I have a couple toons at 54 Learnt the pvp ropes on the way through - addicted to it Have had to much fun to worry about prepping for a strategy at 55, just blew WZ comms on medpax, adrenals and planetary comms for the pve side of things, at least I have a garage load of medpax and adrenals Anyway, Im thinking about the most efficent way to becoming a heavy hitter in pvp sooner rather than later, I expect to be swept up for a week or 2, price you pay I guess Do I take notice of this bolster business ? or just do the time, save the WZ and RWZ comms and go from Set to Set ? Dont quite understand something about Bolster .... Is there a law of diminishing returns ? Great from day 1 but slowly eats away at expertise as you gain pvp gear ? Any tips for a not so prepared 54, keen as on 55 WZs - info would be much appreciated Cheers

I run with a DPS VG as well as a Commando Gunner, the VG is all good as a DPS, just know how to play him post Nerf

Hi all Hoping someone can give me some direction - level 40 Sentinel, building up the Watchman tree but Im more interested in PVP so not sure if this is the ideal tree to be in for the minute, may well change post 55 Im really thinking about the augments, mods, enhancements and armoring I understand that Strength is my primary attribute, and Power not far behind it how much in the way of surge / crit / accuracy ? And is their any advantage in using a certain secondary attribute only in Earpieces and implants ? or is that a chinese whipser gone wrong ? At the moment I have not really looked at the stats, just strength and power all the way but I imagine I will start thinking about it more in a week or 2 and start arranging and changing Cheers

Hi Team After months of frustrating blue screens (kernel power issue) on my gaming laptop hooked up to a 32 inch HD Samsung TV - I am buying a mid range PC Tower for SWTOR - which will also be hooked up to the Samsung as the monitor - my 40 inch Full HD is also an option. I am down to 2 choices - I am in a small town in NZ so have less choice than many abroad (I trust my local guy - known him since childhood and I want to support the wee guy) hence I have gone with him rather than online to 1 of our major city outlets) - but he doesn't have much MMO experience, and no SWTOR experience - but I think I have him tempted now . With a mortgage and triplet boys who eat like adults , buying a high end machine isn't an option for me. Worth pointing out that I know enough about computers to be dangerous, intermediate level at best hence I am down to these 2 for many reasons - but not quite sure. My hope is I can run SWTOR on at least medium settings, maybe a couple settings on high, consistent FPS rate (I understand this is also out of my hands somewhat but its improved a lot since 2 patches ago so I'm not to worried about it), stable, no blue screens. I understand there are no guarantees, I just want to increase my odds. I am purchasing 1 of these 2 PCs in 5 days so I seek the guidance of the Community and would love to hear your opinions if you have a second. I also understand that a couple of the brands in these systems are not top of the pops, I can live with that for now. Gidday all I am in the process of ordering a PC to be built, whereby its all about SWTOR and Formula One to a lesser extent My budgets pretty high - $5000 NZD or approx. $4200US I have only recently began learning about computer hardware so my queries and terminology are in Laymans terms, If my terminology is not quite right, I apologise, still learning I find myself at this point after ordering a Gaming Laptop in November 2011 so to play SWTOR, was fine for 6 to 9 months, last 6 to 9 months, BSODs and needing to turn of graphic settings have crept in. Have being saving for this PC a good 9 months, hoping to mitigate my current issues with a new system, for a bit more context I have warp speed broadband, LAN and WIFI. LAN for SWTOR. I recently transferred from Dalborra to Harbinger Server, hence late 40s Ping to late 140s Ping, some lag in PVP and Fleet (since Harbinger arrival) with current laptop which is hooked up to a Samsung Full HD TV. I was in this game for the long haul Having experienced a week of unplayable lag post transfer, Dalborra to Harbinger, its just unplayable over half the time PvP forget it Fleet forget it Even Ops a struggle at times PvE basic at best I reckon Bio-ware got it wrong when they decided to move the 3 APAC servers to 3 North American Servers, they did not want people on RP or PVP etc servers having to change styles. I would have much preferred to change styles and have no severe lag, unplayable lag makes any option impossible, RP or PVE or PVP done

As a Newbie, I'm trying the DPS version of Vanguard Is it more a melee DPS or good for range as well ? I thought it would be good for both What tree would I climb up on the skill tree ? Any hints on this type of role class would be appreciated cheers

Hi Couple queries Both PvE and PvP Is the set bonus based on the armour shell or the mods inside ? Can you have 2 of each and have 2 set bonuses of 2 ? rather than 1 full set bonus of 4 ? Is there any diffrence between PvE and PvP set bonuses or works the same ? Thanks - appreciate it

horses for courses I guess 12 Thumb buttons on the side is great Using less keys on the keyboard suits me 1 to 12 alt and above shift and above ctrl and above thats 48 buttons via your mouse and I only need touch the directional arrows, alt, shift, ctrl hardly use the keyboard and its only the very right hand side of the keyboard lifted my game imensely in PVP, once the memory muscle kicked in, very fluent and pure pace

some good posts I have the Logitech G700 and inherited a Naga I picked up a G600 which I couldnt go past due to a sale price yesterday I think its horses for courses but I really like the G600, the only 1 of the 3 that is wired G700 is great but I really wanted more buttons for the thumb Logitech is the cheaper of the 3 which is a bonus, Logitech G600 best bang for buck with 12 thumb buttons
