  1. Yeah what he said. This operative nerf was to hidden strike, acid blade, and jarring strike. It's stuff you don't get access to until lvl 36. If there are differences in operative base damage I'm sure they will be reported soon. But it could have just been you fighting against higher level people with better armor (reduced damage) or that you were fighting people with shields up etc. PVP has too many variables like level, powers, toggles, stances, armor type/level,skill spec, shields, and just the roll of the dice to consistently give you meaningful data on this. I'm not saying there wasn't an overall nerf but I will check tonight and repost if my non-hidden strike and acid blade related combos are off in PVE.
  2. The one from Hammer Station has purple shoulder pads, it still looks good on some characters (like Chiss). There's also one with red pips (possibly red shoulder pads) that looks like that ones worn by some people on Taris. That one I'm told is available from the Balmora heroics (one gives the shirt, the other gives the pants, white pants I believe). Neither of these have the rope, but both have the bandolier.
  3. I had the exact same issue last night with her stance on. She wasn't engaging targets I was fighting, she wasn't pulling aggro (I think her aggro radius may have been decreased?). Her tanking stance was on and she was not in passive. I toggled the passive and that seemed to correct it mid fight. Yet another lovely feature of Kaliyo tanking.
  4. I feel your pain. Kaliyo gets really squishy once you get to Alderaan. Your best option as a concealment operative is to keep Kaliyo geared really well. Get or make heavy armor oranges for her and just realize she is going to die a lot. It gets better later (no spoilers here), but it is incredibly frustrating and easy to feel like the black sheep class. She will still die fairly often (especially to elites with ads) but you should be able to kill most elites and groups of ads with a well geared Kaliyo. Also remember to use evasion and your shield probe skill once you get it. That will help a lot. Last, when she dies don't resurrect her. Just dismiss her and resummon. Rez takes like 3-4 seconds and then healing takes another 10. Dismiss and rez is like 2.
  5. I'm definitely of the camp that thinks Kaliyo sucks and putting all of your high end gear on your companion shoudn't be how a companion should work. But everything being said here is completely subjective as there's no combat log or data output we can use to actually analyze and compare between companions and playstyles. And come on, you beat a single +3 gold end elite at lvl 30 so you think all Kaliyo concerns or issues are invalid or irrelevant for the next 5 or so planets and 20 levels? I'm glad you don't design games.
  6. I submitted this as a bug in game, but Kaliyo start's sucking as a tank one you hit Alderaan. I could tank more than she could. Now that I'm on Tarus she's doing better (in the exact same armor, different gun). I don't know if that's a bug but I've seen enough posts on it to mention it.
  7. It's additive and works with sprint. With all 3 points into that skill you can run without sprint almost full speed while stealthed, and with sprint on you run just slightly slower than you do uncloaked with sprint on.
  8. I *think* you need a skill from the medic tree to get your TA back from a kolto injection? Keeping TA's up isn't too bad from what I've done. Bosses with KB and AoE's or ones that move over their fire drones or land mines are a pain as an op. But to echo what someone else said, Ops are a thinking class, not a button mashing class. We have to work a little harder at getting the most out of our abilities.
  9. If you are an operative (concealment spec here), you can stand right on top of him and stab the living hell out of him. The fight felt epic until the bug kicked in, then it just got annoying. I completed it first try but it wasn't as awesome as I was hoping because of the bug. But still a great twist in the story!
  10. I'm extremely happy with this game, but this is a story based MMO so the plot twists should be concealed as best as possible. I'm talking specifically about the quest ****SPOILER AHEAD**** ...Kill Zash. This is a quest on a the Imperial starter planet of Dromund Kaas but it's a lvl 30-ish quest and the closure to chapter 1 of the Sith Inquisitor storyline. While playing my juggernaut last night some inquisitor kept spamming for help with the Kill Zash quest. Meaning every lvl 10 inquisitor just found out what happens after 20 levels of serving her. I only partially blame the person (and several others who have asked for help on this quest). But it's really annoying and a massive spoiler for what should have been a fantastic reveal. Can we get the name of the quest retitled to something that people can spam in chat without revealing that you go kill your mentor to all the new inquisitor players that don't even have sprint yet? On the chance there are similar revealing tidbits on other quests, could we get those looked at too? The story is awesome, as long as you don't already know the ending. Thanks!
