  1. It could be really really bad if done. For example, my lvl 75 valor toon on a low pop server probably wont stand a chance to someone on a high pop who can play 4x more games to get 4x more valor and gear. People will rage do to the overwhelming unbalance.
  2. I love my Sawbones and yes the Sage is better right now but the Sawbones isn't made to be a main tank healer by any means. Again, people are upset the class they rolled isn't the best. Sawbones is a support healer, spot heal the raid and keep hots up to help with spike damage where ever you can. Your Commandos and Sages should be on the tank.
  3. The class is fine. most people on these forums are complaining because of all the changes to every class but they aren't the skilled players who can learn to adapt to the changes. IMO, all the people who complain that the healing, damage, and surivability needs to be buffed are bad or noobs who just want to play a OP class. This goes for all the classes, every forum has people raging about changes or need a buff but no one welcomes a nerf because their class is great at everything; everyone wants the advantage but not everyone can have it
  4. Is this the most effective way to balance the class tho? Why can't they just buff the 31 pointers to make them more attractive or provide a reason to using these while still keeping the hybrids. Being able to customize your game play is key for some players who don't want to be in cookie cutter builds.
  5. I also find myself watching the buff bar a bit to much. I would love to have the combat text that RIFT has because it shows you the skill icons of your procs and damage.
  6. I don't see anything wrong with this
  7. I put a helmet on him and now he doesn't look to bad, actually between about 40-45 I thought he looked way more bad *** then I did!
  8. I actually rolled a Shadow because of the double-bladed light saber
  9. All though I wouldn't agree with everything the OP said, but there have been some fights where I wish I was balance for the DOTs to keep damage up while im running or moving around to avoid other mechanics. I'm still a bit tempted to try it out again.
  10. I've really thought about this spec but as far as PVE raiding dps is concerned, I wonder if the 5 points in the Kinetic Combat is more oval damage then having Upheaval. Has anyone crunched the numbers? I really think the armor penetration is more a benefit but this is more of a "fun" spec if you aren't into min/maxing i guess.
  11. I think I fought him on my Sage and Shadow around lvl 33ish and didn't really have any issues. With my sage I just kitted him around and stayed away from the blast. On my Shadow I was able to interrupt everything and downed him pretty quickly.
  12. Would be really nice if this forum had a search feature.
  13. The funny thing is you will get the 10% melee damage bonus before the animation is finished.
  14. I'm enjoying my Republic toons more then my empire toon, and thats my lvl 50 ><
  15. Just a bit, that audio interview with that developer that came out a few weeks back said the project animation is .8 seconds and shock is .1.
  16. I'll agree with this translation. I enjoyed my WoW time the most playing an enchantment shaman because its proc based so you need to be focused on procs and Shadow Balance is pretty similar to that setup although it doesn't have as many skills as the shaman did. My Shadow is currently lvl 30 and I'm having a blast with him with this spec.
  17. shock is a .1 sec animation to cast the spell and project is .8 second of animation.
  18. I found it funny how people give up the game with out seeing a high majority of the content. You basically played for 1 day (I hit 25 in 1 day ) and gave up. You probably went to 3 planets. The End game planets are amazing and very much more depth. It's to bad a lot of people are quitting before the they can even finish the first act of their story.
  19. caldera isn't a tank he is a melee DPS. This could explain some of the issues you are having. He just may not be geared to take a beating from the lvl mobs you are fighting. The rotation looks fine, I would suggest starting the fight with 30 stacks of CSC and popping your gas to get the shield buff the kolto missile puts up.
  20. I went full bodyguard leveling and had no issues with level, in fact I was server first by 5 levels. Having the ability to solo heroics and DPS/Heal is win win.
  21. I wanted to share some insight on my level experience. Some may say I have no life and rushed the content and that's my fault for what I experience. Lets start by saying I used 4 days of PTO to play the game (plus normal weekend so 6 days to get lvl 50). A big part of MMOs to me is being able to do new content first or within the first wave of release. I was able to get into the game on the first day on the 2nd wave. A good amount of players from my guild were also in on the first day (~15) to start leveling. As most of them had other real life obligations (finals and work) I was able to focus 100% to level for the entire week. One of the reason's I like to get ahead in a MMO release is to be able to quest with out fighting other players for quest items/respawns and enormous amounts of server lag due to the population on the server at one time (RIFT was absolutely nuts on the first day). With that said, Biowares plan to release them in waves was good in theory. I liked it to start until I reached Balmorra. Once here I was only able to chat and play with 3 other players at my level. Kass and Hutta had a good amount of players to play with. The good thing is, I never had a issue with getting quest items or fighting server lag (I actually never lagged or disconnected due to server lag, the Taris memory issue is a different story). I was able to hit 22 on the first day, on the 2nd day I proceed to catch and pass others that were leveling with me. I had 1 other player to play with from lvl 26 to 35. From this point and all the way to 50 I was playing the game alone. Playing on Taris, Hoth, Voss, Belsavis, and Corellia the game felt like a single player game just going through quests trying to get the max level. I guess I made my own bed so I had to lay in it with the fact that I wanted to get max lvl quickly and because of the system that was put in place I either had to stop playing and wait or just log off and wait for others to catch up. All of the above brings up an other topic. I appears the game is designed to do a good portion of content in groups with all the heroic quests. Most in my guild were leveling faster then the server population but weren't all on the same quests lines as each other. Several guild members including myself found areas of the game where they dried out quests but weren't high enough level to move on to the next planet which caused a struggle in leveling. All in all I really enjoyed the Bounty Hunter story line. It was fantastic to the very end and I really enjoyed a high majority of the planets (except Taris). Ok, enough rambling, happy leveling to all!
  22. I find it funny you want a server forum to troll players on your server!!
