  1. 1. How do you think your Mercenary spec is perceived by other classes? We are considered bottom tier of the three healing classes at this point in the game with Sorcs being king of PvE and Operatives being king of PvP healers. You took away everything that made Bodyguard spec special; such as the benefits of using Super Charged Gas, which is now either used to vent 8 Heat and then cancel buff, not used at all to keep native 3% healing buff, or used in very rare situations to spam Healing Scan on multiple people. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? While I have adapted to the changes (nerfs) to my class which made it special, its no fun to play like it used to be. We need more tools to be competitive with other healers and bring back our bonuses to using Super Charged Gas. All three healers need more tools added to their toolset to make them fun to play again.
  2. As a healer, the fight isn't over when the mobs die. Our fight is over when everyone is back at full health, as you know most won't use their out of combat restore.
  3. Wow, not surprising that BG/CM typically don't even make the list, and if we do its horrible HPS.
  4. Ability to scale and filter buffs/debuffs. Buffs/debuffs need a countdown timer function you can turn on/off Ability to turn off Portraits Ability to "lock" certain buffs so they can't be clicked on to remove Better buff/debuff seperation
  5. I noticed that today after the Emergency Maintenance that the Guild Bank Log has been cleared. Is this intentional? I don't think this is a good move to clear that log with maintenance. It is already bad enough that if you have a few tabs that are active, the log will refresh on a daily basis. We need to be able to see more transactions, maybe separate the log on a per tab basis? *Edit - I guess this is a bug. I closed out the Guild Bank interface and reopened, and the transactions I made disappeared.
  6. PvE gear system isn't about time spent, its about RNG. Doesn't matter if I can clear the content in three hours or 20 hours per week. Its rng. I have been doing HM/NMM Ops for over three months and have yet to get full Rakata due to rng. Plus, PvE tier system respects those tiers. Fresh 50 don't go jumping into HM EC. They have to pay their dues, and get the gear upgrades first in the content that matches their gear (or get ran through higher content by an experienced team). Why should PvP require fresh 50 to jump straight in against BiS? Just as someone else said above, in sports, the winners don't get a huge advantage. Race car drivers don't get faster cars, baseball players don't get special bats that make them hit harder/further, etc. Its all about skill and team work.
  7. We had this same issue last night a couple of times 8m SM. Don't think it was a mechanic we were missing, as the tank was already dropping spires, and would resume after 1-2 got dropped in shield without having to taunt.
  8. How do you think healers are going to feel if they get focus fired at all times during a WZ? Yep, next to nothing as a reward for our efforts
  9. I don't know. While I finally found a new enjoyment in an mmo as a healer, I just can't imagine it will be any fun for me with the changes. Like others have said, I want a challenge, not stress while playing. My guild isn't a top progression guild, but we are 3/5 nightmare ev, and 9/10 hm (bah Soa). While I have had the worst rng as a BG for Rakata gear, I just can't imagine playing post 1.2 as is. I know my guild isn't perfect, and right now the healers are able to heal up those mistakes that we all make from time to time. We/I won't be able to do that anymore. I am the guild leader and an ops leader, and I don't know if I would allow myself to go for the sake of my guild. I have started leveling both a Sorc and Agent, but I just can't get into leveling them. I hate alts just for that reason. I can't stand releveling just to have to regear, etc. So, tl/dr. Not sure. Most likely will as its what I enjoy, and we are already short on healers.
  10. This is what scares me. They are making it so certain healing classes are unable to clear content anymore. As a Bodyguard/Guild Leader/Ops Leader, and the main healer of our progression Ops, this doesn't sit well. We are just now venturing into NMM, so far 3/5 EV (would be 4/5 EV but our Sorc can't kill their Council Member). The sad thing is, I will most likely have to sit out come 1.2 unless I get my IA or SI leveled in time and geared (which won't happen). I think we can safely say there is less than a 1% chance we will see any tweaks done to our class within 1-2 months after this goes live which will make BG/CM unplayable in progression.
  11. Just think 1.2 REQUIRES us to use our Rapid Shots at all times.
  12. You forgot that the talent change brings TM back down to 1.5 sec cast. So its only downfall is a 10% dmg nerf with no increased cast time. We picked up the talent before, we will pick it up again.
  13. The challenge should come from mechanics, not nerfing healers and dps. They should have left everything existing as is, and made new content more challenging.

  15. This is one of my biggest concerns right here. Right now we have top progression guilds in BiS gear testing these changes, and they have some issues keeping up with the damage being dealt under the new healing changes. What exactly is this going to do to CM/BG that aren't BiS, let alone if their group isn't in BiS? My Ops group is still farming HM and looking to difficulty dance NMM on a few bosses. But due to horrible rng on gear drops (like only two bh Rakata drops, mostly/all agent drops where we have no agent, repeat gear for same person every week, etc) we will stand no chance once 1.2 comes out as is. Heck, some of our HM fights will be stressed (Soa platforms/Lighting Balls) are going to be stressful enough with the changes to medpacs now and will prove near impossible without two sorc aoe to be ready for next phase. I just hope all of this testing by everyone who is putting every effort and spare minute in that they can will show that its too much of a "balance". If the top 1-5% are struggling at times, what are the other 95-99% going to do? I do want say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who is putting in the effort to test these changes and crunch the numbers. You are what makes a mmo community strong!
  16. Didn't read all the replies: Don't forget that healers got their throughput reduced, therefor aren't as powerful as before. This will most likely bring them back up to their original throughput, albeit with slower casts.
  17. Majority of raiders in my guild are biochem. No need to have us make anything for each other. Heck, I had a hard time giving away lower power stims/medpacs as no one wanted them since they were all biochem.
  18. Again, why is your attempt to "fix" something we asked for the most backwards convoluted way of doing so? We asked for healer balance. Major nerfage to healers instead of small balancing buff/nerf! We ask for reduced repair cost on raiding. Nerf consumables instead of reducing repair costs which makes Biochem worthless with all its other nerfs.
  19. They want us to use Powershot more often? They always intended for us to "use" it in between TM, UL, HSM, RS, etc. But the benefit was never there, and still not. Unless you are a BG or Pyro. But that is a whole different story.
  20. So do we have any Combat Medic/Bodyguard testers on PTR? I mean lvl50 who got copied over. Oh wait, the high level guilds that got copied over don't run with CM/BG anyways But seriously, has anyone tested how these changes actually effect us? Has to be someone...
  21. Some things we can't avoid using it, like the Infernal Council fight. The increased cast time + 10% dmg nerf + 5% dmg increase nerf from SCG = No dead council member. I can't afford to spend a talent point for it since I will be struggling w/Heat issues as is, I need all the bonus healing abilities I can pick up! If my math is correct, Powershot will do 35% less dps.
  22. As a bodyguard, I relied on Powershot quite a bit for dps when I needed to. Now, it does 10% less dmg, and takes 0.5 seconds longer to cast. This is IF I don't pick up the talent to reduce the cast time by 0.5 seconds, which I shouldn't need to do. So its still a nerf to Mercs, just not Arsenal.
