  1. Many of us knew and said this was going to happen if they let too many credits into the server, which they did. Unfortunately the people that don't play the game but whinged the loudest ruined it for us again.
  2. I agree. They should make it free for whoever wants to transfer but no credits allowed.
  3. Unfortunately I've been playing since beta, over 3 years longer than you have and MMOS since the mid 90s. Making up stories isn't going to help your case, sorry. I just want what's best for the server and the people that play on it.
  4. That's not a thing. People have been buying creds for 12 years. Why do you think everyone is mad they can't bring their bought credits over?
  5. Playing the GTN isn't something that should exist. I've already made a post about that asking for re-selling to not be allowed. PvP hasn't lived, the server isn't old enough yet. OPS haven't been a thing for 5 years or so. That's expected. There's also no seasons active which is always going to be the time when populations are at their smallest.
  6. Everyone that plays the game has already earned and spent their credits on those things. Of course they're going to run to the GTN and ruin the game for everybody else.
  7. No, it's not. There's no issues finding groups. The server isn't 12 years old, it's still maturing. It was only going to get better. Now it's going to be dead before it even had a chance.
  8. So you're happy to just kill the server like the rest? I don't understand. Why are you folding to people who clearly don't even play the game and just want to ruin the economy? This will not end well. Everything is going to cost 10-20x more than it currently does(initially, but will only go up) because of the huge influx of credits. If people can't afford to buy things then what's the point of playing anymore? Chasing character customisation options is literally the only thing we have. If you can't grind for it through heroics etc. then we're left with nothing to do. Please re-consider. 32m was more than enough, it didn't need to change.
  9. Thanks guys. Whilst I would have preferred 0 credits instead I understand you had to appeal to the players that wanted it too. Glad you found a middle ground.
  10. Yes, gaming isn't for everyone. MMORPGs are definitely not for everyone. There's no logical reason to allow any more than a few hundred thousand of credits per character to transfer. If you don't want to 'leave it behind' then you don't have to, the server is still there. SV is an amazing place for APAC players and we want it to stay that way. Bringing too many credits in is the fastest way to make it as bad as the other servers where most people would rather take the option of not playing SWTOR at all.
  11. It seems reporting via UI doesn't actually do anything except add a 'dead' open ticket to your account. None of them have any replies whereas normal tickets get replied to within a day. This wouldn't be so bad if "Close Ticket" wasn't also bugged for these reports, since it doesn't do anything except say, "Error encountered, unable to close ticket." Now I can't create any more reports because it says I have the maximum amount of open tickets but none of them are ever going to be resolved and I can't close them myself. Would love if someone could clear those out for me. Thanks!
  12. Isn't it the other way around? Everyone else earns the credits they need but you are saying 'group' players shouldn't have to.
  13. They aren't making that in 30 minutes, but you can make enough to cover repairs for a long time in that time. Then you need to play around your life. If you can't afford to raid and your guild can't afford to raid then there's a simple solution...
  14. Easily will. Most people are making 2-4m per day at the moment because buying stuff is actually possible. It's a great incentive to actually play the game instead of being locked out of purchasing anything at all. If they aren't prepared to maintain their gear then the rest of the server shouldn't suffer because of the laziness of a few.
  15. Sure is; you aren't wiping all day, every day though. You can do some heroics and pay that off in less than 30 minutes.
  16. Repair costs? That sucked on day 1, it's been well over a month. If you choose to do something that requires credits you farm for it, like everybody else. It's most certainly not a valid reason to ruin a server with insane credit transfers. Everyone I talk to either wants no transfers at all or no credit transfer at the very least. The fact they are even considering letting credits through at all is cause for concern.
  17. I'll transfer 1 char that has all the mounts I've collected. I've already grinded up 20 chars on the new server so they aren't an issue. I would not care if it didn't happen at all but I will definitely care if they allow more than a few hundred thousand credits per char to be moved over. You can buy anything you want in a day or two of grinding currently; would hate to see that change.
  18. I only play when subbed and I've spent thousands on cartel coins. I'm not sure why you had to assume in completely the wrong direction because I don't want to see the last server we have as dead as the rest.
  19. I just hope the credit limit is very, very low. Being able to afford items that you can grind for makes SV the only server worth playing on as of now. 500k per character sounds like plenty to me though I would be more happy with no credit transfers at all. You also have to bind people's stuff to them so they can't be added to the GTN after being transferred. This could all go really bad or really well as long as the restrictions are harsh. We don't want to see the only server left being destroyed. I don't think the game can afford to lose it at this point.
  20. Pretty much everyone I ever talked to when costs got out of hand had bought credits. I've never heard of anyone being suspended/banned for it. The fact it's just a part of the game is something that can be avoided by not ruining the cost of items on the GTN. I would even prefer if BS sold the credits themselves; at least then it goes towards the game and not some bot farm. It's not realistic to farm 5billion through heroics for some items you want. When they are only 5million, as can be seen on Shae Vizla, nothing is out of reach. That is how the economy should be. Pandering to people who buy credits only makes more people buy credits and then you end up with prices like on the other servers. It's just not how a game should operate.
  21. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. People just buy credits and then buy whatever price it was being sold for which is what leads to things costing so much and at the same time gives cash to bots instead of the game. That's part of the reason I don't like re-selling; it just gets to a point where everyone buys credits to keep up with the costs.
  22. Not so much worried about the servers that are already ruined but Shae Vizla in particular. It all could be moot if they allow trillions to come in via transfer but since nothing has been said yet I thought I would put it out there. It just seems like an obvious change that is only beneficial to everyone and easy to implement and was confused as to why it wasn't already added with the aforementioned GTN update.
  23. Please make items bought from the GTN bound to the player. Re-sellers are terrible for the economy by buying everything cheap and re-selling for a lot more. Some of us put items on there for a decent price to make it feel like a win for the buyer. There is none of this when it gets bought and re-sold for 3x+ more. The greed of some individuals should not outweigh legitimate and friendly player trading. I was hoping something like would be done during the GTN update or at least tested on Shae Vizla(which is where it's very obvious at the moment.) Would love to see it implemented. If there's worry about buying "gifts" then a gift function can be added on purchase that sends the item to the recipient.
  24. I only do flashpoints when I play SWTOR. I've now un-subbed since so far I have 0 of this currency and if what you say is true about the gear, what's the point? I have 29 other level 75 chars I was keen to level and gear but this patch is doing it's best to chase me away instead. I'll keep an eye on the patches and maybe they will turn it around but so far, everything in 7.0 is a huge downgrade.
