How many subscriptions still around in 6 months?
SnakeBites replied to Magnusmaximus's topic in General Discussion
A rather pointless thread. For the sake of it, i'll guess 500k - 750k subs. -
Wow yeah, who would have thought. It MUST be my rig. Here are my specs, tell me what i need to upgrade so i don't have this problem bro. i7-2700k Quad Core 8GB RAM 2GB AMD RADEON HD6970 - Crossfire Windows 7 - 64 bit. An example of how unpolished endgame is
SnakeBites replied to GeLopez's topic in Flashpoints, Operations, and Heroic Missions
According to this thread, if you're level 50, you rushed & you're an idiot. I also like that fact that alot of these people who call others "idiots" don't have the best of grammar. Please answer me this, when is it acceptable for someone to reach endgame in this game? Can we agree on a certain date? By reading some peoples drivel on these forums, if they're not 50, then anyone who is must have "rushed". Some people have more time on their hands than others. Shock, horror. If it wasn't for people like the OP playing endgame, then who knows when these issues will be fixed? The fact that the OP took their time to post a very good post with details as to what is wrong then only get insulted & flamed by these 'cool kids' who think they know better sums it all up, really. Thank you OP for bringing these issue to light & i hope Bioware can look at this thread & see what they need to fix. -
So you create a thread as to why SWTOR will flourish & you only give 2 reasons why? Well done, i guess?

Your point being? This game still requires people to be quick off the mark to pull abilities off at the right time. Especially when raiding & doing high-end PvP. My point being that if those FPSs had ability delay, they would nowhere near as popular. You probably wouldn't even see them around because no-one would be playing them. It doesn't matter what genre i use as an example, responsive controls are a must.
-
One of the first things i noticed whilst playing this game is the ability delay. At first i thought it was my connection. Everything just feels clunky. Can you imagine if CoD, CSS, or Battlefield had any ability delay? With grenades or reloading. Gamebreaking. There's no way they would be as popular. This is basically a deal breaker for me & it looks like i'm not the only one. I'll give Bioware some time to see if this issues gets fixed. If not, then it's time to move on. No amount of story, voice acting & content will make an MMO very successful if the combat is unresponsive.

Bahaha, brilliant.

I wonder what percentage will cancel prior to their first billing?
SnakeBites replied to Chiricahua's topic in PvP
Aye, i was going to mention in my post that Darkfall is an MMO with good PvP. But i'm not really here for the PvP, i'm here for the story. PvP in this game is something to do after i've spent a few hours questing. -

Not many companies get PvP right in MMO's. If the game is PvE centric then the PvP is usually an afterthought which results in a garbage PvP system. Never buy into companies hype, no-matter what they say their PvP is like. What i do now is play games like Battlefield 3 & Red Orchestra for my PvP fix, because MMO's hardly ever get it right. Mostly every MMO makes the same mistake, over & over. It's as if they don't do their research or play their own games to see where the problem lies. Take Star Wars PvP for what it is. Something to do when you're bored with questing. As the system stands right now, it will never be taken seriously competitively. I hope they will make me eat those words in years to come. -
& that's the reason why people are asking for brackets. well done, you worked it out. Have a gold star.

Well put.

You're right about that, my friend.

How to lose 400,000 subscribers in the first month, by BioWare
SnakeBites replied to Elytharra's topic in PvP
I like how if anyone is level 50 already, all the casual bads claim it as "rushing". Yeah, because this game is hard to reach 50. Now i know all the people who think brackets are not needed like having that advantage over the lower levels because they feel they're actually decent at PvP & can feel superior. BUT for those PvPers who actually want a competetive PvP environment, why wouldn't you want brackets? As a level 50 scoundrel healer, i have all of my healing abilities available, that includes an AOE HoT plus energy regen tools. Compare that to a level 10 scoundrel healer? I thought so. -
Your life must be VERY busy for you to take the time & effort to post useless drivel on the forums. I work in a hospital, i work 46 hours a week & i have a level 42 Scoundrel. Why are you acting as if leveling takes long in this game?

In reponse to those complaining about unresponsive controls

Is this what it has come down to? People are actually saying that this is an intended feature? Funny, because Stephen Reid doesn't seem to think so. Q: "Ability Delay. Have you guys discussed this internally, and if so, is there an ETA for a fix on this issue?" "Hey! It has been discussed internally, and we'll talk about it publicly soon. It's not a simple issue so we don't want to issue a quick, off-the-cuff response." Source -

If you think this issue is caused by "button mashing" then i have no idea why you're even in this thread because you don't know what you're talking about. But hey, you can keep acting as if you're an awesome player telling others to "learn to play the game". It really does make you look cool, honest.
