  1. Hey guys, I'm looking for 3 others that might want to do the final missions for Seeker Droid & Macrobinoculars Heroic +4 (All the pieces & The alchemy of evil). I am on now or alternatively tomorrow Aussie East Coast time 1330hrs 25/02/2018 onwards (US West Coast 1930hrs 24/02/2018 onwards). My character is Xagelon, give me a whisper or send a mail and hopefully we can get it done. I have not done it for a while but I think one of them is easier/requires the trinity Tank/Heals/2 DPS (I am dps).
  2. I'll be up for that. Will be on this evening Aussie time, will message you n I'm on. My character name is He'llum.
  3. I have just recently started using battleping and I'm amazed at the difference it makes. I'm in Brisbane and used to get around 230ms + spikes, now I get a constant 175. I used to notice abilities not registering when I hit them but that doesn't seem to be a problem now. It's $5 a month but I play often enough that it's well worth it.
  4. So I just transferred back to Harbinger and noticed my command tokens had dropped from around 900 to 300. Does anyone know if this is intended? If I go back to Ebon Hawk will I have the full amount again? I get the feeling I won't run out of command tokens anyway as I play fairly casually but they would have been nice to gear some alts.
  5. I am currently leveling a character and like to do all the single player missions but dont like the outlevelling a planet either. I have found if you get the experience debuff (White Acute Module) from fleet that reduces xp gains down to the base level you gain levels at the perfect rate. I am near the end of Dromund Kaas and am level 14 and have been within 1 level of every mission level so far, generally 1 level below. Things that affect my xp are: 1 - Use the White Acute Module. You get it from a Gree vendor in the combat section on fleet. Even if there is no bonus xp event on it still reduces the xp gains from class missions (confirmed working today). Thus it is important to mail it to your character at level 1 as you have a lot of class missions on the first planet. Unfortunately if there is no bonus xp event the vendor disappears so you need to keep a copy of it in your legacy bank. 2 - Do not use any of the experience buffs 3 - Play guildless while leveling (Being in a guild gives up to 10% bonus xp) 4 - Do not pvp or do any flashpoints 5 - I am a subscriber which gives 25% bonus to xp but I see no way of avoiding this as I don't like the ftp restrictions. I do all the single player missions as I level. This includes the exploration missions. I do some bonus missions that pop up but not all. The alternative if you cant get the White Acute Module is to only do your class missions. While my way is an antisocial way of leveling it is still possible if it is your desire.
  6. I have recently moved to Ebon Hawk from Harbinger. EH does pop fairly well in prime time but nothing like the 24 hour Insta pops you get on Harbinger. Lowbies pvp doesn't pop too often but any level 70 FP or uprising shouldn't take more than 10 minutes or so. I haven't queued for MM FPs yet so can't comment there. As for operations you pretty much need a guild on this server (at least pub side, I've not spent much time on imp side yet). I don't think I've ever seen any pugs forming in fleet chat since I've been here. This I don't find a massive problem as so many pug runs on Harbinger are full of toxic people or ninjas. Not sure if my comparisons to Harbinger are of any use to you as I don't know what server you are moving from but I can highly recommend EH (it doesn't break once a week). The community here is fantastic, the chat is always friendly, people help out more and if you are wanting to raid you'll easily find a guild to fit your play style. However I will say that endgame will be pretty hard to get anywhere without a guild.
  7. These specs sound more than fine. The piece of hardware that makes the biggest difference to swtor is the hard drive. Get a SSD hard drive, it makes a world of difference in loading times.
  8. I think the OPs point is that the game told him to run to the port side of the ship, then instead of directing him to the port side of the ship it directed him starboard. A minor gripe which he did state.
  9. I haven't tried myself yet but remember reading somewhere in the patch notes that non storyline missions would not be viewable by default. Is there an option in our preferences somewhere that might make these solo missions viewable? That could be the issue. Bummer if they have taken them away.
  10. Aware this is an old post but does anyone know if a force armour can crit? If not I'm gathering this is a large part of the reason why power is preferred over crit for seers.
  11. Ok thanks, seems unanimous. I might have to work on my rotation, I seem to have HiB available at 4 stacks quite often.
  12. Is it worth the extra Grav Round to get 1 more charged barrier or is it more effective to use after 2 uses of GR (4 charged barrier). So HiB more often at 24% bonus or wait for the 5th charge? Just remembering the days of the sage when clipping telekinetic throw was advantageous and wondered if this was a commando secret I was unaware of.
  13. Oh and thirdly I can't remember off the top of my head but the ability to stockstrike>knockback and keep the root active would be another alternative if it doesn't already work that way.
  14. Firstly it's refreshing to see a post that stays on topic and no one is raging at each other And secondly This is a great idea
  15. No it does not raise the level requirement to wear. If you're willing to spend the money when you create the toon and have an armour set you like it works out great. You can add augments as you level up which is a big advantage in pvp.
  16. I guess time will tell. It's good to hear most people queue for the fun of it but I also didn't really expect anyone to post on here saying "yes I will quit warzones more often." Those people are unlikely to post on here or would not admit it if they did. It's likely to be an unintended side affect that as comms lose their value that leaving a wz might become a bit more common. Currently it's fairly common too see 15 participants in a losing side that has gotten rolled. I'm just hoping it doesn't get worse. For the first few months I expect pvp to really pick up though and am quite excited for some changes to pvp.
  17. With the upcoming price drop for gear coming in 3.3 I feel that players will be able to achieve full dark reaver sets within a decent timeframe now and for that I'm really excited. Hopefully it's going to mean more pvers trying wz's and overall more people. Quicker pops and different groups which will hopefully translate to more ranked games as well. What I'm worried about is that once people have full gear the temptation to quit a losing wz early will be much higher for many players. This of course will only affect normal wz's but this is where the majority of pvp takes place. I guess it brings forward the question of have they dangled the carrot too close for too many players? MMO's depend on that gear grind for continued participation and this will rely on playing for fun (and getting stomped isn't fun) or gearing alts. Will the topic of lockouts need to be bought up again if it does become an issue?
  18. Hey Everyone, just posting to say goodbye to all my friends & enemies on MDN as I am going travelling for 18 months around the world. My last night on is probably going to be the 5th May. I have had a great time on this server, especially in the pvp arena in the last year or so. Hope everyone enjoys their new destination servers - Strike Team will mostly be heading to Harbinger where most of us have already rerolled a new character of some description. Special thanks to all the guys from Advent Children who have now merged with Strike Team. This server has been great with such a tight knit community however the limited size has also been its downfall. I personally think PvP has been eroded due to such a small population and a couple of exceptionally good PvP guilds that have dominated both imp and pub sides. In a larger server this would not be a problem but it has had a detrimental affect on 50 (now 55) pvp. Such dominance has driven many people away due to such one sided matches which is why it is rare to see more than 1 game at a time being played at max level. This is no ones fault and I am not playing the blame game. My rant is also not going to suddenly make EA change their mind about closing down this server, it is just simply me having a rant. Really hope you all enjoy the US servers, the ping isnt too bad but good luck with your interrupts. Hellum <Strike Team>
  19. The top tier schematics you can learn from your crafting trainer as you say is level 22. The higher level gear falls in FP's and Operations. As a cybertech you can pull mods and reverse engineer them for a chance to learn the schematic (if you hover your mouse over the mod once you have pulled it, it will show if you have a chance to reverse engineer it. Armourings are slightly different in that you can't learn a schematic from every piece. If the armouring is tied to a slot (head, chest, hands, legs or boots) you won't have a chance to learn a schematic from it. You can only learn armouring schematics from pieces pulled from offhand, wrist or waist items. This makes these items premium and hence why you will pay more for them on the GTN. The crafting materials required to make the higher level items are acquired from running ops or the GTN. You also get some when reverse engineering high level gear including pvp gear. You can check askmrrobot.com for what materials you require to craft a piece.
  20. Done deal Layda Hellum <advent children>
  21. I would be happy to put my hand up for sage heals as well. I solo pvp 90% of the time so wouldn't really affect me. Also available for rateds if anyone's looking for extra heals. Hellum <advent children>
  22. When i was pvping lots a few months back Luc (sith warrior i think) used to chase me around everywhere and there was nothing I could do being a squishy healer sage. Those days i had no tanks friends either I have rolled a guardian and will be keeping an eye out for you Luc once I hit 50 lol Hellum <Advent Children>
  23. Vundaca - 41 Commando Arritech - 40 Operative Hullem - 46 Guardian Hellum - 50 Sage Yogoro - 50 Warrior Must admit I've seen a few familiar names floating around in the pre 50 wz's......I havent done much 50 pvp for quite a while so cant wait to get these guys to 50 Hellum <Advent Children>
