what he looks like, we know his face. His victories are a matter of public record, where as Darth Marr's are not. So seriously, no, he is not a publicly known individual, he looks like any other Darth to the common layman and even Imperial soldiers. He doesn't stand out, and at best people might know he is on the Dark Council. I like Darth Marr, but I also know he is a faceless individual given all of Malgus lines now because they went ahead and removed Darth Malgus from the equation, in one of the most monumental blunders ever. The Marr we had at the end of our characters arcs is not the same Marr we deal with in Hutt Cartel or Shadows of Revan. This is the lines Malgus should have had but because they've "killed" Malgus off, they completely shifted that role into Marr's hands.
  5. You would be hard pressed to convince anyone outside of the Dark Council of that. Again, this is public versus someone who tends to be behind closed doors. And politically, Malgus also had the upper hand.
  6. I blame the coup on the crap *** writing to be honest. Everything seemingly was set up in the vanilla game as if TOR wasn't going to succeed so went out of their way to have the Empire decimated and crippled by games end, story wise at least, and only leaving enough of a carrot for expansions if the game actually went anywhere. To be blunt, the entire Empire was written into a corner and getting them out of it is looking to be a feat that won't be resolved for some time to come. Malgus should have never fallen and even if he returns he will probably be returned as some revenge happy mongrel that goes "Rawr, Smash!" more than the savvy warrior with bigger dreams for the Empire. I know I am not the only one that would have preferred to join Malgus coup.
  7. You must not look around if you believe that.
  8. Never under estimate the power of a famous war hero, and Darth Malgus was quite famous. Doesn't take much to look through history to see that war heroes often get elected and placed in places of power after major wars. Compare this to Darth Marr, a relatively faceless (and yes, he is faceless even if he is cool as hell) person that only the upper echelon even talk to, while Malgus has actually communicated with underlings and subordinates. Malgus has always made his feelings clear that rejecting other races and not being united leads to ruin. In the end, if there was an election, even though I like Marr, Malgus would have most likely won that by a land slide. The people of the Empire know who Malgus is, know he is a highly decorated war hero, and has earned his title as Darth. Not to mention, it's foolish to sit there and say that Malgus would have no political savvy. he was able to convince quite a number of people to join him as him as Emperor, so I think his political power is quite stronger than people give him credit for.
  9. Orgis Din. Gnost Dural. Couple of others I can't remember the name of, off the top of my head. And no, Theron wasn't a secret. It was a widely known fact. I mean seriously, you think Jedi and anyone can't add two and two together to figure out, "that hey wait a moment, Satele and Theron have the same last name?" Only the gullible actually believe that Theron was a secret because if he was it was the worst kept secret in the order.
  10. Basically, as I said. His coup was just ill timed, coming hot on the heels of Baras own coup.
  11. Hard core? You really think it's hard core when it takes practically no time now, as is, to reach level cap? Seriously, if you need an IWIN button, then MMOs are never for you.
  12. This thread has become amusing now as people will sit back and only quote EU sources when it suits them for the Jedi but absolutely dismiss them when it concerns the Sith. So, I get called a hypocrite, but the person doing that is being extra hypocritical. As far as Satele's look, determination is one thing, it's still a blatant fact, she didn't kill any of those Sith that she just did her bad martial arts against. And it's pretty damn obvious, that once again, she was overpowered by Malgus in the fight. Again, it's always hilarious when a named Jedi can break the rules and get away with it, and nepotism is the only reason that Satele is the Grandmaster. Especially when there are Jedi that are better suited to the role of Grandmaster.
  13. DCUO is alive and kicking well, on the PS4. As far as the PC version, well, it's still there but it gets ported updates from the console, so yea, a lot of it is going to be limited based on what a console can do. As far as the level 30 cap, the games a gear grind once you hit level 30. Combat Rating is a laughable sham there.
  14. A hero is not singularly good or evil, or related to a faction. I guarantee you, in every war you check out in history, both sides had heroes. Even the Axis powers had their heroes. It wasn't just the Allies pumping them out. Just like in the Star Wars universe, there will be heroes on both sides. the definition of hero is basically a man or woman in the face of danger or adversity.
  15. No, that's just lazy writing. This is why I am puzzled everytime people play the same class more than once just to experience the story from the different alignment angle. I am always going why? The story is the exact same very little changes except how the dialog is given in the end.
