  1. So... After sending my buddy Khem out on a UT mission, he gets back to me with a schematic for these: http://www.torhead.com/schematic/eWQwVGv Only problem is "Requires Smuggler, Jedi Knight" Kinda silly for an empire player to randomly get this don't you think?
  2. Simply a bank/vault that all characters on my account have access to, rather than having to mail stuff beck and forth between my alts. Pretty please?
  3. Goodbye. Feel free to mail me your stuff on your way out.
  4. Not sure if stupid or just trolling.... Blizzard "merged" with Activision, not EA
  5. Dungeon Finder turned WOW into "Standing in capital doing the /dance waiting for group to pop up on screen Online"
  6. I'd very much enjoy space combat more along the lines of EVE-Online, but it's never going to happen.
  7. There has been a heated debate about addons, and whether support for them should or should not be added to the game. Personally, I find myself mostly in the aye-crowd. 1. Addons is in effect a way of outsourcing development. - These forums are on a daily basis riddled with posts complaining about X, Y and Z not being what the person wants it to be. Addons will easily adress many of these issues with no developer time used whatsoever on BioWares part. Take the GTN as an example. If you compare it with WoWs out of the box AH interface, it is rather similar, although with some glaring issues (like nor being able to search effectively) However, most WoW players will not be used to the pretty clunky standard AH in WoW, but rather the much more streamlined interface of addons like Auctioneer or Auctionator. With an API available, addons like these would probably be available for TOR aswell in a matter of weeks, if not days. The same is the case in regards to UI-customization. Why spend dev-resources on doing stuff like this BW, when you can have players do the work for you for free? 2. Addons keeps players playing your game longer. - Again, people complain about stuff they do not find up to par, or to their personal taste. With no other way of tailoring the game and it's UI to their taste than waiting for BW to adress the issues, many will simply do a Cartman and unsub. Good riddance the anti-addon fanatics will undoubtedly say, "we dun like tham addon-folks here!", but most of us really want SWTOR to succeed, and as such, the game should be given the best chance to do so. Let people tailor their experience to their taste, and they will likely stay around for a longer time, putting money into the future development and survivability of the game. 3. "Addons turns the game into easymode" - That really depends on what the API gives access to, and as such, what addons can and cannot do is easily controlled by BW. Thus we could most likely avoid junk-addons like GearScore, AVRE etc etc, that I fully agree brings nothing good to a game. 4. "Addons lead to elitism" - As the normal term is censored, I'll use Sherman T. Potters HORSEHOCKEY! Elitism is and will always be rampant in any MMO community, addons or not. "LFM X-instance! Come to place X for inspection!" Sound familiar? Those of lesser intellect will always use arbitrary measures to decide if other players meet up to their ideas of acceptable group members or not. Addons like Recount would only give proper statistics, rather than silly gearscores or the delusional belief that you can judge the worth/skill of a player by looking at their gear. Not only would this give a far better basis to evaluate the performance of group members, but also your own performance. Now, if you'll excuse me, I shall go change into my flame-resistant underwear, and get a bucket of popcorn! Note: English is not my native language, so please bear with any errors you may find in this wall of text. <3
  8. EVE Online smashes every other MMO to bits in the GFX department to be honest. Now imagine space combat like this in SWTOR
  9. I have to agree with OP on this. While SWTOR is not one of the worst sinners in this field by far (ground missions in ST:O anyone), your character still feels somewhat "disconnected"
  10. The WoW auction-house is pretty bad aswell until you install Auctioneer. I have not used GTN much, but when I did, it annoyed me greatly that I cannot easily see other auctions for the same item, giving me an idea about said items pricing. My advice would be: Have the people responsible for GTN set up a trial-account in EVE-Online and have a look at the way maket is set up there. Easily the best one in any MMO
  11. If your guildies really wanted to play with you, they'd wait for you to get access. Obviously they didn't.
