  1. Thank you for making Mercs unplayable in Ranked so my main has no chance at the good rewards.
  2. I had a match the other day that was 2 sins, an OP healer and a PT vs. my team with a Merc (me), a marauder, sin and a sorc (lightning). Really? They had a healer and we did not. It was a total joke. The match making system is completely broken.

  4. You make a good point. If you are bad at these classes then sure they will not seem overpowered. But when you L2P them you will be unstoppable. Take some time to learn how to play the class properly then come back and say they are not OP. Until then your opinion is moot.
  5. Hell most matches once the fighting starts I consider it a victory if I get to control my toon long enough to fire off an ability. Any ability I dont care what it is just so my abilities are not greyed out for the whole time.

This, My ranked matches usually go something like this, 1st sin/shadow attacks then stuns me, second sin/shadow attacks and I am almost dead, then the scoundrel or OP stuns me and finishes the job. Once the fighting starts I consider it a win if I can activate an ability. Any ability due to stun lock and three cloakers hitting me at once.
  7. The shield was not a damage buff as much as a trade off. It worked great in SWG, the more damage your shield absorbed the less it stopped and the more damage you did. Its a trade off. If people are going to try and burn through your Defenses then the repercussion is you do insane damage. But the real effect is that people switch off of you which is what we want, not to be CC'ed and globaled in the first 10-20 seconds of every round of ranked.
  8. I like those ideas. Let me add a few as well. Give HO speed boost like PT and make a utility point to make you immune to CC while it is active. Maybe increase the CD to 45 seconds. With shields I like the SWG thing. Make it start out at 99% Dmg reduction every attack it drops in absorption and adds to damge so halfway down it gives a 50% damage reduction and a 50% damage boost. At the end it gives a 1% damage reduction but a 99% damage increase. That would be a dont touch button because no one would attack you while it is active fearing a HSM that normally would crit for 15K would now hit for 25K+. I am also in favor of a disengage ability almost like a reverse OP roll but a 2 second root with immunity to push/pull and a 30 meter jetpack jump away. Would be awesome and iconic.

  12. I hear you. I cannot count how many times I have died and could do nothing but watch due to being stun locked and globaled.
  13. Its bad when you have people who do not play merc/cpmmando telling you how to play. I read one guys post that went something like this. You need to have all or most ranked gear, all purple augs, then have a team with a tank guarding you and a healer dedicated to you, then you will see merc shine. To this guys credidt the one match I won I ad just that and I had about 1300 dps and 5 kills. But tell me another class that needs all that to be able to play it correctly? Also would not every other class dominate under those same circumstances? SO that is not a Merc remedy its an any body remedy. Honestly, if I had kolto overload at 60% and HO makes you immune to all CC for the duration, maybe bump the cd to 45 seconds I would be fine, but HO is a useless ability because the moment I active it I am stunned. Also if resolved worked more than about 15% of the time it would help as well.
  14. I went 1-9 yesterday. Every match there was a minimum of 2 sins/shadows. One match was 3 sins and an OP. My only saving grace is that I can share the love that Bio Ware gives Mercs with all my solo ranked friends. If my ranking is going to be bad by design then I will take as many down with me. Most matches went like this. Sin attacks and stuns, take a couple of hits and come out of stun get stunned immediately again, use stun beak pop DC's and die. Every match 2 sins focusing on killing you. I hear people say you need to kite, but if the sins are cloaked how do you kite something you cant see? Oh well going to continue to spread Bio Wars love to all my ranked friends.

  16. I went 0-4 today in ranked. Every team I faced had 2 sins/shadows and either 2 juggs or 1 jugg 1 sorc. It was a total joke. Because the mercs have nothing to keep people off for even a couple of seconds every match was 2 sins and a jugg on me until I died. Most rounds I just sat there ans watched as my merc died because I was stun locked from the getgo until death. I think merc would be in a better place on some of these other servers where the posters come here and say the people there are too stupid to attack the merc and just let them run and cast but on my server they are not that dumb.
  17. Had a typical Merc match this morning. Stunlocked by 2 sins and dead. I am going to keep quing up and dying until BW gets off their lazy asses and fixes Merc. I will drag down as many players as I can with me. Hopefully if I can ruin some Sin and Sorcs scores and they whine enough BW might listen.
  18. I wish the people on my server were as bad as the ones you describe on yours. How do you get the to leave you alone so you can just run around and shoot. That happens to me every now and then but after I drop a ton of damage and a couple of kills I am dead the next round in seconds. When the shadow comes up and stun, stun and more stun and then the jugg goes forcechoke and you are dead. Not being able to move my toon, attack or do anything is not my idea of fun or even engaging. All Mercs need is a buff to shields, lower or take the CD off our cast heal and give some sort of CC immunity to HO like every other class has long CC immunity periods and they will be fine. Hell I would be happy with just some CC immunity so the second I hit HO I am not instantly stunned and that ability is wasted.

  20. Your whole argument falls apart when you claim we do all that damage. Sorcs and Sins do much more than Mercs yet have way more defenses. For me The only thing I would say is take away the ability of anyone to resist or purge E-net and put HO on a longer cooldawn but make the Merc immune to all CC while it is active, remove the cooldown from our second heal. That would make a huge difference. HO is a useless ability because the second you activate it you are stunned and the ability is wasted. I dont even care that much about the other stuff, its just the stunlock and globaled. Let me just activate HO and be immune like EVERY other class in this game that has huge immunity to CC's along with a whole parade of CC's to give out.
  21. See the thing is they don't want to help. Most of these knuckleheads play other classes like Sorc or Sin and they want Mercs left in the dirt so they can have easy kills in ranked or regs. God forbid they had to work for a kill against a Merc. Its a combo of jealousy (no way I want Mercs on par with my class) and laziness (I would hate to actually have to think to kill a Merc, I would rather have my cat walk across the keyboard and kill the Merc while I finish my soda). They will come on here and argue and try to make Merc seem like it is alright so in their minds the devs do not fix the class. Its stupid and petty, yes but we need to make sure that Mercs do get fixed and the aforementioned do not sabotage Mercs being fixed.
  22. So in a nutshell what you are saying for a Merc to be competitive in solo ranked you need a Jugg to guard you, a healer to focus heal you and another person to peel for you. That sounds epic. That must be why Mercs are so popular in solo ranked because they are designed to need three other classes working as one to keep you alive past the first 20 seconds of the match. Brilliant. BTW I also tear it up in regs. I hit 10k rail shots in my sleep, I hit 14-15k TM all day as well. I can blend in and hide with 7 other players. In solo ranked there is no blending in. I have played matches where I get ignored the first round, well guess what after 200k dmg and 3 kills I am dead almost before I get out of the starting gate the next two rounds. So the answer here is play a team too stupid to kill the merc first or play a match where all three other members are doing nothing but using everything they have to keep you alive. Sounds like they have merc balanced and fixed to a tee. No need for any dev attention I guess. Good call.

  24. That is so true. Often when the bad player leaves (they believe they will not be carried this round) they get replaced by a competent player and they team goes on to win. I have seen it many times.
  25. No not at all. I am going off of previous changes. When there is a big tweak or balance patch or patches the BH has been in the first two and gets the shaft, While the class at he end is usually buffed the most. Merc is my main and I am tired of getting the shaft. You may like it and good on you for that but I am over that now. And by the comments it looks like most other Mando/Merc players are as well.
